Roethlisberger (not injury related), who was limited at practice Friday, is probable for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, the Steelers' official site reports.
We'll verify Roethlisberger's Week 4 status in advance of Sunday's game to be sure, but at this stage, there is nothing to suggest that he won't be able to face the 0-3 Bucs this weekend.

Roethlisberger completed 22-of-30 passes for 196 yards and two touchdown in Sunday's 37-19 win over the Panthers
10 days after struggling to six points against the Ravens, the Pittsburgh offense put together a fantastic game against a strong Carolina defense. Roethlisberger was efficient on a limited number of throws, and running backs Le'Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount combined for 265 rushing yards on 31 carries. Roethlisberger made an incredible play on the first of Antonio Brown's two touchdowns, lofting a perfect pass into the back right corner, following a pair of pump fakes. The Steelers have a favorable schedule over the next four weeks, facing Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, Cleveland and Houston, in that order. The Bucs, while fairly talented on defense, are dealing with crucial injuries to DT Gerald McCoy (hand) and MLB Mason Foster (shoulder).

Roethlisberger completed 22-of-37 passes for 217 yards, adding one interception in Thursday's 26-6 loss to the Ravens.
The interception came on a deflected pass in the waning minutes of a decided game. Still, Roethlisberger turned in an uncharacteristically poor performance, and didn't get much help from his receivers or offensive line. RB Le'Veon Bell impressed for a second straight week, but it was an otherwise ugly outing for the Pittsburgh offense, a unit that piled up 503 yards and 30 points against the Browns in Week 1. Based on the early returns from the Steeler defense, Roethlisberger may need to do a lot of throwing this year.

Roethlisberger (not injury related) is listed as active for Thursday's game against the Ravens, the Steelers' official site reports.
As expected, with Roethlisberger's probable designation heading into the contest related to the limited practice that he and several other Steelers' regulars turned in on Monday.

Roethlisberger (not injury related) is listed as probable for Thursday's game against the Ravens, the Steelers' official site reports.
A number of the Steelers' key players are listed that way, after seeing limited work Monday to start the team's short week, but Roethlisberger's Week 2 status is in no doubt.

Roethlisberger (not injury related) practiced fully Tuesday, the Steelers' official site reports.
Roethlisberger was among the players limited by the team Monday, with the Steelers on a short week, but his status for Thursday's game against the Ravens is in no doubt at this stage.
Wed Sep 10 201407:37Roethlisberger (non injury related) limited in practice Monday
Roethlisberger (non injury related) was limited in practice Monday, according to Steelers.com.
No cause for concern, as the Steelers opted to limit Roethlisberger, along with Le'Veon Bell, Antonio Brown, Markus Wheaton and Heath Miller (all non injur related). Given the short week, these moves are simply an effort to keep key players fresh for the Thursday night game against the Ravens. Fantasy owners can start Big Ben, and any of these other players, with confidence.

Roethlisberger completed 23-of-34 passes for 365 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the Steelers' 30-27 win over Cleveland Sunday.
Big Ben also had a 7-yard scramble on the Steelers' final drive of the first half that led to a Shaun Suisham field goal and Pittsburgh's 27-3 halftime lead, then completed his final three passes to set-up the game winning field goal as time expired. He'll have a touch match-up in Week 2 against the Ravens.

Roethlisberger completed 15-of-24 passes for 157 yards, with one touchdown and one interception in Thursday's preseason game against the Eagles.
The numbers don't tell the entire story, as Big Ben and the Steelers' starting offense struggled against the Eagles' first-team defense. The touchdown pass to Heath Miller, came well into the second half against Philadelphia's second-team defense. With one pre-season game remaining, in which he will likely see little-to-no-action, Roethlisberger has completed 24-of-37 passes for 328 yards, with three touchdowns and the one interception.

Roethlisberger completed 8-of-11 passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns in Pittsburgh's 19-16 preseason win against Buffalo Saturday.
In limited action throufh two preseason games, Roethlisberger is 9-of-13 passing for 174 yards, with two touchdowns and no interceptions. A revamped offensive lines and the implementation of a no-huddle offense could translate into big fantasy numbers for Big Ben.

Roethlisberger played just one drive in Saturday's preseason opener against the Giants, completing one of his two passes for 46 yards.
Roethlisberger threw a quick screen to rookie running back Dri Archer, who wasted no time getting 46 yards up the field. The Steelers lost Emmanuel Sanders and Jericho Cotchery in the offseason, but they added a couple of receiving threats in Archer and fourth-round wide receiver Martavis Bryant. Arguably more important than the additions, the Steelers are expecting Markus Wheaton to step up after a quiet rookie season. Wheaton and Antonio Brown are listed as the starters on the initial depth chart, with Moore -- or perhaps Justin Brown -- expected to serve as the third receiver. The Steelers finally acquired a big red-zone threat in the 6-4 Bryant, but it's unclear what kind of role, if any, the rookie will have this season. While the Pittsburgh receiving corps looks rather shaky, the team should have better backs and linemen than they did the past few seasons. Still, as has been the case for years now, Roethlisberger doesn't have much to work with compared to other comparably talented quarterbacks.
Mon Jul 28 201417:37GM: Big Ben will be Steeler for life
Speaking Monday, GM Kevin Colbert said he didn't "any circumstance" where Ben Roethlisberger did not finish his career with the Steelers.
Roethlisberger's contract has become a talking point even though he's signed through the 2015 season. With their cavalier quarterback now 32 years of age, the Steelers have no reason to rush an extension.

Sat Jul 26 201421:16Big Ben extension on hold until after season
Steelers president Art Rooney said the team will wait until next offseason to sign Ben Roethlisberger to a contract extension.
Roethlisberger is signed for $23.7 over the next two years, and will make $12.1 million in 2014 base salary. The Steelers have just $6.37 million in cap space, so they plan on extending him after the season when they have more financial flexibility. "Ben wants to be part of a winning team, to be in a position to compete for championships, and he understands that in order to do that we need to try to keep as many of the other players around as we can," Rooney told Steelers.com. "That's what he and I talked about. We did assure him that next year is the time frame in which we want to address it."

Wed Jun 18 201422:10Steelers OC Haley promises more no-huddle
Steelers OC Todd Haley confirmed the no-huddle will be a staple of Pittsburgh's 2014 offense.
The Steelers played no-huddle sparingly early in 2013. They implemented it down the stretch, and Ben Roethlisberger was fantasy football's No. 4 quarterback over Pittsburgh's final nine games. "We've been working hard at it," Haley said. "That's going to be part of what we do. We don't want to just give it lip service." Playing faster would benefit all Steelers skill players.

Sun Jun 8 201410:26Steelers to use more no-huddle in 2014
Ben Roethlisberger said the Steelers will use the no-huddle offense more in 2014.
OC Todd Haley was a bit leery to use the hurry-up offense the first half of last season but became more receptive to it down the stretch, and the offense took off. The Steelers went 6-3 over their final nine games and averaged ten points more per game than over the previous seven. "I don't want to call it our base offense," Roethlisberger said, "but I think you'll see more of it." It allows Big Ben to call the plays at the line and run more of them. Roethlisberger was playing some of the best football of his career in 2013 and has some sneaky 2014 upside.

Tue May 6 201418:58Big Ben planning to play 5-7 more seasons
Speaking in a Tuesday radio interview, Ben Roethlisberger said he's planning to play 5-7 more seasons.
"I feel like I'm in great shape," Roethlisberger said. Now 32, Big Ben has taken an enormous beating during his 10-year career, but played every snap last season. We wouldn't count on that kind of durability going forward, but Roethlisberger's arm talent hasn't diminished in any fashion. He's signed through 2015 in Pittsburgh.

Wed Apr 23 201409:52Nothing imminent between Big Ben, Steelers
There's "nothing imminent" on extension negotiations between the Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger.
Although Roethlisberger carries an $18.9 million cap hit this season, the Steelers aren't in desperate straights. They've already done their free-agent shopping and will get another $8 million in relief once their "post June 1" cuts go through. Both sides say they remain committed to having Big Ben, 32, retire as a Steeler.

Sat Mar 15 201419:35Steelers not close to extension with Big Ben
ESPN.com's Scott Brown reports "there doesn't appear to be any sense of urgency" from the Steelers to get an extension done with Ben Roethlisberger.
Roethlisberger has two years remaining on the eight-year, $102 million deal he signed in 2008 and is set to count $18.9 million against the cap this season. It's surprising that the Steelers haven't already got an extension done consisting their cap issues, but a deal between the sides is expected to happen at some point. GM Kevin Colbert said it's "unanimous" within the organization that Roethlisberger's next contract will allow him to retire in Pittsburgh.

Thu Feb 20 201409:00GM wants Big Ben to retire as a Steeler
GM Kevin Colbert said it's "unanimous" within the organization that the Steelers want Ben Roethlisberger to retire as a Steeler.
"There's nobody that I'd rather have or the franchise would rather have than Ben," Colbert said. "He's won for us, there's still a lot of tread of the tires." The comments are similar to the ones made by team president Art Rooney II last month. The 31-year-old Big Ben currently has two years remaining on the eight-year, $102 million deal he signed in 2008 -- meaning an extension could be hammered out this offseason. Over the final eight games of last season, Roethlisberger threw 16 touchdowns against five interceptions while leading the Steelers to a 6-2 record.

Thu Jan 9 201410:10Rooney wants Big Ben to retire as a Steeler
Team president Art Rooney II said there's "no doubt" that "we've got to have Ben [Roethlisberger] retire as a Steeler."
Roethlisberger, who will turn 32 in March, has two years left on the eight-year, $102 million deal he signed in 2008. Rooney said an extension will happen at some point, adding that he hopes to have Big Ben for another five years. It's an understandable stance after the quarterback overcame the loss of Mike Wallace and C Maurkice Pouncey (knee) to set a franchise record for completions (375) while going over 4,000 yards for the third time in his career and playing in all 16 games for the second time.
