Ramirez (groin) will get the start Tuesday against Cleveland, Roger Mooney of The Tampa Tribune reports.
All signs have pointed to Ramirez's return to the rotation since he tossed a bullpen session on Friday without any incident. He's sporting a 6-2 record, but a 4.23 ERA is something he'll look to improve upon when he makes the start Tuesday.

Ramirez said he felt no pain after his Friday bullpen session and could rejoin the rotation Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
That should be all the confirmation we need to fully expect Ramirez starting Tuesday. This was expected once Ramirez missed his Tuesday bullpen session, which led to him being scratched from his Friday start. Since the Rays had an off day Thursday, they just pushed every member of the rotation up one day instead of giving them an extra day of rest. Ramirez could be a candidate to leave the rotation once Matt Moore returns, so a good start would be encouraging for his long-term value.

Ramirez (groin) should return to the rotation Tuesday if his bullpen session Friday goes well, Marc Topkin of The Tampa Bay Times reports.
Ramirez was forced from his last start on Saturday due to a groin strain, which effectively scratched him from his scheduled start for Friday. Instead, he'll throw a bullpen session Friday and provided that there are no setbacks, the Rays are confident that they'll have Ramirez back in the rotation Tuesday against Cleveland.

Tue Jun 23 201517:10Ramirez (groin) won't throw for another two or three days
Ramirez (groin) won't throw for another two or three days, Matt Baker of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Ramirez was on track to toss a bullpen session Tuesday, but the fact that his throwing program was pushed back suggests that he'll have his scheduled start for Friday skipped. Manager Kevin Cash expressed optimism that that would be the extent of Ramirez's setback, with a return to the rotation next week still a distinct possibility.

Ramirez said Sunday that his strained groin felt "way better," but he won't know how much time he'll miss until his Tuesday bullpen session, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The Rays have a lot of flexibility with their rotation and how to handle Ramirez thanks to their off day Thursday. If Ramirez is good to go, he can take the mound in his scheduled Friday start and give the rest of rotation an extra day of rest. If he needs time, the rotation can go through without the day of rest and he can take multiple days off. We should know more Tuesday.
Sat Jun 20 201522:57Ramirez (groin) optimistic he will not miss much time
Ramirez (groin) is optimistic he will not miss much time, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Ramirez three three scoreless innings with three strikeouts before leaving Saturday's game with a right groin strain. He will likely not be placed on the disabled list, but it is uncertain when he will be able to make his next appearance.

Ramirez left Saturday's game in the fourth inning with a right groin strain, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Tribune reports.
The severity of the strain is uncertain, and he should be considered day-to-day until the team elaborates, but this sounds like the type of injury that could threaten to push Ramirez to the DL. He threw three scoreless innings with three strikeouts against Cleveland prior to exiting.
Sat Jun 20 201520:27Erasmo Ramirez: Early Exit Saturday
Ramirez left Saturday's game in the fourth inning with an apparent injury, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
He hunched over in pain after delivering his 39th pitch of the outing, and after a brief visit from the trainer, Ramirez left the field. Xavier Cedeno came into the game to replace Ramirez, who should be considered day-to-day and questionable to make his next start until more information becomes available.

Ramirez continued his recent strong play Monday, shutting out the Nationals over six innings to earn the win.
Ramirez did walk three batters, but only allowed five hits, allowing him to limit the damage. The 25 year old has been on a tear recently, winning four straight games. He has allowed just three runs total in his last four starts. His next outing will come this weekend against the Indians.

Ramirez (5-2) gave up two runs and five hits while striking out three in five innings to get the win over the Angels on Wednesday.
Ramirez won for the fifth time in six starts, and now has an ERA of 2.61 in the month of June. After his abysmal April when he gave up 16 runs in 11 innings, Ramirez bounced back by posting a 2.90 ERA for the month of May. He seems to only be getting better, and his next test will come Monday when he faces off against the Nationals.

Ramirez (4-2) held the Mariners to one run and seven hits in 5.1 innings to help the Rays to a 2-1 victory Thursday night. He struck out five and walked one.
After spending three seasons with Seattle before being traded to Tampa Bay on March 31, Ramirez faced his former teammates for the first time and came away with the win. After a disastrous start to the season (16 runs in 11.1 innings in April), Ramirez has settled down and is now the winner of four of his last five starts. He'll try to make that five of six when he takes on the Angels in his next scheduled start Wednesday.

Ramirez dominated the Orioles on Saturday, tossing seven shutout innings and giving up three hits and a walk, striking out seven, to pick up his third win of the season.
It was easily Ramirez's best start of the season to date, and a nice rebound from an ugly last outing against the A's. His ERA is still an unsightly 5.53, but he'll have a solid chance of lowering it further in his next turn, on Thursday in Seattle.

Ramirez struggled again in Sunday's loss to the Athletics, giving up five runs and as many walks in 6.0 innings.
Ramirez had seemed to turn a corner as a reliever and occasional starter before Sunday, registering a 2.25 ERA and .138 batting average against if you don't count his disastrous first two appearances. Sunday's lack of control seems to cement the idea that his place should only be in the bullpen going forward if the Rays can help it.

Ramirez gave up three runs on two hits across five innings in Tuesday's win over Atlanta.
Ramirez only made it through five innings but he did just enough to earn the win which was his second of the spring. He walked two batters and struck out five to bring his record to 2-1 through four starts. Ramirez holds a 6.44 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP.
Mon May 18 201513:32Despite prior speculation start would be skipped
Despite prior speculation his start would be skipped, Ramirez will indeed get the start for the Rays Tuesday, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The Rays must have more faith in Ramirez and his 6.66 ERA than previously thought. It's at least encouraging that the 25-year-old was strong in his last start with five scoreless innings and that his FIP is 3.93, almost three runs under his actual results.

Ramirez will likely have his turn in the rotation skipped due to Tampa Bay's day off Monday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Although his last start was very encouraging, it's hard to blame the Rays for avoiding the starter with the 6.66 ERA when they can. Ramirez's next start will likely fall on Saturday with the rest of the rotation pitching on normal rest.
Fri May 15 201511:11Ramirez pitched five scoreless innings in Thursday's start again...
Ramirez pitched five scoreless innings in Thursday's start against the Yankees, giving up just one hit while walking two and striking out four.
Ramirez earned his first win of the season on Thursday, which should secure another opportunity the next time around. He's been brutal up to this point, and still holds an ERA of 6.66, but this start was definitely encouraging.
