Johnson missed Sunday's practice for personal reasons, leaving his status for Monday's game against the Clippers unknown, The Record reports.

Johnson will likely be a game-time decision for Monday's contest while further news should be released after the morning shootaround. If he's unable to play, Alan Anderson would have a chance to see an increased role against the Clippers.

Johnson scored 17 points (8-16 FG, 1-5 3Pt) with four rebounds and three assists in 46 minutes during Friday's OT loss to the Raptors.

The rest provided by Monday's postponement seems to have provided Johnson with a spark, and he's scored 43 points on 18-for-35 shooting in the two games since. Given his age and lingering knee tendinitis, however, don't expect him to be able to keep up this hot streak for long.

This strategy bodes well for owners of Johnson in the short term, although Johnson's long-term viability is in serious question.

The 33-year-old Johnson has been playing heavy minutes (only fewer than 31 minutes once and 36 or more five times). Over his last five, he is averaging 15.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists. He is a steady source of fantasy goodness and should remain in lineups.

The veteran guard posted a fairly typical line in the Nets' opener. With Paul Pierce now in Washington, Johnson might just see an uptick in his scoring this season, but don't expect a huge jump in his production.
