Mon Jun 2 201423:39Revere has two hits, run scored in loss
Ben Revere went 2-for-4 with a run scored Monday in a loss to the Mets.
Revere has now hit safely in eight straight games and is batting .289 on the year. We won't complain from a fantasy perspective, but his .303 on-base percentage is not ideal out of the leadoff spot. He has walked just four times 199 plate appearances. No qualified batter has a lower walk percentage.

Tue May 27 201423:48Revere ends 1,565 PA homerless streak vs. COL
Ben Revere went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Rockies.
Revere entered the game homerless in 1,562 plate appearances and went 0-for-3 before hitting his first career home run in the seventh inning off of Boone Logan. Certainly an ignominious feat. Despite the home run, Revere remains far away from respectability at the top of the Phillies' lineup, slashing .288/.301/.337 with 12 stolen bases.

Sat May 24 201417:54Revere goes 4-for-4 in Phillies' win over LAD
Ben Revere went 4-for-4 with an RBI in the Phillies' defeat of the Dodgers on Saturday afternoon.
Revere had three singles and a double. It was a timely breakout for the 26-year-old speedster, who has been in and out of the Philadelphia starting lineup because of a lack of overall production at the plate. He is still batting just .289/.303/.322 on the season and doesn't provide much fantasy value beyond his base-stealing.

Thu May 22 201409:45Ben Revere back in Phillies' lineup Thursday
Ben Revere is back in the Phillies' starting lineup on Thursday afternoon against the Marlins.
It's his first start since last Wednesday. Some of that absence was due to a stomach virus, but most of it was related to poor performance. Revere has 12 stolen bases in 14 attempts this season, but he's batting just .266/.282/.295 and has made some bad defensive blunders.

Wed May 21 201415:26Ben Revere sitting out again Wednesday
Ben Revere is not in the Phillies' lineup for the fifth straight game Wednesday.
Revere missed the first three of those games due to a stomach virus, but his absence from the lineup the last two days appears to be a manager's decision. Dennis Deitch of the Delaware County Daily Times wonder is it could be Revere who is sent down to the minors on Saturday when the team needs a fifth starter. The speedster is hitting just .268/.284/.297 this season and has been inconsistent on defense. Tony Gwynn Jr. is in center field again Wednesday.

Tue May 20 201415:42Ben Revere remains out of PHI lineup Tues.
Ben Revere is not in the Phillies' lineup Tuesday.
Revere sat out all weekend with a stomach virus, but his absence Tuesday night against the Marlins appears to be a straight benching. The 26-year-old speedster is batting just .268/.284/.297 in 36 games this season and remains homerless in 1,542 career major league plate appearances. Tony Gwynn Jr. will start in center field against Miami right-hander Anthony DeSclafani.

Wed May 14 201416:36Ben Revere goes hitless vs. Angels
Ben Revere went 0-for-4 at the plate in Wednesday's loss to the Angels.
Revere wasn't the only one who struggled, as the Phillies managed just five hits off of Garrett Richards and the Angels' bullpen. The outfielder is hitting a respectable .268 with 12 stolen bases this season, so he's pretty much giving fantasy owners what they expected. However, he's drawn only three walks and has a .284 OBP, making him a poor fit for the leadoff spot.

He's just getting a breather. Tony Gwynn Jr. is handling center field in Revere's place. Carlos Ruiz is also sitting out, with Wil Nieves covering the catching duties.

Sun Apr 27 201420:01Revere steals ninth base in win over D'backs
Ben Revere went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored against the Diamondbacks on Sunday.
The stolen base was Revere's ninth with just one caught stealing thus far. He's been on fire at the plate of late, notching at least two hits in six of his last seven games. The multi-hit onslaught has raised Revere's average to .312 through 23 games.

Wed Apr 23 201402:00Revere collects 4 hits in win vs. the Dodgers
Ben Revere went 4-for-5 with a run scored and a steal in a 10-inning win versus the Dodgers on Tuesday.
All four hits were singles, which is par for the course with Revere. The speedy but punchless outfielder is now slashing .300/.319/.329 through 18 games, a pinch above his career averages. Revere has never hit an MLB homer, but he's sixth in the NL with six steals after swiping 96 the past three seasons.

Mon Apr 21 201418:30Ben Revere not in Phillies' lineup
Ben Revere is not in the Phillies' lineup Monday.
He had started six straight after a three-game streak where Tony Gwynn Jr. was in center field, but Gwynn is back in there tonight. Revere is batting just .262/.284/.292 with five steals this season.

Thu Apr 17 201415:54Revere pushes Phillies past Braves
Ben Revere went 3-for-4 with a go-ahead RBI single in a 1-0 win over the Braves on Thursday.
Revere was hitless over his last 12 at-bats coming into Thursday's action. His RBI single off Alex Wood in the bottom of the eighth inning was the only offense the Phillies would need. The 25-year-old speedster is hitting .288 (15-for-52) through 14 games and is 5-for-6 in stolen base attempts.

Tue Apr 15 201414:46Revere (rib) back in Phillies' lineup Tuesday
Ben Revere (rib) is back in the Phillies' starting lineup Tuesday against the Braves.
Revere has been limited to pinch-hitting duties since Friday due to a sore rib, but he's ready to go. It's safe to put him back in your fantasy lineup, but be sure to watch the weather forecast in Philadelphia.

Mon Apr 14 201418:32Ben Revere (rib) still out Monday
Ben Revere (rib) remained out of the Phillies' lineup Monday.
Revere has missed four straight starts with an injured rib, though he has entered as a pinch-hitter in the last three contests. The Phillies are also content with keeping Tony Gwynn Jr.'s hot bat in the lineup. Gwynn is again in center field and leading off for the Phils. Revere remains day-to-day.

Sun Apr 13 201410:03Ben Revere (rib) remains out of lineup Sunday
Ben Revere (rib) remained out of the Phillies' lineup on Sunday.
Revere has now missed all three starts for the weekend series against the Marlins after he injured a rib while making a diving catch Wednesday. There's been no indication to this point that it's more than a day-to-day injury. Tony Gwynn Jr. is getting another start in center field Sunday. Carlos Ruiz is also sitting out Sunday, with Wil Nieves filling in behind the plate.

Sat Apr 12 201414:41Ben Revere remains out of lineup on Saturday
Ben Revere is not in the Phillies starting lineup for the second consecutive day on Saturday.
Tony Gwynn Jr. is once again starting in his spot and leading off for the Phillies. It remains unclear if there is an underlying injury, or if the two day rest has anything to do with Revere fanning three times in Thursday's game.
