Evans didn't seem to struggle at all with the sickness and he was able to finish a full 38 minutes. He should be healthy and in the lineup moving forward, so continue to use him for his points, three-pointers, assists and steals. This game marked his third double-double over his last four games.

Evans continues to deal with the illness that initially afflicted him during Monday's game against the Raptors. That means Evans will continue to fill in for Holiday with Norris Cole as the only other healthy, true point guard on the roster.

Evans managed to put an all-around effort together even though he had been sick since Monday's morning shootaround. Despite his ability to play through the illness, he should be considered day-to-day moving forward just in case his condition gets worse ahead of Wednesday's game against the Nets.

Evans made his second straight start at point guard against the Sixers on Friday and was able to register eight points (3-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), two rebounds, six assists, one steal, and two blocks in 32 minutes.

Evans ended with a single-digit point total for just his sixth game out of 38 this season. The switch over to point guard probably isn't to blame since he's excelled at that position before, even just Wednesday, rather it was just a run-of-the-mill poor outing for Evans. With Holiday's return just around the corner, expect Evans to slot back to his normal role as a backup point guard who spends more time at shooting guard and small forward when Holiday is on the court.

Evans said that he will be starting Friday's game against the Sixers, although that notion is still in question since Jrue Holiday (ankle) has yet to be ruled out, the Times-Picayune reports.

Evans started at point guard in place of Holiday on Wednesday against the Pistons and Evans would be the probable starter if Holiday were to sit once again. Although this situation won't be made clear until the Pelicans dole out their official inactive list ahead of Friday's tipoff.

Evans is a great source of points, rebounds and assists making him a handy player in all leagues. However, his valued is weighed down by his inefficiency as highlighted again in this game.

Evans scored 19 points (7-15 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT) to go along with eight rebounds and three assists in 35 minutes Monday against the Celtics.

Evans has not been slowed down at all by the return of Eric Gordon as he is averaging 17.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists in the four games since Gordon returned. He is a key part of the Pelicans whether he starts or comes off the bench, so continue to expect him to produce at a high level.

Evans came off the bench to score 21 points (7-15 FG, 7-10 FT) and add 10 rebounds, five assists, and a block in 33 minutes against the Grizzlies.

Evans' move to the bench was more about lineup optimization than it was a demotion for Evans. Evans played effectively the same amount of minutes that he was seeing as a starter, and he had his most productive game in weeks despite the move. One game is not enough to draw any firm conclusions from, but it appears as though Evans value will be mostly unchanged, despite coming off the bench.

Evans will come off the bench Friday, the Times-Picayune's Nakia Hogan reports.

In a surprise move, Dante Cunningham will get the start at the three, as coach Monty Williams is searching for ways to keep only one of Eric Gordon and Tyreke Evans on the court as much as possible. It is not clear yet how much impact this will have on Evans' value, but it probably won't improve his value in any way.
