Jennings went nuts tonight after just missing a triple-double on Friday, when he also had eight turnovers. He's rolling right now and should be an automatic starter in all leagues, averaging 24.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 8.4 assists, 1.6 steals and 3.4 3-pointers over his last five games, along with a respectable 3.4 turnovers, despite Friday's massive total.

Brandon Jennings nearly triple-doubled in the Pistons' 111-95 blowout win against the Nets, and he almost quadruple-doubled with turnovers (eight) as he posted 26 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and one steal.

Jennings was good for two 3-pointers and when we say gas we mean it, as he knocked in 30 points on Wednesday and continues to be one of the league's worst offenders in destroying field goal percentage.

There are slumps, then there's the month Jennings was having before tonight's game. In his previous eight games this month, he shot a pathetic 25.5 percent from the field on 12.8 shots, which dropped him to a career-low 36.9 percent on the season. Jennings really didn't do much different and his shot was just falling. He wasn't going to shoot below 37 percent all season, but he'll continue to be one of the worst players in that category all year.

He's down to just 36.9 percent on the season and his value can't get much lower than it is right now.

Well, it doesn't look like his 2014 resolution was to raise his field goal percentage. Jennings shot just 26.8 percent from the field in his previous six games this calendar year and he ranks last in that department on the season among qualifiers. Outside of that horrific issue, Jennings is filling it up in points assists, steals and treys this season.

This was not one of his better lines given the poor shooting, but it was miles better than his previous two games, when he hit 4-of-26 shots and scored a total of nine points. His shooting slump should be about ready to end and he'll again be a top point guard option once it happens.

Jennings is mired in a shooting slump vortex, hitting just 20-of-71 shots over his last five games, good for 28 percent. That is as bad as it gets, and he's just 4-of-26 over his last two. His shot will come back, so if you need a dynamic point guard, now is a great time to try to buy low on Jennings.

Brandon Jennings had a rough afternoon against the Grizzlies on Sunday, shooting 2-of-14 from the field for four points with two boards, 11 assists and two steals.

The Pistons were embarrassed in this one at home and were outscored 61-28 in the second half. Jennings is in one of his patented slumps over his past three, shooting 25.5 percent from the field, but at least he's averaged 10.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.3 triples in that span. His field goal shooting is down to just 38.7 percent on the year.

Brandon Jennings fell just shy of a triple-double vs. Portland, scoring 15 points with eight rebounds and 10 assists in 45 minutes during a disappointing overtime defeat.

The Pistons are treading water with an 11-14 record, but they're not feeling too much heat as the fifth seed in the dismal Eastern Conference playoff picture. Jennings' intention to be more judicious with his shot selection hasn't happened, as he's shooting 39.7 percent on 15.6 attempts per game, but he's also notching career-highs with 3.4 boards, 7.6 dimes and 1.7 steals. As his nine-cat owners know all too well, he's also coughing up a career-worst 3.6 turnovers per game.

He had four more turnovers, but owners have to be loving everything about his game right now. He's crushing with 22.8 points, 6.6 assists, 2.8 steals and 2.8 3-pointers over his last five games, but the 5.0 turnovers are a bit of a buzzkill in leagues that count them.

However, owners in turnover leagues need to take note that he's also averaging a whopping 5.6 TOs over that stretch, which isn't much of a surprise, and he had six of them tonight.

Brandon Jennings poured in a season-high 33 points vs. the short-handed Bulls on Saturday, leading the Pistons to their fourth consecutive victory.

Jennings sank 12-of-22 FGs, including five 3-pointers, and he was 4-of-4 at the FT line. He also had five assists and two steals but the needle swung sharply from 'distributor' toward 'scorer' tonight. That's fine as long as his shot is falling (he's an impressive 12-of-25 from downtown during the win streak) but Jennings' career 39.4 percent FG mark suggests that a correction is imminent. Enjoy the lofty scoring while it lasts.
