Jackson (shin) will not play in Sunday's game against the Rams, sources told Dianna Marie Russini of NBC TV Channel 4 in Washington, D.C..
Jackson did not practice all week, so this wouldn't be a surprise. However, he's listed as questionable on the injury report. Still, Jackson owners will need to check back before Sunday's 1:00 pm ET kickoff to get confirmation on this report.

Jackson (shin) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams.
Jackson is iffy for this game, and even if he does suit up, his quickness and explosiveness could be limited by the injury. But it's not all bad news: Washington's passing attack - reinvigorated by new starting quarterback Colt McCoy - should be able to find success against the Rams' mediocre passing defense. Jackson owners will need to check back before Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff to get confirmation one way or another on his status.

Jackson (shin) didn't take part in practice Thursday.
Thus marks a second consecutive absence from drills, which isn't a surprise considering Jay Gruden's comments Monday that Jackson will "be OK with time," according to Chris Russell of 980 ESPN Washington. After suffering a shin contusion this past Sunday, running, cutting, and jumping, which are hallmarks of Jackson's repertoire, are likely difficult maneuvers at the moment. However, with one practice remaining this week, there remains a chance that his status will clear up before Sunday's game against the Rams.

The injury that Jackson sustained Sunday against the Colts is a lower leg contusion, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports.
Meanwhile, Chris Russell of espn980.com notes that coach Jay Gruden suggested Monday that it looks like Jackson will "be okay with time," while indicating on that front that he doesn't know "how long it will be." With that in mind, the wideout's status for Sunday's game against the Rams is cloudy at this stage, though hopefully as the week progresses, we'll have added clarity with regard to Jackson's Week 14 playing prospects.
Mon Dec 1 201410:24X-rays on Jackson's injured leg came back negative
X-rays on Jackson's injured leg came back negative , the Washington Post reports.
Jackson was seen walking with a limp after the game and said he was in constant pain Sunday night. He is uncertain at this point if he will miss any time.
Sun Nov 30 201416:11DeSean Jackson: (Fibula) Out For Remainder Of Sunday's Contest
Jackson (leg) has been downgraded to out, ESPN's John Keim reports.
Jackson was carted off the field Sunday with what was originally called a "fibula bruise," and will not return to the contest. The Redskins will have to mount their comeback effort without their leader in both receiving yards and touchdowns.

Jackson is questionable to return after suffering a fibula contusion that forced him to be carted off the field in Sunday's game.
Jackson caught 5-of-6 targets for 84 yards and a touchdown prior to exiting, and it doesn't appear likely that the wideout will return to action. The team will likely have Jackson undergo further x-rays to confirm the injury, and we'll update his status as soon as more information is known. Look for Pierre Garcon, Jordan Reed and Andre Roberts to lead the Redskins' receiving attack with Jackson's status uncertain.

Jackson caught 2-of-5 targets for 39 yards in Sunday's 17-14 loss at San Francisco.
Jackson was quiet, although he actually led the Redskins in receiving yardage. Robert Griffin has struggled the last couple of weeks, which has hurt Jackson's production. Until the offense gets back on track, it will be tough to rely on Jackson, but on the bright side, he'll face a beatable Colts' secondary in Week 13.

Jackson had four catches on six targets for 35 receiving yards, while rushing once for two yards Sunday against the Buccaneers.
After going for at least 115 yards in four of five games before a Week 10 bye, Jackson put up his third-lowest yardage total of the season Sunday. Unfortunately, the schedule doesn't get any easier, as the Redskins will face off against a 49ers defense in Week 12 that is allowing the fifth-fewest passing yards per game this season.

Jackson had four catches on seven targets for 120 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Vikings.
Jackson's excellent season rolls right along, as he posted his fourth game with at least 115 yards in the last five weeks. Because he's primarily a deep threat, he doesn't gain much value in PPR leagues, but he's clearly the most effective receiver on the roster and should continue to see a decent number of targets from quarterback Robert Griffin, who started Sunday for the first time since suffering a dislocated ankle in Week 2. Washington is off in Week 10, but they'll come out of the bye with an excellent fantasy matchup in Week 11 against a Bucs defense allowing the second-most passing yards per game this season.

Jackson caught 6-of-7 targets for 136 yards in Monday's 20-17 overtime win over the Cowboys.
Jackson hasn't been consistent, but his prowess on the deep ball has led to four games with 115 or more receiving yards, putting him on pace to top 1,300 yards for the season, even with just 53 targets and 32 receptions through eight games. While his mark of 12.5 yards per target is unsustainable, there's little doubt that he's one of the top deep threats in the game, making 10-11 yards per target a reasonable, if optimistic, expectation. He broke free for gains of 49 and 45 yards during Monday's game, and the 49-yarder could've gone for a long touchdown, if not for an underthrow by Colt McCoy. So long as you don't mind the inevitable duds when the deep passes don't connect, Jackson should be a strong option for the second half of the season, offering a high ceiling each week. He could also get a boost from the eventual return of Robert Griffin (ankle), who has a better arm than both McCoy and Kirk Cousins.

Jackson had three catches on five targets for 49 yards Sunday against the Titans.
Jackson's streak of posting at least 115 yards and a touchdown ended at two games, as his long play of 37 yards failed to reach the end zone. He continues to be a boom-or-bust type player, which makes him hard to sit in most fantasy leagues, regardless of the matchup.

Jackson caught three passes on five targets for 115 yards and scored a touchdown in Sunday's 30-20 loss at Arizona.
Jackson absolutely smoked star CB Patrick Peterson on his 64-yard touchdown, taking a relatively short pass all the way to the end zone. Jackson has been a little inconsistent this season, but he's been fantastic the last two games, racking up 272 yards and two touchdowns. He'll face an average Titans's secondary in Week 7.

Jackson caught 5-of-11 targets for 157 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 27-17 loss to the Seahawks.
Jackson's first reception didn't come until late in the second quarter, but he made it count by taking a deep pass down the right sideline 60 yards for a score. His second reception, which came on the first play of the second half, went for a 57-yard gain down the left sideline, courtesy of an incredible throw by QB Kirk Cousins. While clearly capable of making some fantastic plays, Cousins is also prone to make ugly mistakes. He's shown a willingness to take shots downfield, which should mesh well with Jackson's penchant for the deep ball. The burner has hauled in just 20-of-37 targets through five games, but with 364 receiving yards to show for it, thanks to a trio of long gains. His shoulder seems to be fine, and he'll face an Arizona defense with some major injury concerns next week.
Mon Oct 6 201419:16Jackson (shoulder) active for Monday's game against Seahawks
Jackson (shoulder) is active for Monday's game against the Seahawks, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports.
There was little question regarding Jackson's ability to take the field. However, he's tallied exactly one reception in two of four outings with Washington, making him a modest option at best with Kirk Cousins under center.

Jackson (shoulder) is listed as probable for Monday's game against the Seahawks.
Jackson went into Week 4 with a questionable designation, but he did suit up, and there doesn't seem to be any doubt as to his availability for Sunday. The 27-year-old old practiced in full all week. While Jackson has put up a modest 207 yards and one touchdown through four games and now draws a tough matchup in the Seahawks, he should at least avoid Richard Sherman for most of the game, with Sherman presumably sticking on the taller Pierre Garcon.

Jackson (shoulder) caught one pass for nine yards on three targets in Thursday's 45-14 loss to the Giants.
No Washington player got more than six targets, and the team's wide receivers combined for just four receptions. Even while trying to erase a deficit, Kirk Cousins had 15 of his 19 completions go to either tight ends or running backs, with another four passes falling into the hands of defenders. It was a complete 180 from the last two weeks, when Cousins piled up 677 passing yards and five touchdowns against the Jaguars and Eagles. Already known for his hit-or-miss nature, Jackson is off to a slow start in Washington, with a 15-207-1 receiving line through four games, despite going for 5-117-1 last week. Next week brings a tricky home game against the Seahawks.
Thu Sep 25 201419:06DeSean Jackson: (Shoulder) Active Thursday
Jackson (shoulder) is active for Thursday's game against the Giants, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports.
For a second outing in a row, Jackson will tough out the AC sprain in his left shoulder, as he teams with Pierre Garcon to form a fearsome receiving duo for quarterback Kirk Cousins to consider. With a juicy matchup on tap -- the Giants yield a robust 15.8 YPC to opposing wide receivers -- Jackson is a decent bet to post a friendly line.
Thu Sep 25 201412:31DeSean Jackson: (Shoulder) Expected To Play Thursday
Jackson (shoulder) is expected to take the field Thursday against the Giants, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Jackson brushed off the AC sprain in his left shoulder in Week 3, contributing five receptions (on 11 targets) for 117 yards and his first touchdown in Philadelphia. He appears poised to do so again, but the release of Washington's inactive list will reveal, one way or the other, whether the wideout is available.
Wed Sep 24 201413:40DeSean Jackson: (Shoulder) Questionable For Thursday
Jackson (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Giants.
With a divisional tilt on tap, Jackson is likely more apt to play through the AC joint sprain in his left shoulder, which didn't stop him from racking up 117 yards and a touchdown on five receptions this past Sunday. In any case, check on his status prior to Thursday's 8:25 PM ET kickoff to ensure his availability.
