Ricky Romero's first start following the All-Star break will be Saturday against the Yankees.

Ricky Romero has been added as a replacement to the AL All-Star team.
Romero will replace Jon Lester, who is on the disabled list with a strained lat muscle, who replaced Felix Hernandez, who can't be on the roster because he started Sunday's game for the Mariners. Got that? Romero is a deserving candidate, finishing the first half 7-8 with a 3.09 ERA and 1.23 WHIP.

Thu May 5 201114:49Romero (oblique) throws off flat grond
Ricky Romero (oblique) threw off flat ground Thursday morning and is tentatively scheduled to start Saturday against the Tigers.
Romero was originally scheduled to start Thursday against the Rays, but was pushed back due to a strained left oblique muscle suffered during his last start against the Yankees. "The good thing is my arm has been feeling great," said Romero. "Everything else feels good, and the only thing that worries you is obviously that oblique, and you never know with those things. But according to me, according to them, I should be good for Saturday and hopefully it continues to progress."
