(AP) — Aaron Judge went from being a late scratch to hitting a tiebreaking single in a two-run 10th inning to help the New York Yankees beat the Tampa Bay Rays for the second straight day, 3-1 on Wednesday night. Judge was taken out of the lineup about 30 minutes before the scheduled first pitch. Minnesota Twins outfielder Brent Rooker went 2-for-4 with a home run in a 17-14 loss to the Tigers Wednesday. Rooker clubbed a tape-measure shot, sending a ball 436 feet into the outfield seats at 110.1 MPH. The 26-year-old now has a hit in five straight games, with three homers during that stretch. Since being called up, he's made six consecutive starts for the Twins, carrying over his recent strong performances from the Triple-A level. Rooker is worth a look in deeper or AL-only formats for those in need of outfield help, as he has the potential to be a four-category contributor occupying a heart-of-the-order spot for Minnesota.
