Fri Mar 28 201411:51Ray Allen out Friday and likely Saturday
Ray Allen (illness) will miss Friday's game against Detroit and will likely miss Saturday's game against Milwaukee.
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said Allen and his family were "wiped out" by a stomach bug and that Allen did not travel with the team to Detroit. Spoelstra added that Allen is "not likely" for Saturday's game against Milwaukee so his fantasy owners should be prepared to be without the sharpshooter all weekend. With Dwyane Wade already a game-time decision for Friday, Toney Douglas could make for a sneaky play against the Pistons.

Thu Mar 27 201417:08Ray Allen (virus) expected out on Friday
Ray Allen (virus) isn't expected to join the Heat for Friday's game in Detroit.
He stayed in Miami and it seems unlikely that he'll meet the team for Saturday's road game vs. the Bucks, but for now he should be considered questionable. If he misses both games his absence could be magnified, since Dwyane Wade is no lock to play in back-to-back contests.

Wed Mar 26 201418:50Ray Allen will not play vs. Pacers on Wed.
Ray Allen (illness) will not play against against the Pacers on Wednesday.
The Heat will have Dwyane Wade back tonight, so Allen isn't needed as much as he has been. His illness kept him out of shootaround and he should be ready for the weekend.

Wed Mar 26 201412:00Ray Allen (illness) doubtful vs. Pacers
Ray Allen is doubtful for Wednesday's game vs. the Pacers due to a stomach virus.
Allen is averaging 11.9 points in 28 minutes per game this month, frequently stepping into a bigger role with Dwyane Wade in and out of the lineup, and he could probably use a day to rest anyway. Toney Douglas should assume most of the minutes Allen leaves behind at SG, assuming the veteran doesn't recover in time for tip-off.

Sat Mar 22 201401:27Allen scores 18 points off the bench
Ray Allen scored 18 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 7-of-14 shots (including two threes) with four rebounds and four assists in 31 minutes.
Allen is probably at risk of random rest like the rest of the bunch, but his minutes have been managed judiciously all season and the Heat may also use this time to get him going in advance of the playoffs. He's rolling at a mid-to-late round level right now and with an upcoming 4-4-4 schedule he should be in all lineups until further notice.

Tue Mar 18 201422:13Ray Allen cools off in win over Cavs
Ray Allen hit 5-of-13 shots and 2-of-9 3-pointers for 14 points, three rebounds and two assists in Tuesday's win over the Cavs.
He scored 25 and 22 points in each of his previous two games, and would have had another big game tonight had his shot been falling. He was getting open looks, but they just weren't going down.

Sun Mar 16 201418:44Ray Allen burns Rockets, scores 25 points
Ray Allen turned back the clock on Sunday vs. the Rockets with 25 points, one rebound and four 3-pointers on 7-of-11 shooting in 29 minutes.
He hit a huge three late in the game which basically served as the dagger to give Miami the win. Allen also just put up 22 points on Friday night on 7-of-9 shooting, so he's put up an absurd 92.5 effective field goal percentage in his last two. He's one of the best shooter in the history of the game and said in a post-game interview on ABC that he doesn't even know how he gets open for 3-pointers.

Sat Mar 15 201402:11Ray Allen sighting in MIA with 22-point game
Ray Allen scored 22 points on 7-of-9 shooting (including five threes) with four rebounds and one steal in 29 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Allen quietly returns low-end 14-team value every night he's on the court but it rarely hits the radar like this. If anything the Heat will pull back on his workload in advance of the playoffs, so owners should consider his year-long value as his baseline buoyed by the Heat's 4-4-4-4 remaining schedule.

Tue Jan 21 201423:23Ray Allen scores seven in start for Wade
Ray Allen started at shooting guard again with Dwyane Wade getting another night off on Tuesday, finishing with seven points, four rebounds, four assists and a 3-pointer on 3-of-7 shooting.
It's hard to say when Wade will be ready to go again, as he's missed three straight games with a sore knee, and Allen should be a decent deep-league option if Wade continues to miss games.

Mon Jan 20 201422:14Ray Allen makes all five attempts from field
Ray Allen made all five attempts from the floor in a start against the Hawks on Monday for 14 points with seven boards, three assists, one steal, one block and four 3-pointers in 36 minutes.
It was his second consecutive start with Dwyane Wade sitting out his second consecutive game today. Allen has been very useful in fantasy leagues during his previous five starts, averaging 13.4 points, 4.2 boards, 1.6 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.0 triples, but this was obviously his best game yet.

Sat Jan 18 201423:11Ray Allen scores 12 points in start on Sat.
Ray Allen started at shooting guard on Saturday with 12 points, nine boards, one assist and one 3-pointer in 40 minutes.
Dwyane Wade sat out due to rest and this is nothing new for the Heat to put Allen in the starting lineup. They didn't start him at all last season, but tonight was his fifth start of 2013-14. The Heat have a back-to-back coming up on Monday and Tuesday, so Allen could be useful in one of those two games -- most likely Tuesday.

Sat Jan 18 201418:15Ray Allen will start at SG for Dwyane Wade
Ray Allen will start at SG in place of Dwyane Wade on Saturday.
Wade is getting a day of rest in the second of Miami's back-to-back set, which gives Allen his fifth start of the season. The veteran is averaging 13.8 points in those contests but he's an abysmal 9-of-52 from the field in January, so hopefully he can get on track vs. a Bobcats team which allows opponents to shoot 37.9 percent from downtown (27th in the league).

Sat Jan 11 201400:04Shuttleworth can't find the range vs. Nets
Jesus Shuttlesworth didn't have much game in Friday's double-overtime loss to the Nets, hitting just 2-of-14 shots for nine points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal in 43 minutes.
Spike Lee may want to think twice about that sequel if Allen is going to play like this, but there isn't any real change in fantasy value here. The low-end asset in standard leagues wore the name Shuttlesworth on the back of his jersey as a part of the Heat's nickname promotion, which was different and fun (but it wasn't that fun).

Tue Dec 31 201300:16Allen (knee) plays and scores 13 points
Ray Allen (knee) played on Monday and scored 13 points with seven rebounds and two threes in 31 minutes.
Allen looked fine and hit 4-of-7 shots on the night, though he missed another freebie late that may actually be a trend after watching some key misses in last year's playoffs. Hitting 1.5 triples per game with solid percentages, he's still a late-round value despite the generally quiet tenor of his production.

Mon Dec 30 201320:04Ray Allen will play vs. Denver on Monday
Ray Allen (knee) will play against the Nuggets on Monday night.
He was a game-time call for the second game in a row and he'll be active for both. Allen was quiet vs. the Blazers on Saturday with just nine points, but he's still worth owning in standard leagues for his 1.5 triples per game in 25.4 minutes this season.

Mon Dec 30 201314:19Ray Allen game-time with sore knee
Ray Allen (knee) will be a game-time decision vs. the Nuggets on Monday.
He's been playing through right knee tendinitis and it may have finally caught up with him, as he wasn't able to make it through shootaround. Roger Mason Jr. would likely assume most of Allen's playing time if he's forced to sit out for the second time in three games.

Sat Dec 28 201321:19Ray Allen will play vs. Blazers on Saturday
Ray Allen (knee) will play against the Blazers on Saturday night.
He sat out of Friday's game with some knee soreness and will be back in the lineup. Allen is in remarkable shape at age 38 and still has a lot left in the tank. He might get some extra shots tonight with LeBron James not playing.

Sat Dec 28 201320:40Ray Allen is a game-time call for Saturday
Ray Allen is a game-time decision for Saturday's game against the Blazers.
He missed Friday's game with knee soreness and his injury is not considered serious. The team is going to wait and see how he feels before announcing his status. Dwyane Wade is going to play, so Allen won't see big minutes tonight if he does go.

Fri Dec 27 201320:38Ray Allen out against the Kings Friday
Ray Allen (knee) will not play against the Kings on Friday.
The Heat are doing their best Spurs impression tonight resting their top two shooting guards on the first half of a road back-to-back set. Allen should be considered probable for Saturday.
