Jackson (shoulder) is unlikely to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Ravens, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports.
Jackson returned to practice over the weekend and doesn't seem to be in much danger of missing Week 1. If he does get in any work this preseason, it will likely just be a few snaps.

Jackson (shoulder) participated during individual drills Sunday, the Washington Post reports.
Jackson has been sidelined since August 6th. The team isn't worried about practice reps for Jackson, the important thing is to make sure he's healthy for Week 1.

Head coach Jay Gruden believes that Jackson (shoulder) may be able to play in Washington's third preseason game on Saturday, Aug. 29 at Baltimore.
Jackson has already spent more than a week on the pine in order to tend to an AC sprain in his right shoulder. Given a 1-to-2 week return timetable off the bat, Washington appears to be erring on the safe side regarding their No. 1 receiver. No matter, the primary goal is active status in Week 1, so Gruden's hopes may not come to fruition if Jackson's injury lingers.
Thu Aug 6 201516:32Jackson expected to miss one-to-two weeks
Jackson, who is dealing with an AC sprain in his right shoulder, is expected to miss one-to-two weeks.
As a result, Jackson's injury is on track to delay his preseason debut, but in the absence of any setbacks, the wideout does not appear in danger of missing any regular season action.
Thu Aug 6 201513:37DeSean Jackson: Suffers Separated Shoulder
Jackson sustained a Grade 2 shoulder separation at practice Thursday and appears likely to miss a couple of weeks, ESPN.com reports.
Jackson, who suffered the injury during a one-on-one drill Thursday that sent him to the sidelines with his right shoulder wrapped, thus appears destined to miss some preseason action, though with Washington's regular season opener not until Sept. 13, the initial timetable presented by the report bodes well for the wideout's Week 1 availability.
Thu Aug 6 201511:10Jackson walked off practice field Thursday with shoulder wrapped
Jackson walked off the practice field Thursday with his shoulder wrapped, the Washington Post reports.
With the field reportedly a little slick, Jackson fell to the turf during drills, which resulted in his apparent shoulder injury, the severity of which has yet to be determined.

Jackson sat out Sunday's practice after disloacting his left index finger the day before, the Washington Post reports.
Expect Jackson to take it easy at practice until the finger is recovered. There is no need to rush the starting wideout.

Jackson missed Tuesday's OTA in order to deal with a personal matter, The Washington Post reports.
After missing the initial week of OTAs from May 26-28, Jackson returned to action last week, and his absence is expected to be followed by participation in the final two OTAs Wednesday and Thursday. The aforementioned personal concern won't affect his availability for the start of mandatory minicamp next week, nor for training camp at the end of July. As he prepares for the upcoming campaign, he'll attempt to uphold last year's league-leading 20.9 YPC in his second season with Washington.
Tue Jun 2 201511:16Jackson expected to join teammates this week
Jackson, who wasn't at OTAs last week, is expected to join his teammates this week, ESPN.com reports.
Jackson was one of the few players absent from voluntary OTAs for a reason besides an injury or travel complications, but Redskins president Bruce Allen said he wasn't bothered by the veteran wideout's absence. Jackson was in touch with the team all along and will soon participate in voluntary workouts. Conditioning has seemingly never been a problem for the 28-year-old speedster, as the bigger issues are target volume and the Redskins' quarterback play. Robert Griffin is heading into a make-or-break year as the presumed starter, with a receiving corps that largely remains unchanged from last season. Jackson has plenty of competition for targets, but he's the premier talent of the bunch.

Jackson had two catches on three targets for 86 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's loss to the Cowboys.
Jackson scored on a 69-yard pass from Robert Griffin in the first quarter, but the Redskins wouldn't get back in the end zone until the fourth quarter in their eventual 44-17 loss. Jackson's first season in Washington finishes with 56 catches on 95 targets for 1,169 yards and six touchdowns, his second consecutive season -- and fourth in his career -- with at least 1,000 yards. Jackson still has two more years on the contract he signed in April, and he is fully expected to return next season to play opposite Pierre Garcon, though his fantasy potential could fluctuate greatly depending on who will be throwing the passes to him.

Jackson shredded his former team for 126 yards on four receptions in Saturday's 27-24 win over the Eagles.
Jackson has really cooled off in the second half of the year after a torrid first nine games, but he turned it up a notch Saturday against the team that let him go last offseason. In two games against Philadelphia this year, Jackson racked up nine receptions for 243 yards and a touchdown. With Robert Griffin III playing with renewed confidence, Jackson makes for a solid WR2/WR3 play in Week 17 against the Cowboys.

Jackson (shin) had three catches on eight targets for 15 receiving yards and one carry for nine rushing yards during Sunday's loss to the Giants.
Jackson had one catch on two targets for six yards from quarterback Colt McCoy before he was knocked out of the game in the first quarter with a neck injury and replaced by Robert Griffin, who connected with Jackson twice on six targets for nine yards. Despite the paltry yardage figure, Jackson led the Redskins in targets and will look to connect more in Week 16 against an Eagles defense allowing the seventh-most passing yards per game and giving up the fourth-most passing touchdowns this season.
Sun Dec 14 201411:28DeSean Jackson: (Shin) Active Sunday
Jackson (shin) is active for Sunday's game against the Giants in New York.
Jackson has brushed off a 50-50 chance to play in Week 15, but those odds imply the wide receiver isn't close to full health. Nonetheless, he'll seek to exploit a Giants defense that has allowed 13.3 YPC and five receiving touchdowns to wideouts in the last four contests.

Washington believes Jackson (shin) will play Sunday against the Giants, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Jackson suffered the injury in Week 13 against the Colts and was unable to play last Sunday against the Rams, but after being limited in practice this week, he looks poised to return after head coach Jay Gruden said he was 50-50 to play. The biggest issue is that Jackson has struggled to run at full speed this week, which is obviously a big part of his game.

Jackson (shin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Jackson was questionable last week and ended up missing the game, but he now has another week of recovery under his belt and was able to do more in practice this week than he was last week. Nevertheless, this looks like a true game-time decision, though fortunately Washington plays in the early slate of games Sunday.
Thu Dec 11 201415:49DeSean Jackson: (Shin) Limited Thursday
Jackson (shin) was limited in practice Thursday.
Jackson was contained to individual drills for a second consecutive day, leaving the same question marks heading into the final practice of the week. Friday's injury report will hand down his potential Week 15 availability against the Giants in New York, but he may not achieve active status if he's unable to show off his normal jets in advance of the game.
Thu Dec 11 201411:10DeSean Jackson: (Lower Leg) Practices Again Thursday
Jackson (lower leg) took part in individual drills Thursday, CSN's Tarik El-Bashir reports.
Jackson has been able to get on the practice field two days in a row, but is status for Week 15 remains in question, as head coach Jay Gruden said Jackson will need to run at full speed in the next day or two in order to play Sunday.
Wed Dec 10 201413:48DeSean Jackson: (Shin) Limited Wednesday
Jackson (shin) was limited in Wednesday's practice. Afterward, coach Jay Gruden said, "I think he can jog pretty good...He just needs to air it out."
Gruden intimated that Jackson's activity level in Thursday's iteration of drills will be "telling" for his Week 15 availability, but at the moment, the wideout is 50-50 to suit up Sunday versus the Giants in New York, according to Rob Carlin of CSN Washington. Expect Jackson's status to receive clarification, one way or the other, by the end of the week.

With regard to Jackson, who missed Sunday's game against the Rams with a shin contusion, coach Jay Gruden indicated Monday, "hopefully he'll play this week...we'll wait and see on that."
Jackson thus remains in the iffy category in advance of Sunday's game against the Giants, with Washington's QB situation for the contest cloudy as well, thanks to Colt McCoy's neck sprain.
Sun Dec 7 201411:35DeSean Jackson: (Shin) Out Sunday
As expected, Jackson (shin) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams.
Jackson's shin prevented him from practicing all week. Andre Roberts will likely see an uptick in playing time with Jackson out, and maybe even Santana Moss (who had his first targets of the year last week after Jackson left with the injury) will see additional involvement.
