Wed Oct 17 2012 | 13:30 | Greg Little struggling mightily with drops |
Browns WR Greg Little has dropped 30 percent of his catchable targets. |
Little has six drops despite being targeted just 31 total times. It's a staggering percentage, and one that will have his role continuing to decline if he can't replace his oven mitts with hands in the very near future. It's doubtful Little comes into any fantasy value this season. |

Sun Oct 14 2012 | 18:23 | Greg Little catches just three balls |
Greg Little caught just three passes for 18 yards in the Browns' Week 6 win over the Bengals. |
Even with fellow wideouts Mohamed Massaquoi, Jordan Norwood and Travis Benjamin sidelined by injury, Little saw just five targets. In six games this year, he's averaging just 2.3 catches for 28.1 yards and has one touchdown. Little just isn't good enough in real life or fantasy. |

Sun Oct 7 2012 | 17:10 | Greg Little held without a Week 5 reception |
Greg Little was held without a catch in the Browns' Week 5 loss to the Giants. |
He was targeted twice, dropping one, and appeared to lose playing time to slot receiver Jordan Norwood. Little now has 11 receptions on 27 targets this season, good for a 40.7-percent catch rate. The Browns may continue to look for ways to weed Little out of the offense because he's just not getting it done. |

Fri Sep 28 2012 | 00:38 | Little plagued by drops again in Week 4 loss |
Greg Little caught four passes for 77 yards in Week 4 against the Ravens. |
Little was plagued by drops again this week, dropping three passes and a potential 34-yard touchdown. He saw a team-high 10 targets on the night. Little has all the potential, but his development will be limited until he can start catching the ball on a consistent basis. He probably would have been benched had Cleveland not already been without receivers Mohamed Massaquoi and Josh Cribbs. |

Mon Sep 24 2012 | 13:37 | Browns may bench Little for dropping passes |
Browns coach Pat Shurmur indicated Monday that Greg Little may be benched for dropping the football. |
"When he goes out in the game, got to catch ball," Shurmur said. "Can't play a guy that's going to drop footballs." Little finished second in the NFL in drops in 2011 and has two more through three games on 16 targets. It's time to consider dropping Little in fantasy leagues. He has 74 yards on the season. |

Greg Little was listed on Wednesday's injury report with a back injury, but got in a full practice. |
If this was a major issue, Little would have been limited or held out altogether. He should be fine for Sunday's contest against the Bills. |

Sat Sep 15 2012 | 11:13 | Greg Little believes drops not a problem |
Greg Little believes dropped passes will not be a problem moving forward. |
"I just don't think that I'm going to have that type of issue," said Little. "I'm seeing the ball a lot better, focusing on the ball instead of just running after the catch. That's what you see oftentimes, that you're so open that you're ready to get that ball, and make a move that you just don't secure the catch right away." We don't share Little's optimism. He's Rotoworld's No. 46 ranked WR this week. |

Wed Sep 12 2012 | 10:01 | Drops continue to plague Greg Little |
Coach Pat Shurmur was critical of Greg Little's latest drop following Sunday's loss to the Eagles. |
Little dropped a well-thrown ball near the goal line during the second quarter, resulting in Brandon Weeden's first interception. It's a concern after Little was tagged for 14 drops a year ago. "When the ball hits you in the neck, you've got to catch it," Shurmur said. |

Sun Sep 9 2012 | 19:25 | Greg Little records zero catches in Week 1 |
Greg Little caught zero passes on four targets in the Browns' Week 1 loss to the Eagles. |
Brandon Weeden's first interception deflected off Little and into the arms of Eagles S Kurt Coleman. After that, Mohammed Massaquoi and Travis Benjamin were the featured targets for the rookie quarterback. It's a bad start after Little was charged with 14 drops a year ago. He needs to be benched until Weeden straightens himself out. |

Fri Aug 24 2012 | 22:26 | Little held to three yards vs. Eagles |
Greg Little was held to just three yards on one reception against the Eagles in the third preseason game. |
Little tied for the team lead with four targets, but had a potential touchdown knocked away in heavy traffic and a communication issue with Brandon Weeden on a third-down play. Little has five receptions for 48 yards in three preseason games. Expect up-and-down WR3 production from Little as Weeden takes his rookie-year lumps. |

Thu Aug 16 2012 | 23:05 | Greg Little goes for 45 yards on four catches |
Greg Little caught four balls for 45 yards in the Browns' second preseason game Thursday night at Lambeau. |
Little was held without a catch in the exhibition opener against Detroit, playing sparingly. In the second preseason game, Little dropped an easy pass over the middle but also showed Boldinian run-after-catch skills on a 24-yard gain, with two defenders draped all over him. Little is the heavy favorite to lead Cleveland in 2012 receiving. With improved quarterback play, Little should flirt with consistent WR3 value in 2012, especially in PPR formats. |

Sun Jul 29 2012 | 22:13 | Greg Little getting work in the slot |
Greg Little is getting some work in the slot early in Browns training camp. |
Little was often in the slot in three-wide sets last year, so he does have experience. Vic Carucci of the Browns official website attributes the emphasis this year on an attempt to put Little and rookie Josh Gordon on the field "as much as possible." Gordon has shown smooth routes, good hands and an ability to separate from defenders thus far. |

Sun Jun 10 2012 | 10:12 | Little's concentration to blame for drops |
Browns coaches blame WR Greg Little's concentration, not his hands, for his 14 rookie-season drops. |
The Browns' only impact offseason acquisition at wide receiver was fourth-round Travis Benjamin. It's clear they're confident in Little's ability to lead the unit, but he'll need to improve on his 54-percent catch rate after finishing third among wide receivers in drops a season ago. Little sits 39th in our initial wide receiver rankings. |

Wed May 30 2012 | 14:02 | Greg Little has lost 11 pounds |
Greg Little clarified that he's lost 11 pounds since the end of last season. |
Little attributed the healthy weight loss to "working out and good nutrition." The Cleveland Plain Dealer has repeatedly called Little a Pro Bowl candidate. While we're not ready to go that far, he's certainly an inviting fantasy football target as the No. 1 receiver in an offense that should make strides in 2012. |

Wed May 23 2012 | 08:37 | Greg Little reshapes body in second year |
Browns WR Greg Little arrived at OTAs looking like he "dedicated the offseason to reshaping his body in an effort to add quickness," according to ESPN Cleveland. |
"He looks much leaner, and he was running around well," coach Pat Shurmur said. "It's his first true offseason as a pro and I think what he has done is he has taken good care of his body." The body makeover may not cure Little's dropsies, but it could very well help him find the run-after-catch explosion that was missing as a rookie. |

Tue May 22 2012 | 13:06 | Shurmur: Little, Massaquoi 'early starters' |
Browns coach Pat Shurmur says Greg little and Mohamed Massaquoi are the "early starters" at receiver. |
Little can be safely penciled in as the Browns' No. 1 wideout, but Massaquoi will have to fight off challenges from fourth-round pick Travis Benjamin and Jordan Norwood. It's certainly an advantage for Massaquoi to begin the offseason program atop the depth chart, but he'll be far from guaranteed of starting in Week 1. He hasn't been the same player since his October 2010 concussion, and turned in a thoroughly unimpressive 2011. |

Sat May 19 2012 | 11:07 | Greg Little capable of Pro Bowl-type year? |
The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot believes WR Greg Little is capable of "maybe even a Pro Bowl-type of year" if Brandon Weeden wins the starting quarterback job. |
Cabot points out that Little tallied a respectable 61 receptions and 709 yards as a rookie despite missing the 2010 season as well as last year's offseason program. On the flip side, Little also led the NFL in drop percentage, had no signature play all season, and was just middle-of-the-road in yards after catch per reception. |

Thu Jan 5 2012 | 12:06 | Heckert: Greg Little had too many drops |
Browns GM Tom Heckert acknowledged Thursday that Greg Little "had way too many drops" during his rookie season. |
"The verdict is still out on him," added Heckert. Pro Football Focus charged Little with 14 drops, tied for second in the league despite seeing only the 17th-most targets. Little may warrant benefit of the doubt after not playing football in 2010 due to an NCAA suspension, but long term he doesn't project as a No. 1 receiver. While president Mike Holmgren called Little "a guy to build around," the Browns will likely pursue a true field stretcher this offseason. |
