Sun Nov 27 201117:52Tashard Choice loses 8 yards in Bills debut
Bills RB Tashard Choice carried twice for a net loss of eight yards in Week 12.
Choice's carries went for -5 and -3 yards. Johnny White and C.J. Spiller are both better running backs than Choice, so don't expect an impact here down the stretch. Choice is not worth owning in 12-team fantasy leagues.

Sun Nov 27 201108:18Tashard Choice to see playing time Sunday
According to Chris Brown of BuffaloBills.com, Tashard Choice is expected to be active and see playing time in Sunday's game against the Jets.
Choice only practiced twice since being signed by the Bills on Wednesday, but his familiarity with Buffalo's offense will give him a good chance to play on third downs and in short yardage situations. Choice rushed for 3,365 yards as a three year starter under coach Chan Gailey at Georgia Tech, and will compete with Johnny White as the direct backup to C.J. Spiller.

Thu Nov 24 201108:23Tashard Choice knows Gailey well
Tashard Choice ran for 3,365 yards over three years under Bills coach Chan Gailey at Georgia Tech.
Choice has been abysmal as a runner over the last two seasons, rushing 100 times for 325 yards (3.25 YPC) while with the Cowboys and Redskins. But Gailey saw enough to claim him and now it's unclear if Choice or rookie Johnny White is C.J. Spiller's direct backup. With the Jets' rugged run defense on deck, it's a hands-off situation in fantasy for now.

Wed Nov 23 201116:29Bills awarded winning claim on Tashard Choice
Bills claimed RB Tashard Choice off waivers from the Redskins.
It's further confirmation Fred Jackson (fibula) is staring at a lengthy absence. After carrying the ball 28 times for only 75 yards in six games for the Cowboys, Choice was horrendous for the Redskins last Sunday, gaining just seven yards on six carries. With C.J. Spiller yet to prove he can run the ball with any success between-the-tackles, Choice should get a chance to prove himself in Buffalo, but is a low-upside fantasy flier.

Tue Nov 22 201116:59Redskins dump Choice, add rookie Royster
Redskins waived RB Tashard Choice.
The Redskins have opted to replace Choice with practice squad RB Evan Royster after seeing just six carries for seven yards in one game from the Ex-Cowboy. Choice did a lot of talking in his three weeks with the club, but failed to impress on the field. Flirting with a per-carry average near 2.0, Choice won't draw much interest league-wide.

Sun Nov 20 201118:29Tashard Choice gets seven touches in loss
Tashard Choice rushed six times for seven yards and added one catch for two yards in Sunday's overtime loss to the Cowboys.
Making his Redskins debut, Choice was the latest wrench coach Mike Shanahan threw into his backfield. Choice got a couple series to himself and ended up with more touches than "starter" Ryan Torain. The ex-Cowboy is now part of this three-man backfield, but playing time isn't his only obstacle. Choice is averaging just 2.41 yards per carry on the season.

Sun Nov 20 201112:01Tashard Choice active for Redskins
Tashard Choice (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
We'd expect Choice to act as the third-stringer behind Roy Helu and Ryan Torain, but you never know with Mike Shanahan. There's no word yet on the starter for today.

Fri Nov 18 201115:30Shanahan likes how Choice hits the hole
Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said Friday that he anticipates Tashard Choice playing in Week 11 against the Cowboys.
As usual, the Redskins will determine Choice's role during the game, based on "feeling." Said Shanahan of Choice, "I like the way he hits the holes. He'll get some opportunities to play in this game." Feel free to pick up Choice in 10- and 12-team leagues, but he won't be a fantasy option in his Redskins debut.

Thu Nov 17 201114:36Choice still far behind Helu, Torain?
Redskins OC Kyle Shanahan suggested Thursday that Tashard Choice is still a good distance behind Roy Helu and Ryan Torain in the backfield pecking order.
Shanahan hinted that Choice may not even play versus his former team this week. Knowing the Redskins, that could mean anything from surprise starter to game-day inactive. Our expectations for Choice remain low.

Tue Nov 15 201113:41Shanahan not sure if Choice will play
Coach Mike Shanahan still isn't sure if Tashard Choice (hamstring) will play against the Cowboys this week.
"How he's going to do this week, I can't tell you for sure," said Shanahan. "But he's feeling a lot more comfortable with our system. He's biting at the bit to get going. I think there's a big upside with him. But after a week of practice, I can't tell you for sure." Adding Choice to the whims of Shanahan will be just one more headache for Roy Helu owners.

Mon Nov 14 201111:39Choice guarantees he'll play against Cowboys
Tashard Choice (hamstring) is "100 percent sure" he'll play against the Cowboys.
Choice was deactivated for Sunday's loss because he wasn't completely healthy, but he's going to do everything in his power to suit up against his former team. He likely will play, but even in the Redskins' arbitrary and capricious backfield, it's hard to see him being worth a start in fantasy leagues. He averaged just 2.7 yards on 28 carries before being waived by Dallas.

Sun Nov 13 201111:57Tashard Choice inactive for Redskins
Redskins declared Tashard Choice (hamstring) inactive for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
Roy Helu's primary backup will be Ryan Torain. As previously reported, Rex Grossman gets back under center as John Beck has been benched. And Fred Davis is a full go despite his ankle tweak and reports of a failed recreational drug test. The rest of the Redskins inactives: WR Santana Moss, WR Niles Paul, T Jammal Brown, G Willie Smith, LB Keyaron Fox and CB Domonique Johnson.

Fri Nov 11 201116:46Tashard Choice listed as questionable
Redskins RB Tashard Choice (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 10.
Choice has a 50:50 shot to be active for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Choice is expected to be the Redskins' No. 3 back behind Roy Helu and Ryan Torain.

Thu Nov 10 201117:35Choice downgraded to limited on Thursday
Tashard Choice (hamstring) was downgraded to limited in Redskins practice Thursday.
The Redskins may have just been taking things slow with Choice after he turned in his first full practice in nearly three weeks on Wednesday, but mid-week downgrades are never good news. Even if Choice returns to full practice on Friday, he won't be a fantasy option for Week 10.

Wed Nov 9 201114:53Tashard Choice practices in full Wednesday
Tashard Choice (hamstring) participated fully in Redskins practice Wednesday.
Barring a setback, Choice will make his Redskins debut against the Dolphins. Washington's backfield has proven nearly impossible to predict, but it would be surprising if Choice was anything other than third on the depth chart Sunday. He remains worth a flier if you're desperate at running back, but if he's going to help, it will be down the road.

Wed Nov 9 201111:28Tashard Choice expects to play
Redskins RB Tashard Choice (hamstring) says he is fully healed and expects to play Sunday.
It's unclear how Choice fits into Mike Shanahan's plan for the backfield. He'll likely start off as a third-stringer behind Roy Helu and Ryan Torain while working his way into the system. It's hard to see Choice gaining fantasy value here considering how poorly he was playing in Dallas.

Mon Nov 7 201115:42Choice expected to practice Wednesday
Redskins coach Mike Shanahan expects Tashard Choice (hamstring) to return to practice Wednesday, but is unsure if he'll play against the Dolphins.
The Redskins could generate only 52 yards rushing against the 49ers' elite run defense in Sunday's loss, so Choice should be given a chance to contribute in Week 10 as long as he's healthy. A full practice on Wednesday would be a very good sign.

Wed Nov 2 201118:49Choice already ruled out for Week 9
Redskins RB Tashard Choice (hamstring) has been declared out for Week 9.
Choice was also dealing with a shoulder injury before being waived by the Cowboys, and his early deactivation hints he'll be far from a sure bet to suit up in Week 10. Choice remains worth a flier if you're cruising and have an available roster spot, but if you're fighting for your playoff life, you should probably look elsewhere.

Tue Nov 1 201120:17Report: Redskins only team to claim Choice
ProFootballTalk.com reports the Redskins were the only team to place a waiver claim on RB Tashard Choice.
Hardly a surprise since Choice is not even healthy enough to play in Week 9, and is averaging just 3.4 yards per carry over his past 22 games. On a team searching for answers at running back, Choice should be given a legitimate chance to contribute, but he's not going to be any sort of a fantasy savior.

Tue Nov 1 201109:16Tashard Choice (hamstring) won't play Sunday
Redskins RB Tashard Choice does not expect to play this week due to a hamstring injury.
Choice pulled a hamstring in Cowboys practice last week and needed an MRI. He said he expects to be ready in Week 10 when the Redskins visit the Dolphins. At least for this week's game against the Niners, Ryan Torain and Roy Helu won't be threatened by the new kid on the block.
