Tue Apr 8 201409:38Paul Pierce, Nets look to sweep Heat
Paul Pierce might score his 25,000th point on Tuesday night against the Heat, while the Nets would also pull off a season sweep over Miami with a win.
If Pierce scores 19 points tonight he'll become the 18th player to score 25,000 points, joining Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitzki and Kobe Bryant as the only active players in the club. And if that's not enough drama against his rival LeBron James tonight, the Nets could beat the Heat for the fourth time this season, completing a surprising sweep. The Nets have the best record in the East since Jan. 1 at 32-13 and sweeping the Heat could give them a mental edge entering the postseason. It won't be an easy task on the road in Miami, but Pierce appears to be a good bet to have a good game tonight.

Wed Apr 2 201422:58Paul Pierce scores just eight points
Paul Pierce made just 2-of-7 from the field for eight points during a 110-81 blowout loss to the Knicks on Wednesday, adding four boards, one assist, one steal and one turnover.
The Nets only had 11 assists as a team tonight to go with their 16 turnovers in one of their worst games of the season. They were only able to get 26 points in the paint and two fast-break points. Pierce has played well for the most part since the break and he should bounce back against the Pistons on Friday.

Tue Apr 1 201423:08Paul Pierce quiet as Nets topple visiting HOU
Paul Pierce had a quiet night vs. the Rockets, scoring four points on 2-of-4 shooting with six rebounds, one steal and two turnovers in 23 minutes.
Joe Johnson (32 points) and Shaun Livingston (17 points) were dominating their respective matchups, so Pierce and Deron Williams were content to pick their spots offensively. The Nets have now won a franchise-high 14 consecutive games at home, which doesn't bode well for the Pistons when they visit on Friday.

Fri Mar 28 201422:34Paul Pierce scores 17 points in first quarter
Paul Pierce scored 17 points in the opening quarter of Friday's victory vs. the Cavaliers, which he finished with 22 points, five 3-pointers, two rebounds, three assists and one steal in 20 minutes.
The Truth made 5-of-6 shots with all of his attempts coming from downtown, and he was a perfect 7-of-7 at the FT line. He's provided a steady stream of rebounds, 3-pointers and and steals this month, with a trickle of points and assists, and the 36-year-old hasn't missed a game since early December. His reliability and leadership, both on and off the court, are a big reason why Brooklyn has an 11-4 record since Kevin Garnett went down with back spasms.

Wed Mar 26 201421:46Paul Pierce quiet in loss to Bobcats
Paul Pierce hit just 3-of-7 shots for eight points, four rebounds, three assists, a steal and a 3-pointer in Wednesday's loss.
It could have been worse, as his lone 3-pointer came in overtime. Pierce had scored in double figures in three straight games, but never got it going tonight. He's a borderline fantasy starter on nights when you have options.

Tue Mar 25 201400:15Paul Pierce scores 24 points vs. Pelicans
Paul Pierce scored a team-high 24 points vs. the Pelicans on Monday with four boards, one assist, two steals, one block and four 3-pointers in 35 minutes.
The Nets were running out of bodies and tonight was Pierce's highest minute total since Jan. 10. Pierce has really rounded into form and it probably helps with Kevin Garnett (back) out and the Nets using him more as a stretch four. Keep him in your lineups.

Thu Mar 20 201400:08Paul Pierce struggles in win over Charlotte
Paul Pierce hit just 2-of-4 shots for seven points, five rebounds, zero assists, a steal, a block and a 3-pointer in 28 minutes on Wednesday.
Pierce looked tired tonight and since his 29-point explosion a week ago, has scored just 15, 10 and 7 points. The minutes are still there, so as long as he doesn't get a night off for rest (which he probably needs), he should bounce back soon.

Wed Mar 12 201423:42Paul Pierce scores 29 in tremendous win @ MIA
Paul Pierce turned in one of his best game in his Nets career on Wednesday during a 96-96 win at Miami, scoring 29 points with four boards, one assist, one steal and five 3-pointers on 9-of-12 from the field.
For the stat geeks out there, that's a ridiculous 95.6 effective field goal percentage. Pierce was sporting some kinesio tape on his injured right shoulder and it obviously did not hurt his game tonight. He's getting more 3-point shots these days and is stealing more, which has really helped his value. The Nets hold the five seed in the Eastern Conference and are playing like a different team from their disastrous November.

Paul Pierce (shoulder) played in Monday's win over the Raptors, scoring 15 points on 3-of-8 shooting (3-of-4 from deep, 6-of-8 from the line) with four rebounds, four steals and six turnovers in 30 minutes.
Pierce doesn't make it easy on anybody but he's putting up must-start numbers throughout the last month. Owners will just want to keep a close eye on our player news page for surprise DNPs and the like.

Mon Mar 10 201417:54Paul Pierce (right shoulder) will play on Mon
Paul Pierce (right shoulder) will play against the Raptors on Monday night.
He suffered a right shoulder injury against the Kings on Sunday in the first minute of action and the team ruled him out somewhat quickly. Perhaps they were just getting him ready for today's big game. Fantasy owners can throw him in their lineups for a three-game week.

Sun Mar 9 201418:25Paul Pierce out for game with sore shoulder
Paul Pierce is dealing with a sore right shoulder on Sunday and will not return.
His shoulder was bothering him on Friday night and he was able to play through it. Pierce and the Nets are on a back-to-back set, so there's certainly a chance he'll have to sit out on Monday vs. the Raptors. The Nets will look to Joe Johnson, Shaun Livingston, Marcus Thornton and Andrei Kirilenko to pick up the slack.

Sat Mar 8 201409:19Paul Pierce open to rejoining Celtics
Paul Pierce is open to rejoining the Celtics as a player or coach.
"Yeah, why not?" Pierce said. "Who knows what the future holds?" He suggested that he may open a business in Boston and his fondness for the city isn't in question, but it seems unlikely that the 36-year-old would sign with a rebuilding team for the 2014-15 season when he could, for instance, join Doc Rivers, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin in L.A. For now he'll just try to get healthy, as he's been playing through a painful shoulder stinger that has nagged at him for years.

Fri Feb 28 201402:03Paul Pierce scores 18 points in blowout win
Paul Pierce scored a game-high 18 points during Thursday's 112-89 blowout win, adding six boards, one assist and two 3-pointers in 22 minutes.
The Nuggets scored just eight points in the first quarter and this game was a little closer than the final score suggests thanks to Denver outscoring Brooklyn 33-23 in the fourth. Pierce shot 7-of-12 from the field tonight and made 50.0 percent of his shots in his previous 10, so he's back into another one of his patented grooves. The Nets have moved up to the sixth seed and may start to manage The Truth's minutes as the postseason approaches.

Thu Feb 27 201402:36Paul Pierce disappears in Nets ugly loss
Paul Pierce hit just 3-of-8 shots for six points and four rebounds in 24 minutes of Wednesday's ugly blowout loss to the Blazers.
Pierce had 25 points on Sunday, but never got it going tonight. In fact, none of his teammates did much of anything tonight and Jason Kidd played everyone in uniform, resulting in one of the ugliest fantasy box scores you'll ever see. Pierce will bounce back, but he's mixed good games with bad ones all season long and we see no reason why he won't continue to do so.

Mon Feb 24 201400:09Paul Pierce scores 25 points vs. Lakers
Paul Pierce scored 25 points with seven boards, four assists and four 3-pointers in 33 minutes against the Lakers on Monday.
He only scored 18 points combined in his previous two games and had some easy buckets thanks to a porous Lakers defense. In his previous 10 games, Pierce averaged 13.3 points, 4.4 boards, 1.3 assists and 1.4 steals on 48.1 percent from the field, which serves as a fair expectation for his value the rest of the way.

Sun Feb 23 201401:17Paul Pierce goes 3-of-11 in loss to Warriors
Paul Pierce hit just 3-of-11 shots for 11 points, three rebounds, zero assists, and was 0-for-5 from downtown in Saturday's loss to the Warriors.
Pierce scored 25 points on 9-of-11 shooting with five 3-pointers on Feb. 12, but hasn't done much since then. In his last three games he's hit just 10-of-30 shots and is averaging 11.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.0 steals and 1.0 3-pointers. He'll get hot again soon, but is far from reliable in the Nets lineup.

Thu Feb 20 201401:20Paul Pierce not bothered by leg injury
Paul Pierce returned after an apparent leg injury on Wednesday at Utah, finishing with seven points, six boards, one assist and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes.
He limped to the locker room under his own power and the injury does not look serious based on how he didn't have a noticeable limp in the fourth quarter. Pierce has been ripping it up in February before tonight, averaging 15.0 points, 4.3 boards, 1.4 assists, 1.7 steals, 0.6 blocks and 1.7 triples in just 25.0 minutes. Those numbers are not sustainable with that allotment of playing time.

Wed Feb 19 201422:35Paul Pierce returns from injury in second hal
Paul Pierce returned from a left leg injury in the second half of Wednesday's game against the Jazz.
He limped back to the locker room under his own power and was accompanied by the team trainer. Pierce looks fine and was active in the first few minutes back on the court. The team should have an update on what specifically bothered The Truth in the post-game.
