Mon Dec 10 201200:55Jermichael Finley has two-catch night
Jermichael Finley caught two passes for 16 yards in Green Bay's Week 14 win over the Lions.
Coming off three straight 50-yard performances, Finley drew only three targets on an evening where Aaron Rodgers was limited to 24 pass attempts. Finley is out of the doghouse, but has still cleared three catches just once since Week 4. He'll be a low-upside play for the final two weeks of the fantasy playoffs.

Sun Dec 2 201218:18Jermichael Finley totals 60 yards in Week 12
Jermichael Finley hauled in six passes for 60 yards versus the Vikings in Week 13.
His seven targets were second only to Greg Jennings' eight. Now healthy, Finley matched his second-highest output of the season and has cleared 50 yards in three consecutive games. With Jordy Nelson's hamstring ailing again, Finley has borderline TE1 appeal for Week 13 versus the Lions.

Fri Nov 30 201217:58Pack TEs coach hints at mental erros
Packers TEs coach Jerry Fontenot hints mental errors have been behind Jermichael Finley's recent slip in snaps and production.
"If you're in the right spot and getting where you need to be when you need to be there, you get opportunities," Fontenot said. "The other side of that is your production level will probably indicate how many opportunities there are. Overall, we're improving in all those areas. And the bottom line is let's help our team win football games." Finley has just 16 catches and one touchdown over his past seven games. His Green Bay future is looking bleak.

Mon Nov 26 201200:56Jermichael Finley has three-catch night
Jermichael Finley caught three passes for 51 yards in Green Bay's Week 12 loss to the Giants.
Finley's customary drop came with 4:49 remaining in the second quarter, but Aaron Rodgers went back to him one play later for his first catch of the night. Finley's second grab came on a fluky tipped ball that should have been intercepted. Although the Packers obviously don't have designs on phasing Finley completely out of the offense, his role is no longer that of a TE1 in fantasy leagues.

Tue Nov 20 201219:49Finley realizes he's no lock to return in '13
Jermichael Finley acknowledges that he's no lock to return to Green Bay under a $4.45 million salary and $3.5 million roster bonus due in March.
"I love that question man," Finley said. "I don't know. All I know is I have talent. And if Green Bay decides to do something with me, I'm 25 years old." Finley is frustrated that he's been dropped to the fourth option in the passing game. "I think (Randall) Cobb's taken my position from '09," said Finley. "I want to line up where Cobb's lining up because I know the ball's coming there." Backup D.J. Williams should be stashed in deeper Dynasty leagues.

Mon Nov 19 201211:45Rodgers, Finley have talked it out
Aaron Rodgers said he got with Jermichael Finley and "talked it out" during the Packers' bye week.
Finley awoke from the dead against the Lions, recording a 3/66/1 line. It was his first touchdown since Week 1 and his highest yardage total of the season. "It's big, man," Finley said. "It gets Aaron looking at me, for one. It slows my head down, for two. It's big for the team to get me and (No.) 12 on the same page for this last stretch going into the playoffs." Finley is a talented pass-catcher playing with arguably the league's best quarterback. There's certainly upside here.

Sun Nov 18 201219:43Finley totals 66 yards, TD in Week 11
Jermichael Finley caught three passes for 66 yards and a touchdown at Detroit in Week 11.
Finley was targeted just three times, but the takeaway from today's game is that he's finally over his shoulder injury. Aaron Rodgers eschewed a screen pass to James Starks and hit Finley over the middle for a 20-yard touchdown. The two then hooked up for a 40-yard catch-and-run to set up the game-winning score late in the fourth quarter. Finley is back on the TE1 radar entering Week 12 at the Giants.

Sun Nov 4 201217:49Finley managed one six-yard reception
Jermichael Finley managed one catch for six yards on two targets in the Packers' Week 9 win.
So much for Finley playing a bigger role against the Cardinals. He was targeted just twice, and Aaron Rodgers continues to largely ignore Finley in the passing game. Consider dropping Finley during Green Bay's Week 10 bye.

Fri Nov 2 201213:56Jermichael Finley listed as probable
Jermichael Finley (shoulder) is listed as probable for Week 9.
Finley hasn't seen more than six targets in any game since Week 2, but he's fully expected to play against Arizona. Based on recent production, Finley would be a roll of the dice, back-end TE1 in fantasy. His snaps are also way down.

Fri Nov 2 201211:13Finley's role expected to increase soon
Packers OC Tom Clements expects TE Jermichael Finley (shoulder) to have a bigger offensive role in the second half of the season.
Lining up out wide and in the slot less frequently, Finley has two fewer catches, 113 fewer yards and four fewer touchdowns while adding two more drops than at mid-season a year ago. He has also played just 65 percent of the snaps as opposed to 83 percent last season. "His injury set him back a little bit, but he's played through it," Clements said. "He's a force to be reckoned with and he's going to get his opportunities."

Thu Nov 1 201215:09Jermichael Finley limited again on Thursday
Jermichael Finley (shoulder) was limited again in Thursday's practice.
We'd like to see Finley participating fully before believing that his route tree will no longer be limited due to the injury. Rotoworld ranks Finley 13th among fantasy tight ends for Week 9.

Wed Oct 31 201219:01Jermichael Finley (shoulder) still limited
Jermichael Finley (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
Finley pronounced himself 100 percent following Sunday's win - saying he's "got my swag back" - but that apparently wasn't the truth. He may not be truly 100 percent until after the Packers' Week 10 bye. Finley will be a shaky TE1 option against the Cardinals.

Mon Oct 29 201202:09Packers TE Finley nearly 100 percent
Jermichael Finley (shoulder) came out of Sunday's game without a setback and pronounced himself nearly 100 percent.
"I've got my swag back; I've got my hands back," Finley said. "Everything's back. I don't have a say (in how many times he's thrown the ball). I'm in a great place. I'm happy. My head's right. I'm excited." Finley is optimistic that his role will increase now that he won't be limited to shorter routes going forward.

Sun Oct 28 201217:49Finley with another quiet game in Week 8
Jermichael Finley caught just two passes for 24 yards in Week 8 against the Jaguars.
Finley brought in just two of his five targets. Sunday had the setup of a game where Finley could break out for some big numbers with Jordy Nelson (hamstring) and Greg Jennings (groin) out, but it didn't come to fruition. The tight end is still battling a shoulder injury, so backups D.J. Williams and Tom Crabtree saw some action against the Jags. Finley won't be a TE1 until he's fully recovered.

Thu Oct 25 201218:32Finley limited again in Thursday's practice
Jermichael Finley (shoulder) was limited again in Thursday's practice.
Finley will play versus the Jaguars, but he expects the injury to limit him to shorter routes for one more week. With Jordy Nelson in danger of missing the game, Finley could reverse his trend of declining targets this week. He remains a shaky fantasy play until the shoulder is no longer an issue.

Thu Oct 25 201209:32Shoulder injury limiting Finley's route tree
Jermichael Finley (shoulder) expects to be limited once again in Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
Since sustaining his injury three games ago, Finley has played on just 46.1 percent of the offensive snaps. He says he was only at 50 percent prior to last week's game against the Rams. "I'm getting a lot of out routes where they're keeping me close to the (sideline) to protect it," Finley said. "After this game, if I don't get pounded, it should be right again." With just four catches, 31 yards and six targets in the last two weeks combined, Finley is a shaky TE1 play.

Wed Oct 24 201209:35Rodgers won't throw Finley under the bus
Aaron Rodgers blamed Jermichael Finley's shoulder injury and double teams for the tight end's poor statistical season.
Finley saw just two targets in Week 7, hasn't topped 60 yards all season and hasn't caught more than four balls in a game since Week 1. Rodgers still claims the chemistry is fine. "I think he understands that if he's one-on-one that's usually where I'm going to look first but because of the respect of his talent teams usually pay a little more attention to him," Rodgers said. Finley's raw talent is unquestioned. It's his lack of on-field production that makes him hard to trust as a TE1 right now.

Sun Oct 21 201217:03Jermichael Finley held to two catches
Jermichael Finley caught two passes for 31 yards in Green Bay's Week 7 win over the Rams.
Finley surprisingly went without a drop, but it was due in large part to the fact that he was targeted only two times. Finley has now drawn just six looks over his past two games. It's possible he'll eventually find his way back into Aaron Rodgers' good graces, but Finley can't be trusted as a weekly TE1 for the time being.
