The right-hander allowed three hits and a double, turning a 1-1 tie into a 4-1 Pirates lead. Rodriguez still has a very respectable 1.64 ERA, 0.77 WHIP, and 28/4 K/BB ratio in 22 innings, however.

The right-hander now owns a 0.43 ERA, 0.62 WHIP and 27/4 K/BB ratio, and his 16 saves are the most in the National League.

Tue Apr 22 201400:41Francisco Rodriguez earns eighth save
Francisco Rodriguez notched his fourth save in four days with a scoreless ninth Monday against the Padres.
Apparently, the Brewers aren't too concerned about overworking Rodriguez in the early going. Still, we can't imagine there's any way he pitches Tuesday, which could result in a save chance for Jim Henderson.

Fri Apr 18 201422:19K-Rod shuts down Pirates to earn fifth save
Francisco Rodriguez tossed a soreless ninth inning against the Pirates on Friday, earning his fifth save of the season.
The 32-year-old right-hander has been nothing short of dominant since taking over the closer's role from Jim Henderson an interim basis. He hasn't allowed a run in eight innings on the year, while posting a 0.62 WHIP and 13/2 K/BB ratio. There's no reason to believe that Jim Henderson will win his job back anytime soon.

K-Rod issued a leadoff walk to Pedro Alvarez but was perfect the rest of the way in a scoreless top of the ninth. He has not allowed a run and has fanned 11 batters in six innings this season, also yielding just one hit. It's tough at this point to envision Jim Henderson winning back closer duties. Milwaukee is off to a 9-2 start.

Francisco Rodriguez struck out the side Friday against the Pirates for his third save of the season.
Rodriguez has been brilliant so far this season, allowing just one hit and no walks over five scoreless innings to go along with 11 strikeouts. Jim Henderson tossed a scoreless eighth inning Friday and is seemingly returning to form, but it could be tough for him to take the closer role back when K-Rod is pitching like this.

Sat Apr 5 201423:47K-Rod strikes out side for save
Francisco Rodriguez struck out the side in the 11th for his second save Saturday against the Red Sox.
With Jim Henderson having a lousy outing in middle relief, it doesn't look like the Brewers will be switching closers anytime soon. K-Rod should be picked up in any leagues in which he remains available.

Mon Mar 31 201417:24K-Rod to serve as Brewers' closer for now
Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said after Monday's game that Francisco Rodriguez will serve as the team's closer for now.
Rodriguez surprisingly got the nod to close out Monday's win over the Braves and pitched a scoreless ninth inning. Roenicke addressed the situation after the game and said that he's going to stick with K-Rod for now in order to give Jim Henderson time to get his stuff back. Rodriguez is obviously worth owning in all fantasy formats, but this situation could change at any time.

Mon Mar 31 201417:02Francisco Rodriguez notches save in opener
Francisco Rodriguez, not Jim Henderson, got the save chance for the Brewers on Monday and pitched a scoreless ninth against the Braves.
The guess here is that something is wrong with Henderson. K-Rod certainly didn't do anything to beat him out for the job while giving up three homers and eight runs -- five earned -- in six innings this spring. That said, Rodriguez is still a fine reliever, and if Henderson does miss some time, he'll be worth owning in all formats.
