Van Slyke seems likely to be in the lineup against most left-handers again in 2015, but with a still-crowded outfield situation, his playing time will continue to be sporadic.
Van Slyke batted a stellar .315/.415/.630 in 108 at-bats versus southpaws and an acceptable .279/.354/.413 against right-handers. Still, barring injuries, he's probably looking at a shade over 200 at-bats this year.

Van Slyke will start in left field and bat fifth Wednesday against the Diamondbacks.
This typically wouldn't be worth reporting, but Van Slyke is not only killing lefties this season (.272/.412/.630), he's absolutely abusing Miley, with three home runs, three doubles and two walks in just 11 plate appearances against the Diamondbacks' southpaw in 2014. This is definitely a prime opportunity to get Van Slyke in your daily league lineups.
Sat Jul 5 201400:16Van Slyke launches three-run HR vs. Rockies
Scott Van Slyke went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer Friday against the Rockies.
Van Slyke hit his first six home runs this season off southpaws, but each of his last two homers have been against right-handers. Still, we like him best in fantasy leagues in matchups against left-handed starters. It's worth noting that the Rockies will start Jorge De La Rosa and Yohan Flande in the next two games.
