Evans (illness) battled through an illness in Wednesday's win over the Nets, finishing with 15 points (5-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT), four rebounds, 11 assists, a steal and two blocked shots in 38 minutes.
Evans didn't seem to struggle at all with the sickness and he was able to finish a full 38 minutes. He should be healthy and in the lineup moving forward, so continue to use him for his points, three-pointers, assists and steals. This game marked his third double-double over his last four games.
Wed Feb 25 201519:59Tyreke Evans: (Illness) Starting Wednesday
Evans (illness) will start Wednesday in New Orleans.
Evans continues to deal with the illness that initially afflicted him during Monday's game against the Raptors. He proceeded to tally 13 points (5-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 12 assists, four rebounds, one steal, and one block in 34 minutes. With only one other true point guard, Norris Cole, on the roster, Evans should again receive a significant workload.

Evans (illness) will play Wednesday against Brooklyn, though he admitted he's still not 100 percent. "I'm not 100 percent yet, but I'm getting there," Evans said. "I feel better today. Hopefully I can help us out more and have my energy back. We'll see how it goes. I couldn't breathe (at times during Monday's game) and was having chest pains. They gave me some medicine and I definitely felt better this morning, (but) I haven't really run up and down to see how it feels yet."
Evans fell ill prior to Monday's game against Toronto, but he played through the sickness to finish with 13 points and 12 assists in 34 minutes. He'll be heavily relied upon again Wednesday, as well as for the foreseeable future, as the Pelicans released a statement revealing Jrue Holiday (leg) will miss at least another couple of weeks with a stress reaction injury. That means Evans will continue to fill in for Holiday with Norris Cole as the only other healthy, true point guard on the roster.
Mon Feb 23 201522:58Evans put up 13 points
Evans put up 13 points, four rebounds, 12 assists, one steal, and one block in 34 minutes against the Raptors on Monday despite dealing with an illness, Daniel Sallerson of the Pelicans reports.
Evans managed to put an all-around effort together even though he had been sick since Monday's morning shootaround. Despite his ability to play through the illness, he should be considered day-to-day moving forward just in case his condition gets worse ahead of Wednesday's game against the Nets.

Evans scored 18 points (7-17 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with 10 assists, seven rebounds, a steal and a block in 38 minutes during Monday's loss to the Jazz.
Evans and Eric Gordon combined for exactly half of the Pelicans' scoring, as the team looked for alternate offensive options with Anthony Davis (shoulder) sidelined. It's his fifth double-double in his last nine games, and with the club having no timetable yet on Jrue Holiday's return from a stress fracture, Evans should remain productive for the foreseeable future.

Evans scored 22 points (8-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-5 FT) to go along with 10 rebounds, 16 assists, one steal and one block in 42 minutes during the Pelicans' 116-113 win versus the Thunder on Friday.
He has been on an absolute tear lately, and as long as Jrue Holiday (leg) remains out Evans will likely be forced to continue taking on the lion's share of play-making responsibilities for the Pelicans.

Evans (illness) scored 25 points (11-22 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT) with six rebounds, two assists and a steal in 38 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Nuggets.
After racking up 24 assists over his previous two games, Evans focused on his scoring on Wednesday and let Eric Gordon handle the distribution duties. Evans has now scored 20 or more points in four of his last seven games, but if Anthony Davis' groin injury proves to be serious, look for him to take on a much bigger role in the Pelicans' offense.
Wed Jan 28 201519:44Tyreke Evans: (Illness) Starting Wednesday
Evans (illness) will play and start Wednesday against the Nuggets, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Despite coming down with flu-like symptoms, Evans will play his typical role of distributor with Jrue Holiday (leg) out of commission. In eight starts since Holiday went down, Evans is averaging 17.6 points (on 48 percent shooting), 7.4 assists, 4.4 rebounds, one steal, and one three-pointer in 36 minutes.

Evans (illness) is listed as probable for Wednesday's game against Denver.
Evans is experiencing flu-like symptoms, but unless his condition goes downhill this afternoon, he should be expected to play Wednesday night. Since taking over the starting point guard job in the absence of Jrue Holiday (leg), Evans' numbers have been on the rise, and he's averaging 17.9 points, 6.1 assists and 5.4 rebounds in January.

Evans scored 24 points (11-19 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), to go with 12 assists, two rebounds, and a steal in 42 minutes on Sunday.
Evans has been thriving since Jrue Holiday went down with a leg injury. Over the past five games he's averaging 21.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game and should continue to play this well with an expanded role.

Evans made his second straight start at point guard against the Sixers on Friday and was able to register eight points (3-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), two rebounds, six assists, one steal, and two blocks in 32 minutes.
Evans ended with a single-digit point total for just his sixth game out of 38 this season. The switch over to point guard probably isn't to blame since he's excelled at that position before, even just Wednesday, rather it was just a run-of-the-mill poor outing for Evans. With Holiday's return just around the corner, expect Evans to slot back to his normal role as a backup point guard who spends more time at shooting guard and small forward when Holiday is on the court.
Fri Jan 16 201513:31Evans said that he will be starting Friday's game against Sixers
Evans said that he will be starting Friday's game against the Sixers, although that notion is still in question since Jrue Holiday (ankle) has yet to be ruled out, the Times-Picayune reports.
Evans started at point guard in place of Holiday on Wednesday against the Pistons and Evans would be the probable starter if Holiday were to sit once again. Although this situation won't be made clear until the Pelicans dole out their official inactive list ahead of Friday's tipoff.

Evans started in place of the injured Jrue Holiday (leg) on Wednesday and scored 18 points (6-14 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-8 FT) with eight rebounds, nine assists, one block and one steal in 40 minutes against the Pistons.
Evans is a great source of points, rebounds and assists making him a handy player in all leagues. However, his valued is weighed down by his inefficiency as highlighted again in this game.

Evans scored 19 points (7-15 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT) to go along with eight rebounds and three assists in 35 minutes Monday against the Celtics.
Evans has not been slowed down at all by the return of Eric Gordon as he is averaging 17.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists in the four games since Gordon returned. He is a key part of the Pelicans whether he starts or comes off the bench, so continue to expect him to produce at a high level.

Evans came off the bench to score 21 points (7-15 FG, 7-10 FT) and add 10 rebounds, five assists, and a block in 33 minutes against the Grizzlies.
Evans' move to the bench was more about lineup optimization than it was a demotion for Evans. Evans played effectively the same amount of minutes that he was seeing as a starter, and he had his most productive game in weeks despite the move. One game is not enough to draw any firm conclusions from, but it appears as though Evans value will be mostly unchanged, despite coming off the bench.
Fri Jan 9 201519:24Evans will come off bench Friday
Evans will come off the bench Friday, the Times-Picayune's Nakia Hogan reports.
In a surprise move, Dante Cunningham will get the start at the three, as coach Monty Williams is searching for ways to keep only one of Eric Gordon and Tyreke Evans on the court as much as possible. It is not clear yet how much impact this will have on Evans' value, but it probably won't improve his value in any way.

Evans said he will play and start Wednesday but also noted that he's still not over his illness, John Reid of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Evans played through flu-like symptoms Monday, scoring 21 points to go with seven rebounds and four assists in 34 minutes off the bench. While he's not yet 100 percent, he'll start at small forward Wednesday and should not be on a minutes limit. Over his last eight games, Evans is averaging 18.0 points, 4.6 assists and 5.4 rebounds.

Evans (Illness) came off the bench to start Monday's game, but was on the floor to start the second half. He had 21 points (7-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, and three blocks in 34 minutes, but also turned the ball over six times.
Evans was in the starting lineup for the second half, so it looks like his bench role was short lived. Luke Babbitt, who got the nod over Evans, only logged five minutes on the floor and did not score a point. Expect Evans to continue to be in the starting rotation moving forward.
Mon Jan 5 201520:16Tyreke Evans: (Illness) Active Monday
Evans (illness) is active for Monday's contest against the Wizards.
Evans is probable to make an appearance Monday, but the starting five includes Luke Babbitt slotted in at small forward. If he takes the court, Evans will be attempting to extend his streak with double-digit points to eight contests, In the previous seven, he averaged 17.6 points (on 42 percent shooting), 5.1 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.7 steals in 34 minutes.
Mon Jan 5 201511:25Evans has illness and questionable for Monday's game
Evans has an illness and is questionable for Monday's game, the Times-Picayune's Nakia Hogan reports.
He has scored 20-plus points in three of the Pelicans' last four games, while also adding useful assist and steals totals. Should he miss Monday's game, Dante Cunningham and Jimmer Fredette could both see expanded roles.
