Wed Apr 9 201411:40Terrence Jones (leg) expected to play Wed.
Rockets coach Kevin McHale wasn't concerned about Terrence Jones (leg cramps) after Tuesday's game.
Jones crushed the Lakers, scoring 33 points on 13-of-18 shooting before leaving the game for good due to injury. "Terrence just got cramps," McHale said. "It was nothing more than just cramps." The Rockets have a quick turnaround vs. the Nuggets in Denver on Wednesday, but all signs point to Jones starting at PF as usual.

Wed Apr 9 201400:37Terrence Jones leaves with left leg injury
Terrence Jones went off for 33 points and seven rebounds before pulling up with apparent cramps in his left leg on Tuesday night.
He went to the bench and is being attended to, and with the Rockets up by 24 late in the third quarter, it would be surprising to see him return to the game. He was on his way to a new career high of 37 points, so there's an outside shot he could return if the Lakers close the gap. However, that appears to be a real long shot at this point.

Terrence Jones left Wednesday's game against the Raptors early due to his lingering illness.
One night after sitting out completely, Jones lasts just 10 minutes. He looks really sluggish, going 0-of-4 from the field with three rebounds and one turnover. Donatas Motiejunas is starting the second half.

Wed Apr 2 201419:11Update: Terrence Jones will start vs. Raptors
Updating a previous item, Terrence Jones is starting against the Raptors on Wednesday.
Donatas Motiejunas was announced as the starter, so coach Kevin McHale may have changed his mind at the last instant. Jones has been very effective in games without Dwight Howard, so he becomes an interesting player to watch tonight now that he's back with the starters.

Wed Apr 2 201417:36Terrence Jones feeling better, probable Wed.
Coach Kevin McHale said Terrence Jones (illness) is "hopeful" to play against the Raptors on Wednesday night.
He is reportedly feeling better, but he's not a lock to play just yet. Jones missed Tuesday's game due to flu-like symptoms and he could be limited a bit tonight. Donatas Motiejunas would likely start, but he's a risky play after a quiet Tuesday.

Tue Apr 1 201419:48Update: Terrence Jones (flu) out on Tuesday
Updating a previous report, Terrence Jones (flu) will not play on Tuesday and Donatas Motiejunas will take his spot at PF.
Motie and Omer Asik will form a makeshift frontcourt for the Rockets, who will likely turn to Omri Casspi and small lineups out of necessity.

Tue Apr 1 201418:46Terrence Jones (flu) to play 'a bit' Tuesday
Terrence Jones (flu) is expected to play "a little bit" on Tuesday.
Jones told coach Kevin McHale, "I'll give you what I've got." With Dwight Howard (ankle) already sidelined it sounds like the Rockets will have to lean heavily on Omer Asik and Donatas Motiejunas, while turning more than usual to small lineups.

Tue Apr 1 201412:31Terrence Jones game-time for Tuesday vs Nets
Terrence Jones (flu-like symptoms) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's game against the Nets.
Jones has an opportunity to do some damage with Dwight Howard out Tuesday night, but his health may not cooperate. We'll update Jones' status as we get closer to tip off, but owners who are playing daily leagues should be prepared to plug in Omri Casspi and Donatas Motiejunas as value options if Jones sits.

Mon Mar 31 201413:06Terrence Jones (illness) doesn't practice
Terrence Jones sat out Monday's practice due to illness.
The Rockets begin their four-game week in Brooklyn on Tuesday and we should get a better sense of Jones' status after shootaround. If he can't suit up, Donatas Motiejunas and Omri Casspi should each assume bigger roles in the Rockets' weakened frontcourt.

Sat Mar 29 201423:30Terrence Jones finally slows down on Sat.
Terrence Jones cooled off on Saturday with two points, five boards and four fouls in 19 minutes vs. the Clippers
Before Blake Griffin (back) went down, he put Jones in foul trouble and it knocked him out of his rhythm. He's been dynamite this month with averages of 13.9 points, 6.8 boards, 1.3 blocks, 0.9 steals and 0.6 triples. Jones has second-round value over the past two weeks.Q

Thu Mar 27 201422:35Terrence Jones drops 20 points in full line
Terrence Jones kept the ball rolling on Thursday during a win over the 76ers with 20 points, seven boards, four steals and two blocks in 30 minutes.
He's at the top of his game. Over his last five games, Jones averaged 18.4 points, 6.2 boards, 1.8 assists, 2.2 blocks, 1.0 steals and 0.8 triples on 61.0 percent from the field. Jones should be able to keep it up the rest of the way even though he might have a couple bumps in the road.

Mon Mar 24 201422:29Terrence Jones keeps it going on Monday
Terrence Jones looked terrific against the Bobcats on Monday with 18 points, seven boards and one turnover on 9-of-15 from the field.
He started hot and kept it up for much of the game. Jones has seen his minutes cut in games which he struggles out of the gate, but there haven't been too many of those lately. In March he posted averages of 13.0 points, 6.7 boards, 1.3 assists, 1.4 blocks, 0.7 steals and 0.7 treys in his previous 12 games. He's a must-own player.

Sat Mar 22 201422:38Terrence Jones turns it on in second half
Terrence Jones turned in a strong second half against the Cavs on Saturday, finishing with 14 points, five boards, two assists, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.
He did not score in the first half due to foul trouble and was the secondary option in the second half behind James Harden. Jones' extra opportunity to be a scorer while Dwight Howard (ankle) has been out and it may help him more than hurt him once the big man comes back. He's worth owning in standard leagues.

Thu Mar 20 201423:30Terrence Jones scores just 10, blocks three
Terrence Jones cooled off on the offensive side of the ball against the Wolves with 10 points in 23 minutes on Thursday, adding seven boards, four assists and three blocks.
He lit up the Jazz on Monday with a 30-point game, but tonight's line wasn't a huge disappointment thanks to the blocks, boards and dimes. Jones has vastly improved in space this season and his playing time should be safe despite some nice efforts from Donatas Motiejunas and Omer Asik tonight.

Mon Mar 17 201423:19No D-12, no problem: Terrence Jones scores 30
Terrence Jones turned in a dominant performance against the Jazz on Monday, making 11-of-15 from the field for 30 points with five boards, one assist, four blocks, one steal and three 3-pointers in 38 minutes.
The Rockets allowed him to created from away from the rim and he scored a lot of buckets off the dribble. Jones has basically been a 8-feet-and-in guy on offense, but tonight was another story against one of the league's worst defenses. His three treys were a career high and this was his second-best scoring effort of his career. His massive upside makes him a must-own player.

Thu Mar 13 201422:06Terrence Jones has a tough night vs. Chicago
Terrence Jones shot 1-of-7 from the field for two points vs. the Bulls on Thursday with nine boards, one assist and two steals in 20 minutes.
He missed all five of his shots in the paint and never really got any sort of space on offense. Jones has his fair share of duds since February and coach Kevin McHale hasn't been bashful about benching him late in games when he's cold. His fantasy owners should stick with him.

Tue Mar 11 201423:40Terrence Jones quiet in loss to Thunder
Terrence Jones had eight points, three rebounds, a steal and two blocks in just 21 minutes of Tuesday's loss to the Thunder.
We were being cursed by owners who dropped Jones a couple weeks ago, after we wrote him off, but after a few nice games he's back to his old tricks. Jones had two points and four rebounds in 20 minutes on Sunday, and is now averaging just 5.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 0.7 blocks over his last three games. The problem is minutes, as he's played 24 or less in each of those games, which is precisely why we gave up on him. Maybe Kevin McHale will free TJ at some point, but he'll need a lot more minutes than he's getting in order to produce.
