Rodriguez gave up a hit and nothing else in a scoreless ninth against the Nationals on Thursday to pick up his 13th save of the season.

Rodriguez will throw another bullpen session Tuesday, and could pitch in a minor league game later this week, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.

Rodriguez joined the Brewers in camp last week, and will begin a pitching routine in preparation for Opening Day. He remains the favorite to continue the closer role for the Brewers in 2015, but the team could have other options to turn to if necessary.

Rodriguez signed a two-year, $13 million contract with the Brewers in the offseason, and is now slated to return to his closer duties with the club again for the next two seasons.
