Tue Feb 12 201309:40Ahmad Bradshaw wants in with the Jets?
Free agent Ahmad Bradshaw said Tuesday that he's been "thinking" about the Jets.
The Jets are not expected to bring back Shonn Greene, leaving them with Bilal Powell and Joe McKnight in the backfield. "The New York Jets are a team that I've kinda been thinking about, just to stay home, not make a big move from New York," Bradshaw said. "It's just right across the street from where I am now." Although Bradshaw will likely come relatively cheap, the cap-strapped Jets would still find more value in spending any free-agent money available elsewhere. Using a draft pick on a running back can plug the hole.

Wed Feb 6 201317:41Bradshaw hints he could reunite with Giants
Ahmad Bradshaw says he's "very confident" his latest foot injury isn't career ending, and that the Giants left open the possibility of re-signing him once he's healthy.

Wed Feb 6 201315:31Giants release long-time RB Ahmad Bradshaw
Giants released RB Ahmad Bradshaw.
Bradshaw had been bandied about as a candidate for release in the Giants media, but it's still a surprising decision. However, it creates $2.75 million in cap space, and clears the way for 2012 first-round pick David Wilson to take over as starter. Speaking at his season-ending presser, GM Jerry Reese made it clear he remained high on Wilson despite his uneven rookie season. Bradshaw is still only 27 (in March), and has averaged a robust 4.6 yards on 921 career carries, but chronic foot issues bode poorly for his future. Regardless, he should have little trouble finding work as a complementary back on the open market.

Tue Feb 5 201308:43Ahmad Bradshaw now has a bigger screw
Ahmad Bradshaw's latest right foot procedure replaced a smaller screw with a larger one.
The original screw was implanted following the 2009 season, but a 2011 fracture and 2012 bone bruise complicated matters. "It was giving me a little bit of problems, and now I feel a whole lot better," Bradshaw said. "I just went through too much this year." The larger screw is intended to hold his fractures in place better. Bradshaw is expecting to be able to put weight on his foot this week and be cleared for workouts in 10 weeks. He'll carry a ton of red flags into his age-28 season.

Sat Feb 2 201314:15Ahmad Bradshaw undergoes minor foot surgery
Ahmad Bradshaw is in a walking boot after recently undergoing minor right foot surgery.
Bradshaw, scooting around New Orleans down at the Super Bowl, said he had a screw replaced in his foot. Bradshaw, of course, has dealt with foot issues for the past couple of seasons, but he's always played through the pain. It shouldn't force him out of any offseason work, whether that be with the Giants or not. After the season, Bradshaw said he wasn't convinced he'd be back in New York at his scheduled $3.75 million salary.

Fri Jan 11 201311:38Bradshaw's roster spot in danger?
The New York Post considers it "doubtful" that Ahmad Bradshaw's roster spot is in danger at a scheduled salary of $3.75 million for 2013.
Bradshaw acknowledged himself that he's no lock to return. The Post cites coach Tom Coughlin's desire to have two or three quality backs in his stable. GM Jerry Reese has stated that David Wilson has "lead dog" potential, but the coaching staff hasn't deemed him starter-worthy just yet. Of the Giants' returning starters, LB Michael Boley ($4.25 million) is the most likely to be cut.

Tue Jan 1 201315:16Bradshaw expresses doubt about Giants future
Ahmad Bradshaw isn't convinced that he will be back with the Giants on his scheduled $3.75 million salary for 2013.
"It's a great opportunity to see these faces," Bradshaw said after cleaning out his locker. "You never know who's gonna be back next season, including me." Explosive 2012 first-rounder David Wilson came on strong late in the season and should be better acclimated to pass protection with an offseason of practices. The oft-injured Bradshaw could be viewed as a luxury rather than a necessity at nearly $4 million.

Ahmad Bradshaw (knee) practiced again on Friday.
That's back-to-back practices for Bradshaw for the first time in months. He normally sits out on Wednesdays and Thursdays, but he must be feeling pretty heady this week. Bradshaw is in line to carry the load against the Eagles on Sunday.

Thu Dec 27 201218:17Bradshaw limited on Thursday for Giants
Updating a previous item, Ahmad Bradshaw (knee) was limited in Thursday's practice.
Bradshaw sat out of practice on Wednesday, as he usually does, but his Thursday return to a limited session goes against his normal routine. Bradshaw typically sits out both early days before returning for a Friday session. He's on track to carry a full load on Sunday against the Eagles.

Ahmad Bradshaw (knee) returned to practice on Thursday.
Bradshaw sat out of practice on Wednesday, per usual with him this season. His return on Thursday points toward him being able to carry a full load this week against the Eagles. Bradshaw rushed just 13 times for 39 yards in Week 4 when the two teams first squared off this season. He was dealing with a neck injury at the time.

Wed Dec 26 201211:34Ahmad Bradshaw will not practice Wednesday
Ahmad Bradshaw (knee) will not practice Wednesday.
It's a usual day of rest for Bradshaw. On Sunday, he was allowed to stay on the field in the fourth quarter even though the Giants were down 33-7. Therefore, we don't suspect he suffered any setback. The G-Men haven't officially been eliminated from the playoffs yet, so we'd expect Bradshaw to get a little work in on Friday and start Sunday's game against the Eagles.

Sun Dec 23 201214:58Ahmad Bradshaw (knee) will play vs. Ravens
Ahmad Bradshaw (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Ravens.
Bradshaw will be playing through a knee sprain and figures to be operating at well less than 100 percent. The Giants would like to ride him heavily, but that will depend on how effective he can be. Explosive rookie David Wilson is waiting and ready in support. The Giants will be without DE Justin Tuck (shoulder) and S Kenny Phillips (knee). The rest of their inactives: WR Ramses Barden, S Tyler Sash, TE Travis Beckum, DE Adewale Ojomo and TE Adrien Robinson.

Sun Dec 23 201212:30Report: Ahmad Bradshaw 'plans to play'
ESPN's Rachel Nichols reports Ahmad Bradshaw (knee) "plays to play" Sunday.
Per Nichols, Bradshaw was "satisfied with how he could cut Friday." Although Bradshaw didn't suit up in Week 15, he has a long history of playing through pain, and will almost certainly take the field for today's must-win tilt. Although he should cede a healthy amount of work to David Wilson, he's a strong flex play for the fantasy finals. Bradshaw is Rotoworld's No. 24 back for Week 16, while Wilson is No. 29.

Fri Dec 21 201213:37Ahmad Bradshaw practices, questionable again
Ahmad Bradshaw (knee) is listed as questionable for Week 16 after returning to Giants practice Friday.
The fact that Bradshaw was green-lighted to participate Friday suggests the Giants have every intention of using him Sunday at Baltimore. Workload and effectiveness remain concerns as Bradshaw attempts to play at less than 100 percent. He'll be a low-end RB2/flex option even in a favorable matchup against the Ravens.

Fri Dec 21 201212:03Ahmad Bradshaw returns for Friday's practice
Ahmad Bradshaw (knee) returned to practice on Friday.
Coach Tom Coughlin wanted to wait to see how Bradshaw's knee reacted to the work on Friday before giving his starting tailback the green light for Sunday's game. Bradshaw's participation does bode well for his return to game action, however. Check back in an hour or so for an update on Bradshaw's status.

Thu Dec 20 201212:36Ahmad Bradshaw held out of another practice
Ahmad Bradshaw (knee) did not practice Thursday.
Bradshaw's status remains completely up in the air. He feels he's able to play and coach Tom Coughlin wants his starting back in there, but the final word will be left up to the doctors. This could very well come down to a game-time call as Coughlin has admitted Bradshaw doesn't need to practice in order to suit up. The Giants play in Baltimore at 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday.

Wed Dec 19 201211:09Ahmad Bradshaw is not back in practice yet
Ahmad Bradshaw (knee) will not practice Wednesday.
Bradshaw has guaranteed that he will return for Sunday's game against the Ravens. However, it's not up to him. Coach Tom Coughlin said that Bradshaw's availability will strictly be a medical decision and that doctors don't know yet if he'll be ready. If Bradshaw does end up getting the green light, we're expecting a timeshare with David Wilson.

Tue Dec 18 201208:52Coach Coughlin pulls back on Bradshaw
Coach Tom Coughlin was non-committal Monday on Ahmad Bradshaw's (knee) Week 16 status.
Bradshaw told reporters he is "planning on going this week." Of course, he's among the many players known for being overly optimistic on injuries. "I'm not sure about that," Coughlin said when told of Bradshaw's plans. "I medically do not have that kind of feedback yet." We'll know more on Wednesday.

Mon Dec 17 201214:28Ahmad Bradshaw says he'll play in Week 16
Ahmad Bradshaw (knee) told reporters Monday that he plans to return for Week 16 against the Ravens.
Bradshaw did admit he "says that every week." Nevertheless, Bradshaw said his knee is healing "faster than expected." Bradshaw has a long history of playing through pain, so it would be far from surprising if he only misses one game, especially after he played through the ailment in Week 14. However, Bradshaw's status will likely he hard to gauge before the weekend, as he'll surely get in few, if any, practice reps. If Bradshaw does play against the Ravens, we'd expect him to cede a healthy amount of work to rookie David Wilson.
