Speights scored 13 points off the bench in Tuesday night's win over the Clippers. He's scored 25 the past two games.

In both games, the Warriors played without Draymond Green (shin) and they may also rest him Thursday against Phoenix. With Golden State having clinched the top spot in the Western Conference, Speights, who's come down some in terms of production from those heady days of December and January, is expected to see a boost in playing time over the final few weeks.

Speights scored 16 points (6-9 FG, 4-4 FT) with five rebounds and three assists in just 14 minutes off the bench Monday.

It's his best scoring performance in a month, but even in a blowout win Speights didn't see enough court time to make a him a consistent fantasy asset.

Speights scored nine points (2-8 FG, 5-5 FT) with two rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block in 17 minutes Saturday.

Speights returned from a one-game suspension stemming from a reckless driving charge and was able to approximate his season long average of 11.0 points. However, his form has tailed off after a red-hot start and now can only be considered in very deep leagues.

Speights has been suspended one game after pleading no contest to a reckless driving charge, NBA.com reports.

Speights will be held out Thursday against the Nuggets and is expected to return for Friday's contest. The reckless driving charge stemmed from an incident in Florida back in August.

Speights finished with 12 points (6-9 FG), five rebounds and two blocked shots in 18 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's win over the Pistons.

When Speights gets a good chunk of minutes, he seems to make good use and put up some points. The problem is he doesn't consistently get those minutes. Over his last four games, his minutes have ranged anywhere from three to 18, so without an increase in consistency, his fantasy value will remain limited.

Speights pleaded no contest to reduced charges stemming from an arrest in Tampa and charged with suspicion of DUI last August, CSN Bay Area reports.

A plea agreement was reached and charges reduced to misdemeanor reckless driving, with Speights paying $903 in fines and court costs.

Speights did not get off the bench in Sunday night's win over Boston.

The Celtics ran out to a big first-half lead, forcing Warriors coach Steve Kerr to use his small-ball lineup for much of the final three quarters. Small ball typically means Draymond Green (6-foot-7) at center and limited minutes for the bigs. Speights, David Lee and Andrew Bogut played a combined 27 minutes Sunday.

Speights came off the bench for 17 points (8-13 FG, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds and three assists in 21 minutes during Tuesday's win over the Kings.

Speights isn't finding very consistent minutes, as they've ranged anywhere from eight to 21 over his last six games. In the three games during that span where he played over 20 minutes, he reached double figures in points, so it's clear his fantasy value depends heavily on his minutes. He's recorded eight rebounds in each of his last three games though, so he's stayed consistent in that category. With his minutes fluctuating so much, his fantasy value takes a hit.

Speights got the start Tuesday after Andrew Bogut was a late scratch due to flu-like symptoms. He finished with 10 points and eight rebounds in 21 minutes against the Bulls.

Speights' minutes have fluctuated lately, which has led to a fluctuation in his production. He's a good bet to get rebounds, but his scoring can be spotty at times. Also, the Warriors went wit smaller lineups against the Bulls, with David Lee putting up 24 points in 30 minutes.

Speights had 15 points (6-12 FG, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, and three assists in 20 minutes off the bench Saturday.

Speights returned to his role coming off the bench Saturday with Andrew Bogut getting the start. Still, Speights scored in double figures for the fourth time in five games. He has topped 20 minutes in each game over that span and appears to have secured a regular role for the Warriors whether he's starting or not.

Speights will in fact come off the bench Saturday at Houston, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

With Andrew Bogut back in the fold after a day of rest, Speights will return to a bench gig. In 28 games as a reserve this season, Speights has averaged 11.7 points (on 51 percent shooting), 5.1 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in 18 minutes.

Speights will start Saturday's game in Houston.

Despite the presence of Andrew Bogut, who rested Friday, Speights will remain the Warriors' starting center Saturday. In eight previous nods this season, Speights averaged 15.8 points (on 54 percent shooting), 5.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 0.8 blocks in 24 minutes.

Speights started in place of Andrew Bogut (rest) against the Thunder Friday. He scored 20 points (9-16 FG, 2-2 FT) and added seven rebounds, four assists, and one steal in 28 minutes.

It was a solid performance for Speights, who has emerged as a reliable option any time he can be assured of minutes. This season, Speights is averaging 24.4 points, 10 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.3 blocks per 36 minutes. He is a solid flier pickup or daily games play any time he looks in line for extra court time.

Speights will start in place of Andrew Bogut (rest) against the Thunder on Friday, The San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Speights tends to excel when given a significant amount of minutes and he'll be an enticing option because of his cheap price in daily competitions. However he's expected to move back to a role off the bench against the Rockets on Saturday since Bogut is only resting because the Warriors have four games over the next five days.

Speights came off the bench Tuesday night as Andrew Bogut (knee) returned to the starting lineup. He scored 10 points (4-of-10 FG, 1-of-1 3Pt, 1-of-2 FT) with one rebound and one blocked shot in a win over the Jazz.

Speights had filled in at center while Bogut was nursing a sore knee. While no longer a starter, Speights will remain a significant part of the Golden State rotation.

Speights, who has been starting at center with both Andrew Bogut and Festus Ezeli sidelined by injury, will head back to the bench now that Bogut is no longer on a minutes restriction, CSN Bay Area reports.

Head coach Steve Kerr didn't set an exact date for the switch, but did mention that it would "happen pretty soon." It could happen as early as Tuesday against Utah.

Speights will return his starting center job Wednesday against the Pacers, despite the return of Andrew Bogut.

Speights had been filling in at center while Bogut dealt with a knee injury, but it looks like the Warriors will ease Bogut in to action, keeping Speights as the starter for the time being. The two will likely switch roles when Bogut gets closer to full strength, however. Speights scored just six points in Monday's contest, but has been pretty effective of late, posting scoring totals of 23 and 26 prior to that game.

Speights scored 26 points (12-of-19 FG, 2-of-2 FT) with eight rebounds in Friday night's win over Toronto. He has 49 points on 21-of-32 shooting the last two games.

Speights' two-game resurgence follows a stretch of eight contests in which he was merely adequate (48 FG percent, 10.1 ppg) and the Warriors picked up three of their five losses this season. His season of redemption has been a big part of Golden State's success.

Speights scored a team-high 23 points (9-of-13 FG, 5-of-6 FT) with four rebounds, four assists and four blocked shots in 24 minutes in Tuesday night's win over Philadelphia.

Speights, whose spectacular play in late November has dropped to merely respectable of late, remains a big part of the rotation. With injuries to Andrew Bogut (knee) and Festus Ezeli (ankle) creating an opening at center, Speights continues to get between 20 and 25 minutes a night.

Speights will get another start at center Saturday against Minnesota, the San Francisco Chronicle's Rusty Simmons reports.
