Monroe provided 16 points (5-11 FG, 6-6 FT) with a season-high 20 rebounds in 34 minutes in the loss ot Atlanta on Monday.
While Brandon Jennings seems to be the prime beneficiary of the post-Josh Smith Pistons, Monroe has taken off as well. In his last five games, he has averaged 15.4 points, 11.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists and has at least one steal and one block in each game. Monroe is helping fantasy teams across the board.

Not one Pistons player played more than 29 minutes in this one as the game was over at half time. Monroe is thriving in his starters role averaging 17.6 points, 12.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.3 blocks and 1.1 steals through January.

Monroe scored 22 points (9-16 FG, 4-7 FT) with 10 rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block in 33 minutes during Monday's win over the Raptors.
Monroe continues to roll along, and with the Pistons suddenly looking like they could make some noise in the Eastern Conference playoffs, the pending free agent's chances of being traded would appear to be shrinking. Expect him to remain a nightly double-double threat going forward.

Monroe scored a game-high 27 points (11-16 FG, 5-5 FT) to go with 18 rebounds, six assists, and one block in 34 minutes Wednesday.
In the seven games since Josh Smith was hit with an obliviate spell by Stan Van Gundy, Monroe has started at power forward and averaged 15.4 points, 11.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.3 steals in 28 minutes per game. He's also shot 51 percent from the field and 73 percent from the field in that time. Monroe is must-own player in virtually all formats, and if he gets more minutes going forward, his value could improve even further.

Monroe double-doubled in Tuesday's win over the Spurs, finishing with 17 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists and two steals in 27 minutes.
Monroe is starting to gain some traction as a member of the starting lineup. He's now recorded three straight double-doubles, averaging 14.3 points and 10.7 rebounds over his last three games. Monroe will continue to see plenty of minutes with Josh Smith out of the picture, so we'll see if he can continue his recent production against a tough Dallas Mavericks team Wednesday.

Monroe scored nine points with nine rebounds in 21 minutes in Tuesday's blowout win against the Magic.
Monroe has been up and down in the three games since he moved into the Pistons' starting lineup in the wake of Josh Smith's release, though Tuesday's low minutes were likely the result of the lopsided nature of the game. With the Pistons' thin front court, Monroe should see all the minutes he can handle going forward, which could translate into big production as Monroe enters restricted free agency this offseason.

Monroe moved into the starting lineup against the Pacers Friday, replacing the waived Josh Smith. Monroe scored 19 points (7-11 FG, 5-8 FT) and added 15 rebounds, one assist, three steals, and a block in 31 minutes.
Monroe had struggled somewhat coming off the bench in the Pistons' crowded frontcourt. Smith was released Monday, creating a major opportunity for Monroe, who seized it Friday. Monroe's value is much higher now than it was just one week ago.

Monroe scored 17 points (7-13 FG, 3-4 FT) with seven rebounds and a steal in 26 minutes off the bench Friday.
He's slowly adjusting to life off the bench, averaging 15.8 points and 8.0 boards over his last 10 games, but Monroe isn't seeing enough minutes to pull down the consistent double-doubles he was producing at the beginning of the season.

Monroe came off the bench again on Sunday in an uninspiring game that resulted in a loss. He closed the night out with 12 points (3-7 FG, 6-9 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, and four turnovers in 24 minutes.
This is now the sixth game the Pistons have played since moving Monroe to the bench and things have not gotten better for the Georgetown product. For the most part he's had a hard time scoring, with his best game coming against Boston's depleted front court. Additionally, the Pistons have lost every game during that span, so don't be surprised if the team doesn't end the year with this as their final rotation.

Monroe will come off the bench against the Celtics on Wednesday.
Monroe will relinquish his starting spot, opening the door for Kyle Singler to get the nod at small forward. This is already the second time this week coach Stan Van Gundy has used this starting lineup, but it remains unclear whether the switch will be permanent.

Monroe responded after being moved to a bench role by coach Stan Van Gundy. He finished with 13 points (5-12 FG, 3-7 FT), 10 rebounds, and one block in 31 minutes on Sunday.
Monroe was coming off a pair of forgettable performances that likely provoked his demotion. He still played over 30 minutes and if he continues to have nights like this he won't be at risk for any decline in value. Check before the Pistons take court Tuesday against the Lakers, as this move may not be permanent and Monroe may earn his starting role back.
Sun Nov 30 201415:29Monroe will come off bench against Warriors on Sunday
Monroe will come off the bench against the Warriors on Sunday, Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Monroe will come off the bench for the second time this season, as coach Stan Van Gundy will shuffle the lineup with the Pistons riding a seven-game losing streak. Kyle Singler gets the nod at small forward, pushing Josh Smith to power forward, while Andre Drummond remains at center. Van Gundy has not stated whether the move will be permanent, and that will likely be determined by how well Detroit starts against the Warriors on Sunday.

Monroe scored 18 points (7-17 FG, 4-5 FT) with 12 rebounds, three assists and a steal in 34 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Suns.
It's his sixth double-double of the season. The Pistons' three-big lineup hasn't done Andre Drummond or Josh Smith any favors so far this season, but Monroe has been thriving.

Monroe had 16 points (8-13 FG, 0-2 FT) with 11 rebounds in 32 minutes in the Saturday loss to Memphis.
Monroe has been playing well with 16.6 points on 50 percent from the field with 10.0 rebounds in his last five games. The Pistons have only won one of those games, so coach Stan Van Gundy may need to tinker around Monroe.

Monroe scored 18 points (6-13 FG, 6-7 FT) with nine rebounds, three assists and a block in 33 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Wizards.
While his front court-mates Josh Smith and Andre Drummond battled foul trouble that limited their court time, Monroe amazingly went the entire game without picking up a single foul. He remains the most reliable big man on the Pistons' roster at the moment.

Monroe scored 16 points (8-15 FG) with 10 rebounds and two assists in 36 minutes during Monday's loss to the Bulls.
He's now racked up a double-double in four of five games since missing the beginning of the season due to a suspension. In fact, of the Pistons' big three front court players, Monroe's been by far the most consistent so far. Coach Stan Van Gundy may have a hard time taking him out of the starting five if he decides to go back to a smaller lineup.

Monroe started for the third night in a row and came up with 19 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 32 minutes.
Since returning from suspension Monroe has earned a double-double in all but one game he's played. He's also averaging over 10 minutes in his four outings, which leads to more opportunities for the forward to produce. His inability to block effectively leaves a lot to be desired, but he makes up for it in the steals totals he puts up.

Monroe finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists in Friday's win over Milwaukee.
The Pistons have rolled out their "big" starting lineup with Monroe at power forward and Josh Smith at the three for the second consecutive game. The team has won both games, so odds are Monroe will continue to get looks as part of the starting five. Monroe will have a tough time keeping up the career-best pace (17.0 points, 12.0 rebounds) he has established through his first three appearances this season, but he'll remain a solid option even after the inevitable regression hits.

Monroe scored 23 points (8-17 FG, 7-8 FT) with 18 rebounds and three assists in 36 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Knicks.
That's two straight double-doubles for Monroe after he missed the beginning of the season due to a suspension. Coach Stan Van Gundy may not go with a three-big lineup every night, but Monroe seems intent on making it tough for him to return the big man to the bench.
Wed Nov 5 201417:59Monroe will start in Wednesday's game against Knicks
Monroe will start in Wednesday's game against the Knicks, The Wall Street Journal reports.
Monroe will join Detroit's starting lineup at power forward, moving Josh Smith to small forward, as the Pistons opt to go big against a less-than-imposing Knicks frontcourt. With a sound performance, the versatile Monroe could stake his claim for more starts moving forward, potentially allowing coach Stan Van Gundy to play Monroe, Smith and emerging center Andre Drummond together more often.
