Monroe (knee) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Raptors, Pistons broadcaster Mark Champion reports.

With Monroe missing a fifth consecutive game, Anthony Tolliver figures to get another start, while Andre Drummond, Joel Anthony and even Jodie Meeks stand to potentially benefit from some added minutes. Thus far, the primary beneficiaries of Monroe's absence have unsurprisingly been Drummond and Reggie Jackson.

Monroe (knee) could return to the court Tuesday versus the Raptors, the Pistons' official site reports.

Prior to Saturday's game against the Bulls, coach Stan Van Gundy stated his hope that Monroe will be available at some point this coming week. After Tuesday's game, his next chances to take the court arrive Friday in Orlando and Sunday at Miami. Nevertheless, he'll miss the Pistons' back-to-back set Saturday against the Bulls and Sunday at Boston.

Although Monroe traveled with the team to Philadelphia, Monroe will miss his second game in a row due to a strained knee. If he sits through the weekend, his next chance to take the floor arrives Tuesday against the Raptors. Nevertheless, Anthony Tolliver will enter the starting five Wednesday.

Monroe sat out Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies, and despite traveling with the team to Philadelphia, he'll be held out for the second consecutive night. Anthony Tolliver, who played 32 minutes and hit four three-pointers Tuesday, is expected to make another start.

Monroe (knee) traveled with the team to Philadelphia for Wednesday's game, but the Pistons have not announced whether or not he will play, Keith Langlois of Pistons.com reports.

Monroe sprained his knee during practice Monday and did not play in Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies. It was just his second career missed game due to injury. Tuesday evening, the Pistons reported that Monroe would likely return to action Wednesday, so his status is something to monitor in advance of tip-off in Philadelphia.

This is great news for fantasy players. A one-game absence is manageable. Not knowing whether a player is going to be available going forward is stressful. Anthony Tolliver is making a spot start in Monroe's place Tuesday. Monroe underwent an MRI that alleviated many of the concerns the Pistons had regarding the severity of his strained knee, and it seems his absence is merely precautionary at this point.

Monroe suffered a strained knee during Monday's practice, and he'll be held out Tuesday. With the Pistons hitting the road for a one-game road trip (Wednesday @PHI), it's possible Monroe could be held out for another game, though the team is yet to say as much.

Monroe scored 16 points (7-15 FG, 2-3 FT) with 13 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in the loss to the Jazz on Saturday.

Monroe may forced to to carry the scoring and rebounding load if Andre Drummond ends of up missing extended time due to the concussion he suffered on Saturday. Monroe's rebounding numbers have fallen off a bit over the past week, but is a good bet to maintain his double-double average with upside minus Drummond. He's a must start in all formats.

Monroe finished with 20 points (7-18 FG, 6-6 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocked shots in 32 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Warriors.

Monroe was able to hit the 20-point mark for the second night in a row, after scoring 24 points against the Lakers Tuesday. While the Pistons have increased their losing streak to seven games in a row, Monroe has been one of the few bright spots, as he's averaging 20.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.1 blocks over his last seven games.

Monroe score 24 points (10-14 FG, 4-8 FT) to go with nine rebounds in Tuesday's loss to the Lakers.

Monroe was one of only a few Pistons to have a productive night, and he's now strung together a number of impressive performances. He's averaging 18.5 points and 10.8 rebounds while shooting 57 percent from the field over the last four games.

Monroe scored 28 points (9-13 FG, 10-15 FT), and added 13 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks in 44 minutes against the Knicks Friday.

While Monroe's stat line clearly benefited from the two overtime periods, there may be other important trends at play. Monroe has posted three straight double-doubles since the trade deadline shook up the Pistons' roster and brought in Reggie Jackson. Monroe saw a huge boost in performance the last time the Pistons shook things up, then by releasing Josh Smith, and it is possible that these moves may could also have some impact on his performance. Alternatively, however, this could just be a hot streak with some coincidental timing.

Monroe had 12 points (4-13 FG, 4-4 FT) and 14 rebounds in the loss to Cleveland on Tuesday.

Monroe has posted back-to-back double-doubles and has four double-doubles in his last seven games. He has only shot 10-of-29 (34.4 percent) in his last two games. Monroe has continued to play big minutes and contribute to fantasy teams in points and rebounds.

Monroe will not be traded before the Feb. 19 trade deadline, Bob Wojnowski of The Detroit News reports. "It's not gonna happen," Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy said Wednesday. "I don't know where Greg's head will be in the offseason, but we're still hopeful of Greg Monroe for the long term. And with him going into free agency, you won't get a lot, maybe a pick. I'm not gonna walk in that locker room and give up a piece like that and then tell the guys we're trying to make the playoffs. They deserve the chance to ride this out. You never say never to anything, but I can tell you about 99.9 percent, Greg Monroe's not going anywhere."

With the word of Van Gundy, Monroe is locked in as a primary piece for the Pistons this season and the foreseeable future. Monroe will remain a must-start player for the rest of the season as long as he stay healthy.

Monroe scored 21 points (7-13 FG, 7-9 FT) and added 21 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks in 36 minutes against the Nuggets Friday.

Monroe has had some giant games like this before, including a 16 point, 20 rebound outing nearly one month earlier, but this ranks as one of his best games ever.

Monroe scored 16 points (7-15 FG, 2-4 FT) with nine rebounds and three steals in 36 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Pacers.

He's been on a serious roll lately, averaging 16.5 points and 12.8 boards over his last 10 games while shooting 51.5% from the floor. The Brandon Jennings injury puts the Pistons' playoff chances in question, and with Monroe on an expiring contract he could be a huge trade chip for the club at the deadline.

Monroe scored 20 points (8-15 FG, 4-5 FT) with 11 rebounds and a steal in 33 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the 76ers.

That's seven straight games with double-digit boards for Monroe, a stretch during which he's averaging 16.9 points and 14.0 rebounds. While the team around him has struggled since Brandon Jennings went down for the season, so far Monroe's production hasn't been affected.

Monroe recorded another double-double in Tuesday's loss to the Cavaliers, finishing with 17 points (7-15 FG, 3-3 FT) and 12 rebounds in 31 minutes.

Monroe has recorded two straight double-doubles, combining for 38 points and 28 rebounds during that span. He's also had a least 10 rebounds in 13 out of his last 15 games, so he should continue to be a rebounding machine moving forward. Monroe is a must play in most formats and will continue to be relied upon for points and rebounds, especially with Brandon Jennings out for the season.

Monroe double-doubled on Sunday scoring 21 points (9-17 FG, 3-5 FT), with 16 rebounds, and four assists in 35 minutes on Sunday.

Monroe is averaging a double-double in the month of January, with 16.5 points and 12.9 rebounds. The team's been on a roll since his improved play and they may even rely on him more after losing one of their primary scorers in Brandon Jennings.

Monroe provided eight points (3-7 FG, 2-2 FT) with 16 rebounds in 29 minutes in the loss to the Bucks on Saturday.

Monroe has been controlling the boards of late with 14.8 rebounds per game in his last four contests. He did not get many offensive opportunities against Milwaukee, but should be good for a double-double Sunday against the Raptors.

Monroe finished with 24 points (11-16 FG, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and a blocked shot in Wednesday's win over the Orlando Magic.

Monroe has now posted three impressive double-doubles in a row, averaging 17.3 points and 14.3 rebounds over that span. He can be counted on as a double-double machine, as he's now averaging 15.1 points and 10.0 rebounds per game on the season. He only played 25 minutes in this game, but was still very productive and should get closer to 30 minutes on a nightly basis, so don't read too much into the lower minutes total.
