Aiken caught his only target for 22 yards in Sunday's 38-10 win over the Panthers.
As the No. 5 wide receiver, Aiken has logged fewer than 10 snaps per game, despite playing well when occasionally called upon. The Ravens seem to be fond of his run blocking, as a good chunk of his snaps have come in one and two-wide formations. If Jacoby Jones continues to struggle, Aiken could perhaps see a bit more playing time, though Marlon Brown is the more obvious beneficiary.

Aiken played one snap in Thursday's 26-6 win over the Steelers.
Head coach John Harbaugh hinted at a bigger role for Aiken, but that unsurprisingly didn't come to fruition. As the No. 5 wide receiver, Aiken figures to log single-digit snaps most weeks, meaning he can be ignored in nearly every format.

Speaking of Aiken's performance in Sunday's opener against the Bengals, Ravens coach John Harbaugh said, "If you play like that, you earn more playing time," CSN Baltimore's Bo Smolka reports.
Aiken, who is seemingly fifth on the depth chart, played 12-of-88 snaps in a game that saw four Baltimore wideouts log at least 40. While he did avoid the drops and poor routes that plagued the rest of Baltimore's receiving corps, Aiken would need any added playing time to come at the expense of Marlon Brown and/or Jacoby Jones. Despite Harbaugh's strong hint, it won't be surprising if Aiken gets fewer than 12 snaps in Thursday's game against the Steelers.

Aiken had four catches for 30 yards on four targets in Sunday's loss to the Bengals.
The Ravens kept seven wide receivers, and it was Aiken who got the nod as the No. 5 wideout Sunday, while Deonte Thompson and Michael Campanaro were inactive. Aiken was sometimes used in formations with three wide receivers, and he also took a few snaps with fellow WR Marlon Brown in two-wide formations when the Ravens went with their run-blocking personnel. Aiken made the most of his 12 snaps while the team's other wideouts struggled, so he could maintain some kind of role in the offense for Week 2.
Mon Sep 1 201416:27Aiken made final roster
Aiken made the final roster, the Ravens' official website reports.
The Ravens decided to keep seven wide receivers, meaning someone will probably be cut within the next week or two. Aiken put together a nice training camp and preseason, but he's likely sixth or seventh on the depth chart at wide receiver.

Aiken, who caught four passes for 46 yards on six targets, was one of the Ravens' first bubble receivers to enter Thursday's preseason opener against the 49ers, CSN Baltimore reports.
According to the Ravens' official website, Aiken is competing with six other players for the No. 5 wide receiver role. He was the only one of the bunch to stand out during Thursday's game, but with the team's top four wide receivers seemingly locked in, Aiken is unlikely to have a significant role on offense this season. If the Ravens opt to carry a sixth wideout, they'll likely make the final roster decision with special teams in mind. That probably wouldn't bode well for Aiken, but it does sound like he's separating himself for the No. 5 role.
Mon Aug 26 201312:42Patriots waive five players Monday
Patriots waived or released WR Kamar Aiken, CB Brandon Jones, LB Niko Koutouvides, CB LeQuan Lewis and LS Mike Zupancic.
Aiken has made three career appearances, but caught zero passes. A nine-year veteran, Koutouvides appeared in 14 games as a special teamer last season, but played just nine snaps on defense. Lewis will look to latch on elsewhere as a special teamer.

Sat Jul 20 201318:52Kamar Aiken a roster long shot for Patriots
ESPN Boston gives WR Kamar Aiken a "20 percent" chance to make the Patriots' 53-man roster.
It's the same news source that said it would be a "mistake to overlook" Aiken's "potential to be a factor" in the Patriots' receiver competition last month. It's going to be awfully tough for Aiken to leapfrog the likes of Michael Jenkins, Lavelle Hawkins, Josh Boyce, and Aaron Dobson, barring injury.

Sun Jun 9 201309:58Aiken in the mix at receiver for Patriots?
ESPN Boston thinks it would be a "mistake to overlook" Kamar Aiken's "potential to be a factor" in the Patriots' receiver competition.
Aiken, originally signed by the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Central Florida in 2011, has appeared in three NFL games and has zero catches to his name. He does have an intriguing blend of size (6-foot-2, 213) and speed (4.45 forty), but we wouldn't expect him to be a serious candidate for snaps.

Sat Jul 14 201209:56Kamar Aiken to battle for roster spot?
BuffaloBills.com expects Kamar Aiken to push for the Bills' final receiver spot.
An undrafted free agent out of UCF last season, Aiken was active for two games, but spent the majority of the year on the practice squad. Aiken has good size at 6-foot-2, 213 pounds, but is going to face a very steep challenge cracking the Bills' crowded receiver corps. He's not on the dynasty-league radar.
