Fri Oct 19 2012 | 13:46 | Jermichael Finley listed as probable |
Jermichael Finley (shoulder) is listed as probable for Week 7. |
The probable tag means Finley is "virtually certain" to be available for his normal role against the Rams. He continues to produce like a TE2 in fantasy. |

Thu Oct 18 2012 | 14:25 | Finley limited again in Thursday's practice |
Jermichael Finley (shoulder) was limited again in Thursday's practice. |
Coach Mike McCarthy commended Finley for suiting up last week when the training staff thought for sure he would miss the game. "We're trying to be smart with him," added McCarthy, "but Jermichael is champing at the bit to get out there." Finley is just a borderline fantasy play until he's over the obviously painful shoulder injury. |

Jermichael Finley (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice. |
Finley avoided setbacks in Sunday's win, so the Packers are just managing his reps. Despite another shaky performance, Finley remains a TE1 for Week 7 with six teams on bye. |

Mon Oct 15 2012 | 08:41 | Jermichael Finley plays just 24 snaps |
Jermichael Finley played on just 24-of-73 offensive snaps in the Packers' Week 6 win over the Texans. |
Finley's snaps were limited after a shoulder injury caused him to barely practice all week. He finished with two catches for 12 yards on four targets, but did have a sideline grab called back by penalty and was targeted in the end zone on a seam route. The bottom line is that Finley continues to be unproductive. Through six games, he's averaging just 4.0 catches for 35.0 yards and has scored one touchdown. |

Mon Oct 15 2012 | 00:03 | Jermichael Finley held to two catches |
Jermichael Finley caught two passes for 12 yards in Green Bay's Week 6 rout of the Texans. |
Playing through a shoulder injury, Finley's customary, mind-numbing drop came early in the third quarter, where he cost the Packers a chance to halve a 2nd-and-20. He was targeted in the end zone by Aaron Rodgers a few plays later, but the ball was out of reach. He drew just four looks. Although Finley deserves some slack for playing hurt this evening, it's clear he's nowhere near over the dropping issues that marred his 2011. He's becoming a shakier TE1 by the week, but with six teams on bye in Week 7, he'll remain a must start. |

Sun Oct 14 2012 | 19:02 | Finley suiting up for Sunday Night Football |
Jermichael Finley (shoulder) is active for Week 6 against the Texans. |
B.J. Raji (ankle) is inactive, as is Greg Jennings. Finley got in just one limited practice during the week, but it's doubtful he'd be active if the Packers weren't planning to use him for close to his usual complement of snaps. He's Rotoworld's No. 18 tight end for Week 6. Also inactive for the Packers are S Sean Richardson, CB Davon House, LB Terrell Manning, G Greg Van Roten and TE D.J. Williams |

Sun Oct 14 2012 | 17:39 | Report: Finley expects to play Sunday night |
Jermichael Finley (shoulder) still expects to play in Sunday night's game against the Texans, a source tells the Journal-Sentinel. |
Finley officially remains a game-time call, but he appears on track to gut it out. It's still a risky spot for owners as Finley has struggled with drops and inconsistency all year while failing to top 60 yards in a single game. He also has no touchdowns. Finley's backup, D.J. Williams (hamstring) is a game-time call as well. The Packers' inactive list will be released around 7:30 p.m. ET. |

Fri Oct 12 2012 | 13:24 | Packers' Finley limited, listed questionable |
Jermichael Finley (shoulder) was limited in Packers practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Week 6. |
He'll apparently be a game-time decision Sunday night against the Texans. Finley has been a drop-prone headcase again this season, recently complaining about his "chemistry" with Aaron Rodgers for the second straight year, only a few weeks after his agent publicly questioned Rodgers' leadership skills. This will likely be Finley's last season in Green Bay. He's due a $3.5 million roster bonus next March. |

Fri Oct 12 2012 | 08:53 | Finley: Lack of chemistry with Rodgers |
Jermichael Finley blames his recent struggles on a lack of chemistry with Aaron Rodgers. |
"Not good enough at all," said Finley. "Something to be worked on, and try to work on it as much as I can, try to talk to him as much as I can, but like I said, it takes two people." It's the second time since the end of last season that Finley has raised the chemistry issue with Rodgers. He might gain his QB's confidence if he quits dropping passes. Nursing a shoulder injury, Finley is expected to be a game-time decision versus the Texans. |

Wed Oct 10 2012 | 13:13 | Jermichael Finley doesn't practice Wednesday |
Jermichael Finley (shoulder) was held out of Wednesday's practice. |
Finley expects to play against the Texans, but coach Mike McCarthy has only said "there's a chance" he suits up. Even if the missed practice is just a precaution, Finley's week is not off to a good start. We ultimately expect Finley to take the field, but it's a situation to monitor closely the next two days. It's possible Finley will end up a dreaded game-time decision for Sunday Night Football. |

Mon Oct 8 2012 | 16:36 | Coach: Finley 'has a chance' to play Sunday |
Packers coach Mike McCarthy says Jermichael Finley (shoulder) "has a chance" of playing in Week 6. |
Finley said he'd suit up against the Texans "for sure," but his coach is predictably being more guarded in his assessment. Finley didn't appear to dealing with a serious injury on the sideline Sunday, but that's a poor indicator of severity. His status will be updated no later than Wednesday. |

Sun Oct 7 2012 | 17:35 | Jermichael Finley brushes off shoulder injury |
Jermichael Finley downplayed his shoulder injury following the Packers' Week 5 loss to the Colts. |
Finley left in the second half and did not return. But in the locker room afterward, he claimed he was fine. "I know if I'm hurt or not," Finley said. "Just didn't want to risk it going in again and reinjuring it. I'll be back in Houston for sure." Players are often overly optimistic immediately following injuries, so this will still be a situation to monitor. |

Sun Oct 7 2012 | 15:20 | Jermichael Finley suffers shoulder injury |
Jermichael Finley was forced from Sunday's game against the Colts with a shoulder injury, and is questionable to return. |
Finley didn't appear to be dealing with more than a stinger, so it's possible he'll return. If his day is through, he'll finish with just three catches for 11 yards. Finley was targeted two other times, but committed an easy drop on third down near the end of the first half. It's been a costly day for the Packers, who have already lost Cedric Benson and NT B.J. Raji. |

Sat Sep 29 2012 | 14:01 | Finley's long-term Green Bay future in doubt |
According to Pro Football Weekly, Jermichael Finley's long-term future in Green Bay is "not looking good at all." |
The Packers want to see Finley start producing at the Jimmy Graham and Rob Gronkowski level before they shell out big money. Finley just signed a two-year, $14 million contract in February, but with a $4.45 million roster bonus due on the 15th day of the 2013 league year, the Packers could choose to cut ties early. Finley has all of the ability in the world, but he hasn't done it on a consistent basis. Green Bay has talented back-ups in Andrew Quarless and D.J. Williams. Finley has 15 catches for 133 yards and a touchdown through the season's first three weeks. |

Tue Sep 25 2012 | 01:04 | Finley leads Packers with 60 yards on MNF |
Jermichael Finley caught four passes for 60 yards in Week 3 against the Seahawks. |
Finley was targeted six times on the night and put up his highest yardage mark of the young season. He drew a phantom pass interference call against Kam Chancellor to keep the team's lone touchdown drive alive in the fourth quarter. We're still waiting for Finley to show his TE1 numbers, but don't get down on him just yet. He still has tremendous upside in a pass-heavy offense. Look for a good Week 4 from the Packers' attack against the Saints. |

Mon Sep 17 2012 | 11:45 | Packers still confident in Finley |
Packers OC Tom Clements said Jermichael Finley is "still an integral part of the offense." |
Finley has flashed his puzzling inconsistency already this season with two bad drops and a fumble. He's averaging just 6.6 yards per catch through two games. "He's a talented guy, and we're confident in him," Clements said. Finley still oozes upside as a vertical pass-catcher in one of the league's best passing offenses. |

Fri Sep 14 2012 | 00:23 | Jermichael Finley held to 26 yards in Week 2 |
Jermichael Finley caught four passes for just 26 yards versus the Bears in Week 2. |
Finley joined Jordy Nelson and James Jones in letting an Aaron Rogers pass glance off his finger tips early. Reeling in a third-down pass at the sticks, Finley had the ball punched out by Charles Tillman (for the third time in three years) for a lost fumble. His next catch drew a sarcastic cheer from the home crowd. Finley has 11 receptions for 73 yards and a score heading into Week 3 at Seattle. |
