Tue Aug 6 201300:49Jets RB Joe McKnight arrested in New Jersey
The New York Post reports Jets RB Joe McKnight was arrested in New Jersey last week for outstanding warrants after police pulled him over for speeding and changing lanes without signaling.
McKnight was arrested on July 30, on a Jets day off from camp. Police found he had blown off a $200 ticket for failing to produce an insurance card, and another $120 fine for failing to observe a traffic signal. Apparently, McKnight obeys traffic law about as well as he plays running back. He suffered a concussion at Friday's practice, and has not participated in training camp since.

Mon Aug 5 201313:12Joe McKnight has 'apparent concussion'
Jets RB Joe McKnight is sidelined by an "apparent concussion" in camp.
McKnight might be more on the roster bubble were Chris Ivory healthy and Mike Goodson in camp. Instead, Ivory is injured and Goodson has yet to report, leaving Bilal Powell to work as the starter. McKnight could still wind up losing his roster spot, but for now he's hanging on and should make it to final cuts.

Thu May 16 201314:08Joe McKnight certain he'll make Jets roster
Jets RB/KR Joe McKnight is certain he'll make the final roster.
"They're going to have to kill me to take my spot," McKnight said. "So, whoever they bring in, I don't care. I'm just going to make it a point to prove I'm going to be here." McKnight is entering the final year of his rookie deal, and he says new OC Marty Mornhinweg has been working him in the slot, too. The 25-year-old has averaged 4.5 YPC on 112 career totes and isn't a legit offensive threat.

Mon May 6 201312:13Joe McKnight jazzed about 2013 prospects
Joe McKnight considers himself a legitimate contender for the Jets' starting running back job, and vows to be "a lot better" in 2013.
"I made that promise to myself," McKnight said. "If not, I'm going to die trying. I'm nowhere near close to where I want to go." McKnight also claims to have never had a single conversation with former OC Tony Sparano, but that he "loves" new OC Marty Mornhinweg. McKnight's fire is admirable, but he should remain a gadget player/special teamer this season.

Sun Dec 30 201218:00Joe McKnight finishes up 2012 season
Jets RB Joe McKnight rushed once for two yards in the team's Week 17 loss to Buffalo.
McKnight gained 179 yards on 30 carries (5.97 YPC) this season, but was curiously underutilized as a change-of-pace back behind plodders Shonn Greene and Bilal Powell. McKnight, also the Jets' primary kickoff returner, is still just 24 years old and due an affordable $575,000 in 2013. While he's almost certainly not the answer for the Jets' feature back woes, McKnight deserves a longer look in a complementary role from New York's next offensive staff.

Mon Dec 10 201215:03Joe McKnight suffered 3 migraine headaches
Jets RB Joe McKnight was inactive in Week 14 after suffering three migraine headaches.
Coach Rex Ryan said his original plan was to keep three quarterbacks active -- Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow, and Greg McElroy -- against the Jaguars, but the Jets were forced to deactivate McElroy and dress Kahlil Bell due to McKnight's migraines. McKnight has been thoroughly fantasy irrelevant this season.
