Fri Aug 16 201321:34K-Rod leaves early with undisclosed injury
Francisco Rodriguez was removed from Friday's game against the Rockies due to an undisclosed injury.
It appeared that Rodriguez may have tweaked something while warming up, but still attempted to pitch through it. He came on to get two outs to end the seventh inning, then returned in the eighth and allowed a solo homer and a single before being removed. He was limping while walking off the field with the training staff. The O's should have an update on his status shortly.

ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reports that the Red Sox and Dodgers "continue to keep the closest watch" on Brewers' reliever Francisco Rodriguez.
In fact, Crasnick hears that both teams have had scouts "all over him" this week in Milwaukee. The Tigers are also monitoring the situation, but they aren't as eager to deal following the emergence of Joaquin Benoit and Drew Smyly in the late innings.

CBS Sports' Danny Knobler reports the Dodgers have been the team most heavily scouting Francisco Rodriguez.
K-Rod has a 1.09 ERA and 10 saves in 25 appearances this season and is expected to draw heavy interest leading up to the July 31 trade deadline. The Tigers and Red Sox are also among the teams who have been linked to the 31-year-old. Rodriguez is a strong candidate to be dealt later this month.

Francisco Rodriguez tossed a scoreless inning of relief in Milwaukee's 1-0, 13-inning victory against the Marlins on Sunday.
K-Rod danced around a leadoff single in the ninth and later intentionally walked Logan Morrison. Rodriguez has been the speculation of plenty of trade rumors recently, drawing interest from the Tigers and Red Sox specifically. The 31-year-old owns a spectacular 1.09 ERA and 1.05 WHIP.

Sun Jul 21 201314:07Tigers, Red Sox scouting Francisco Rodriguez
FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Tigers and Red Sox are scouting Francisco Rodriguez.
ESPN's Buster Olney reported Saturday that the Tigers were after K-Rod, and evidently he's on the Red Sox' radar, as well. The interest is no surprise, as Rodriguez sports a nifty 1.14 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 26/8 K/BB ratio in 23 2/3 innings this season. He'll almost surely be dealt this month.

Sat Jul 20 201316:12Tigers hoping to acquire Francisco Rodriguez
ESPN's Buster Olney reports that the Tigers are hoping to acquire the Brewers' Francisco Rodriguez.
But Detroit is probably going to have to pay a hefty price. There is a crowded trade market for K-Rod, who has a brilliant 1.14 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 26/8 K/BB ratio in 23 2/3 innings this season. If he winds up with the Tigers, he could get a chance to save games.

Sat Jul 20 201300:06Francisco Rodriguez notches 10th save
Francisco Rodriguez worked a perfect ninth inning in Friday's victory over the Marlins, earning his 10th save of the season.
With many teams on the hunt for bullpen upgrades, K-Rod is becoming an increasingly popular option with as well as he's pitching. Through 23 2/3 innings on the season, he owns a microscopic 1.14 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 26/8 K/BB ratio.

Tue Jul 9 201315:11Dodgers watching K-Rod, Axford, Gonzalez
CBS Sports' Danny Knobler reports that the Dodgers sent a scout to Milwaukee this week to watch Brewers' relievers Francisco Rodriguez, John Axford, and Mike Gonzalez.
Milwaukee is a popular destination for scouts at the moment, as Knobler hears that the Red Sox, Orioles and Tigers also have scouts in town this week. Meanwhile, all four of the other NL West have shown interest in the Brewers' relievers at times, as well as right-hander Yovani Gallardo. Rodriguez and Gonzalez can become free agents following the season while Axford is under team control through 2016.

Tue Jul 9 201300:04K-Rod notches ninth save
Francisco Rodriguez recorded his ninth save with a hitless ninth against the Reds on Monday.
Jim Henderson set him up with a scoreless eighth. Rodriguez is still perfect in his save chances, and the Brewers seem to have abandoned any plans to go back to Henderson in the closer's role. Of course, K-Rod remains a likely trade candidate, so he can't be counted on for many more saves going forward.

Sat Jul 6 201322:58K-Rod allows solo homer, still earns save
Francisco Rodriguez served up a solo home run to Marlon Byrd in the ninth inning on Saturday, but fanned the other three hitters he faced to escape with his eighth save of the season.
Rodriguez has been nothing short of outstanding since rejoining the Brewers, posting a 1.31 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 24/7 K/BB ratio over 20 2/3 innings, while converting all eight of his save opportunities. With Jim Henderson and John Axford also performing well in the Brewers' bullpen, the situation seems primed for a trade or two in the coming weeks.

Wed Jul 3 201321:59Francisco Rodriguez converts seventh save
Francisco Rodriguez nailed down his seventh save of the season with a scoreless inning in Wednesday's win over the Nationals.
K-Rod allowed a single and a walk but got Anthony Rendon to fly out to end it. Jim Henderson had pitched three of the last four days, so it's possible he wasn't available. However, he did blow his last save chance and has been out-pitched by K-Rod of late, so the two might share the role.

Sat Jun 22 201319:08K-Rod earns 300th save as Brewers top Braves
Francisco Rodriguez earned his 300th career save Saturday in the Brewers' 2-0 defeat of the Braves.
K-Rod gave up a one-out single in the top of the ninth inning to Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons but was able to work out of the jam. He's now the 25th member of the 300-save club, though he's expected to be stripped of the Brewers' ninth-inning role for Jim Henderson now that the milestone has been met. So it's bittersweet.

Wed Jun 19 201323:50K-Rod picks up save No. 299 against Astros
Francisco Rodriguez earned his fifth save of the season, number 299 of his career, against the Astros on Wednesday.
K-Rod is now just one away from 300, a number only 24 others have reached in baseball's history. Jim Henderson will be reinstalled as the Brewers' closer once K-Rod gets to the plateau, but even then Rodriguez should continue to be a valuable pitcher in leagues that count holds. He has a 0.68 ERA and 0.75 WHIP through 13 1/3 innings and will likely become the team's setup man once Henderson is back closing.

Sun Jun 9 201309:36K-Rod will get a chance at save No. 300
Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said that while Jim Henderson is his closer, he will give Francisco Rodriguez a chance to get to 300 career saves.
Rodriguez is at 298 saves after recording his fourth of the season on Saturday. It's unclear when the opportunities will come, but fantasy owners in need of saves can probably hang on to K-Rod for a while longer. He's been great for the Brewers this season, posting a 0.87 ERA and 0.68 WHIP over 11 appearances.

Sat Jun 1 201319:23Despite homer, K-Rod records third save
Francisco Rodriguez notched his third save despite giving up a Freddy Galvis solo homer in the ninth inning Saturday against the Phillies.
Fortunately, K-Rod had a two-run buffer tonight. Even more fortunate for him, there was no replay to overturn the out that ended the game; Kyle Kendrick was called out on a pickoff even though Jean Segura dropped the ball. The run was the first K-Rod has allowed in 7 1/3 innings since joining the Brewers a couple of weeks ago.

Fri May 24 201323:12K-Rod notches 295th career save
Francisco Rodriguez replaced an injured Jim Henderson and notched a one-out save in Friday's win over the Pirates.
It was his 295th career save. Rodriguez only threw two pitches after replacing Henderson, as Neil Walker grounded out to end the ball game. The severity of Henderson's injury isn't yet known, but K-Rod could certainly factor in if he requires an extended absence. John Axford could also get another chance at the role.

Thu May 16 201310:03Brewers officially add K-Rod to active roster
Brewers purchased the contract of RHP Francisco Rodriguez from Triple-A Nashville.
K-Rod will join the Brewers on Thursday night in Pittsburgh. He allowed no runs and only one hit in four tune-up appearances in the minor leagues and should do fine as a setup man. The 31-year-old righty could eventually be tried at closer if Jim Henderson falters.

Wed May 15 201315:44Brewers calling up RHP Francisco Rodriguez
CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Brewers are calling up reliever Francisco Rodriguez.
Rodriguez's minor league deal required that the Brewers make a decision by Wednesday whether to add him the roster. The 31-year-old struck out seven over four scoreless innings in the minors and could work his way into the late innings for Milwaukee.

Sun May 12 201310:35Francisco Rodriguez moved up to Triple-A
Francisco Rodriguez has been promoted to Triple-A Nashville.
Rodriguez struck out four over two scoreless innings for High-A Brevard County. The Brewers must decide later this week whether or not to add K-Rod to the major league roster. It would certainly be a surprise if he's not in their bullpen in a few days.
