Sat Dec 18 201021:57Amundson to start on Sat for Biedrins (foot)
Louis Amundson will start for injured Andris Biedrins (foot) on Saturday against the Blazers.
The Blazers are very banged up and will be running with a small lineup, so the Warriors' lack of size won't hurt as bad tonight. This will be a good opportunity for Amundson to essentially rehearse for owners, as nobody really knows what he's capable of with decent minutes.

Tue Dec 14 201001:38Amundson plays just seven minutes
Louis Amundson played just seven minutes on Monday, with only two rebounds to his credit.
Had he returned from injury and been semi-productive and consistent he'd be worth watching. He's going backward in his development now, though, and owners can wait until he shows us something before paying attention to him.
Sat Dec 11 201003:48Amundson socres eight points w/ five rebs
Louis Amundson played 20 minutes off the bench on Friday, scoring eight points on 2-of-5 shooting with five rebounds and one assist.
He hasn't done anything in his three games back to suggest picking him up, but it's still a bit early to write him off. He could emerge with some value in deeper leagues in the Warriors' fantasy friendly system.
Wed Dec 8 201023:57Amundson getting better
Louis Amundson, in his second game back from injuries, scored six points while pulling down five rebounds.
He could cut out a big man role off the bench and be a factor this season. Don't pick him up yet, but if he started to hit 25 minutes a night he could put up solid rebounding numbers.
Wed Dec 8 201000:32Amundson scores four points in debut
Louis Amundson (back, finger) returned to action and made his Warriors debut on Tuesday, scoring four points on 2-of-4 shooting with one rebound and two blocks in 17 minutes off the bench.
Don't read into this performance too much, as anybody coming off that much time away from live basketball is going to need time to get up to speed. Consider him a deep league stash for now, and hope that he can become a product of the Warriors' fantasy friendly ways.
Tue Dec 7 201019:21Amundson to debut on Tuesday vs. Mavs
Louis Amundson will make his Warriors debut on Tuesday after missing the entire year to back and finger injuries.
He will try to make his mark as the first big man off the bench, and only has Brandan Wright and Dan Gadzuric standing in his way, so his chances are good to scoop it right up. Deep league owners should be looking at him as a roster stash for the time-being.

Sat Dec 4 201012:13Amundson (finger) could play in 7-to-10 days
Louis Amundson (finger) is practicing with the Warriors and hopes to return in "a week to 10 days."
Amundson may be forced to push back that timetable, but owners in deep leagues may want to think about stashing him away. He'll likely be the first Warriors' big man off the bench, and could have solid value if Andris Biedrins or David Lee get injured.

Fri Nov 19 201018:08Lou Amundson still out indefinitely
Warriors big man Louis Amundson has had the splint on his right hand removed but there is still no timetable for his return.
Amundson wasn't allowed to do conditioning work, and is therefore out of shape, and he "can't really catch a ball...[because] any impact to the hand is still sensitive." He has screws in his finger which won't come out until after the season, if they come out at all.
Wed Nov 17 201010:51Amundson still recovering
Lou Amundson (finger) is awaiting X-ray results before establishing a target date for his return.
Amundson doesn't sound close. He was expected to miss 6-8 weeks after injuring his finger on Oct. 18, so he likely has at least two more weeks to go. It's a shame, because he would have had a major role while David Lee (elbow) is out. Instead, that power forward spot in Golden State has become a wasteland.

Sun Oct 24 201017:54Louis Amundson out another 4-6 weeks
Warriors big man Louis Amundson is expected to miss another 4-6 weeks after having surgery on his right index finger.
This aligns with the original timetable for his return, and fantasy owners should leave him on the scrap heap.

Tue Oct 19 201000:56Amundson undergoes surgery on finger
Louis Amundson underwent surgery on his right index finger on Monday and there is no timetable for his return.
He's much, much more valuable to the Warriors than he is in fantasy leagues, as he was expected to help change their defensive identity. If anything, the value that he had by making the Warriors a less inviting fantasy matchup will be greater than any value he had himself.

Sun Oct 17 201016:56Amundson needs surgery on broken finger
Matt Steinmetz of CSNBayArea.com reports that Warriors backup power forward/center Louis Amundson needs surgery on his broken right index finger.
Amundson had just made his preseason debut on Saturday after recovering from a back ailment, but this news means that he won't be available for quite some time. (Not that any fantasy owner should have been allocating a roster spot for the reserve big man anywhow.)

Sun Oct 17 201004:47Amundson makes Warriors debut vs. POR
Louis Amundson (back) made his Warriors debut in Saturday's preseason game against the Blazers, and logged nine minutes with three points and a rebound.
He's not nearly valuable enough in fantasy leagues to split hairs over his readiness for the season, but he will provide a much-needed defensive and rebounding presence for the Warriors.
Tue Oct 12 201006:04Amundson (back) does 5-on-5 work Monday
Louis Amundson did some 5-on-5 work for the first time since injuring his back on Monday.
The Warriors are playing it safe with their offseason free agent acquisition, and by all indications he'll be ready for the start of the season. His backup role isn't expected to be a factor in most fantasy leagues.

Sat Oct 9 201003:33Amundson misses Friday's game due to back
Newly acquired Louis Amundson missed Friday's game due to a gimpy back, and while the injury does not appear to be serious there is no timetable for his return.
Amundson has to contend for backup minutes with Brandan Wright, who is coming off a lost season due to injury, and Vladimir Radmanovic, who may or may not actually be wanted on the team by management. He should be able to earn a role off the bench, but his value will be limited in fantasy.
Thu Sep 30 201019:06Amundson's back causing him problems in camp
Louis Amundson has been limited in training camp by a gimpy back.
He's specifically got lower back stiffness and missed Thursday's practice. Hopefully this is a temporary issue and he'll be ready for the preseason, where he'll battle with Brandan Wright for the back up power forward job.

Mon Sep 13 201010:49Warriors agree on two-year deal w/ Amundson
The Warriors have reportedly agreed with Louis Amundson on a two-year, $4.7 million contract.
The second year will be a player's option, and this seems like a fair market-value deal for the blue-collar power forward. Anything can happen with the Warriors (especially while Don Nelson is coaching) but it's unlikely that Amundson will have reliable fantasy value.

Thu Sep 9 201010:44Amundson considering Hornets, four others
Louis Amundson, a free agent big man, is drawing interest from the Hornets, along with four other teams as training camp approaches.
The Warriors, Pacers, Raptors and Bobcats are also in the hunt for his services. Amundson is a talented big man who could emerge with some late fantasy value if he lands in the right situation. And with Josh McRoberts and an unheatlthy Tyler Hansbrough manning the power forward slot in Indy, the Pacers look like an ideal location for Amundson.

Tue Sep 7 201023:48Hornets may be favorites to sign Amundson
Newsday reports that the Hornets "appear to be the front-runner" to sign free agent PF Louis Amundson.
Amundson, who has also been pursued by the Pacers and Warriors, is looking for considerably more than the veteran's minimum. He will most likely have negligible fantasy appeal in a bench role this season, regardless of where he's playing.

Tue Aug 24 201017:28Lou Amundson expected to sign soon
Free agent PF Louis Amundson is expected to decide this week between the Hornets, Warriors or Pacers.
"We're getting close to doing something," said his agent, Mark Bartelstein. "I think we'll get something done with Louis this week." Amundson is a solid backup big man, but even if he sings with Indiana (which needs a PF) he's not a lock to have fantasy value.
