Sun Feb 5 202300:44Jaren Jackson Jr. May Miss Another Game On Sunday
Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (thigh) is questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Toronto Raptors. He didn't suit up on Thursday versus the Cleveland Cavaliers because of right thigh soreness, opening the door for Santi Aldama to enter the starting lineup and finish with 21 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 4-for-7 from deep. If Jackson is ruled out again, Aldama should be classified as a must-start fantasy option, even more so if Ja Morant (wrist) doesn't play either.

Thu Feb 2 202319:25Jaren Jackson Jr. Won't Suit Up Thursday
Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (thigh) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. This doesn't come as a shock considering he was listed as doubtful coming into the game. Santi Aldama will slide into the starting five with Jackson on the sideline. It's a tough matchup for Aldama, but he's worth streaming considering on Thursday. The Grizzlies are thin at the frontcourt, so Aldama should get plenty of minutes. Xavier Tillman Sr. will continue to start at center and will have increased value until Steven Adams (knee) returns.

Thu Feb 2 202315:02Jaren Jackson Jr. Doubtful For Thursday's Action
Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. (thigh) is doubtful for Thursday's game against Cleveland. The Grizzlies are finishing off a back-to-back situation and the team might elect to rest Jackson Jr., who has a sore right thigh. The 23-year-old had another productive game against Portland on Wednesday and has turned into a big piece for Memphis on both ends of the floor. He is averaging 16.5 points for the campaign with 6.7 rebounds and 3.3 blocks. With Steven Adams (knee) out, the Grizzlies frontcourt has already taken a big hit and Jackson Jr.'s absence would be a further blow. Brandon Clarke, who dropped to the bench in favor of Xavier Tillman on Wednesday, should find his way back to the starting unit against the Cavaliers if Jackson Jr. indeed can't play.

Mon Jan 30 202308:11Jaren Jackson Jr. Posts 28 Points, Five Blocks Sunday
Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. crushed it at both ends of the floor in Sunday's 112-100 win over Indiana, scoring a game-high 28 points and swatting away five shots. He shot 12-for-19 from the field with a 3-for-8 record from deep and added eight rebounds to his tally with one assist and one steal. Hopefully, the Grizzlies scorekeeper didn't have anything to do with Jackson Jr.'s superb all-around line. The 23-year-old has developed into a huge defensive presence, averaging 3.2 blocks per game, and he has also proven himself as a solid shooter. Jackson Jr. finished January with 41 percent shooting from deep and his overall efficiency has jumped from last year's miserable 41.5 percent to nearly 50 percent.

Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. turned in a huge game on both sides of the ball as the team beat the Orlando Magic 123-115 on Thursday night. The 23-year-old posted 31 points, 10 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and three blocks while only turning the ball over twice. The most impressive part was the fact that he only missed two of his 14 shots and went 2-for-3 from deep. This was his first 30-point game of the season and his fourth double-double.

Sun Jan 1 202315:08Jaren Jackson Jr. Removed From Injury Report
Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (rest) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Sacramento Kings. The 23-year-old sat out on Saturday, which isn't surprising as the team wants to try and keep him healthy. Jackson will return for the second leg of the back-to-back set. The Grizzlies are banged up right now, so Jackson could be in for a big game. Fantasy managers should check their lineups and make sure he's in there for Sunday's slate.

Tue Dec 13 202208:24Jaren Jackson Jr. Ties Grizzlies Record With Eight Blocks
Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. had a historic night Monday, tying the franchise record for most blocks in a game by swatting away eight of Atlanta's shots. The Gasol brothers and Stromile Swift previously shared the record, but they have company now. Jackson Jr. also had a good offensive performance with 15 points on 6-for-11 shooting, and his line included seven rebounds and two assists as well. Memphis needed his services for only 24 minutes, as the game turned into a blowout. Jackson Jr. is a huge contributor defensively and has now racked up a total of 17 blocks across the last three games. He has averaged 3.6 swats a night for the season, which would comfortably put him on the top of the pile on the league's leaderboard if he had played enough games to qualify. The 23-year-old missed the start of the season because of a fractured foot and Monday's outing was only his 11th appearance of the campaign.

Mon Dec 5 202215:16Jaren Jackson Jr. Won't Play Monday
Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (rest) won't suit up for Monday's game against the Miami Heat. The 23-year-old continues to work up his conditioning following offseason foot surgery. This is the second game of a back-to-back set, so it makes sense that the Grizzlies would have Jackson sit out. Steven Adams will return after sitting out on Sunday, while Brandon Clarke should remain in the starting five. Fantasy managers should check to see if Clarke is available because he'll be a strong streaming option for Monday.

Wed Nov 23 202210:55Jaren Jackson Jr. Has Strong Performance On Tuesday
Memphis Grizzlies center/forward Jaren Jackson Jr. continues to put up some big numbers on both sides of the ball since returning just a couple of games ago. This was his third game back from his foot surgery in the offseason. Against the Sacramento Kings, the big man posted 22 points, three rebounds, one assist, three steals, and five blocks on 8-for-14 shooting. He hasn't been playing 30 minutes or more just yet, but the progress that he's been showing has been very encouraging. He's already producing more than most bigs at the same minutes-per-game mark.

Sat Nov 19 202208:54Jaren Jackson Jr. Shines Against OKC
Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. had a great night against the Thunder Friday, leading all scorers with 25 points and picking up 12 rebounds with two steals and three blocks. He shot 7-for-16 from the field, including 3-for-6 from downtown, and 8-for-11 at the charity stripe. Jackson Jr. logged 25 minutes in what was only his second game of the season. According to reports, Jackson Jr. isn't on a minutes restriction, so his workload should get to 30-plus minutes soon, and it might even be in the next game, with Memphis needing to have its best players on the court for as long as possible after Ja Morant (ankle) picked up an injury Friday.

Tue Nov 15 202219:13Jaren Jackson Jr. Starting In Season Debut Tuesday
Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. (foot) will play and start Tuesday against the New Orleans Pelicans. Jackson is making his season debut, but there has been no reports of a minutes restriction so far. Jackson's return will likely mean less minutes for John Konchar and Santi Aldama. However, with Desmond Bane (toe) out for the next two-to-three weeks, they should all have decent roles moving forward.

Tue Nov 15 202214:49Jaren Jackson Jr. Questionable To Make Season Debut
Memphis Grizzlies center Jaren Jackson Jr. (foot) has officially been listed as questionable to make his season debut on Tuesday night against the New Orleans Pelicans. The 23-year-old big man underwent surgery on his right foot to address a stress fracture in the offseason. After a four- to six-month recovery process, he's on the cusp of playing again for the 9-5 Grizzlies. Last season, Jackson averaged 16.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 2.3 blocks per game while being named to the All-Defensive first team. Once he does get back into the rotation, he would be a must-add, if he's not rostered already, in all fantasy formats.

Wed Nov 9 202221:21Jaren Jackson Jr. Continues To Progress
Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (foot) has progressed to doing 5-on-5 workouts. The 23-year-old began doing 3-on-3 workouts earlier this month, so it appears he's continuing to move forward. Despite that, head coach Taylor Jenkins says this is baby steps for the young forward. The team hasn't given a timetable for his return, which means it probably won't be anytime soon. Brandon Clarke should continue to see a boost in playing time while Jackson is sidelined. It sounds like fantasy managers are going to be without Jackson for a bit longer.

Tue Aug 16 202222:53Jaren Jackson Jr. Should Be 100% After Rehab
Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (foot) is expected to miss a significant amount of time to begin the season. The 22-year-old underwent surgery in June to repair a stress fracture in his right foot. However, according to Dr. Kenneth Jung, a foot and ankle specialist, Jackson should be 100% after completing rehab. The No. 4 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft played a career-high 78 games in 2021 after playing 58 or less throughout his previous three seasons, including suiting up for only 11 contests in 2020-21 due to a knee injury. Unquestionably, Jackson has plenty of talent. But his inability to remain healthy will cause his fantasy stock to plummet heading into October. Nevertheless, with Memphis anticipated to be without Jackson for a while, Brandon Clarke may be the primary beneficiary, whether as a starter or off the bench.

Fri Jul 1 202210:14Jaren Jackson Jr. To Be Sidelined 4-6 Months
Memphis Grizzlies power forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. (foot) underwent surgery to fix a stress fracture in his right foot this past week. He is expected to be sidelined for four-to-six months. If he can meet the front end of that estimate, he could be back at some point in November. However, if he winds up taking six months to return, we won't see him until around Christmas or later. Jackson was a stat-stuffer once again in 2021-22. The 22-year-old averaged 16.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 1.6 three-pointers per game last year. The team will likely rely upon Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke and Xavier Tillman Sr. to fill Jackson's void until he's back.

Thu Mar 31 202218:25Jaren Jackson Jr. Doubtful For Friday
Memphis Grizzlies center Jaren Jackson Jr. (thigh) is listed as doubtful for Friday's game against the Phoenix Suns. Jackson is dealing with right thigh soreness. He played through the injury on Wednesday and compiled nine points, five boards, five assists, two blocks and one steal over 25 minutes. Steven Adams (calf) is also doubtful for Friday's game. If both players indeed wind up sitting, we should see a lot of minutes for Xavier Tillman Sr. and Brandon Clarke. Both players would be worthy streamers on Friday, with Clarke being the more enticing option.

Tue Mar 29 202218:17Jaren Jackson Jr. Questionable For Wednesday's Game
Memphis Grizzlies power forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (thigh) is listed as questionable ahead of Wednesday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. Jackson is dealing with right thigh soreness. The injury caused him to sit out on Monday when the team played the Golden State Warriors. Kyle Anderson started in Jackson's place on Monday and went on to post 13 points and five boards over 25 minutes. If Jackson remains out on Wednesday, we'll see a combination of Anderson, Brandon Clarke and Xavier Tillman Sr. filling in for Jackson's production.

Mon Mar 28 202219:51Jaren Jackson Jr. Will Miss Monday’s Contest
Memphis Grizzlies power forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (thigh) has been ruled out for Monday's game vs. the Warriors due to a sore right thigh. The absence marks just the second of the year for Jackson, paving the way for Brandon Clarke (hip) and Kyle Anderson to play elevated roles in the frontcourt. Jackson enters Monday leading the league in blocks per game (2.3), in addition to snagging a career-best 5.8 boards on a nightly basis. The next opportunity for Jackson to return to action comes Wednesday against San Antonio.

Tue Dec 14 202109:00Jaren Jackson Jr. Shakes Off An Injury With A 22-Point Effort
Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. put up 22 points in 26 minutes during Monday's blowout win over Philly, shooting 8-for-17 from the field and 5-for-6 at the charity stripe. He had an off night from downtown with a 1-for-6 record but did plenty of work in other areas, registering four rebounds and two assists with one steal and two blocks. Jackson Jr. missed a game over the weekend, and he was questionable for Monday's contest with knee soreness, but it looks like the injury isn't too bad after all. Getting more rebounds from Jackson Jr. would be nice, but he's on a good scoring tear right now and should continue it against Portland and Sacramento this week. The matchup against the Kings is particularly sweet, as opposing bigs have embarrassed them throughout the season.
