Thu Apr 24 201414:05Bradshaw (neck) not back to 100 percent
Ahmad Bradshaw (neck surgery) says he "feels great," but isn't yet 100 percent.
"I'm starting to touch the field and run a lot more," Bradshaw said. "It's all upside for me." However, Bradshaw also admitted his surgically-repaired foot was a source of pain in 2013. Any contributions the Colts get from Bradshaw in 2014 will be a bonus.

Tue Mar 11 201418:06Colts re-up Ahmad Bradshaw on 1-year deal
Colts re-signed RB Ahmad Bradshaw to a one-year contract.
It's likely near the veteran's minimum. Bradshaw will turn 28 next week and hasn't been 100 percent healthy in some time. He's coming off neck surgery and has chronic foot problems. If healthy, he'll be a nice complement to Trent Richardson. Vick Ballard will also be in the mix for No. 2 duties.

Tue Mar 4 201410:38Colts, Ahmad Bradshaw talking contract
The Indianapolis Star reports the Colts and free agent Ahmad Bradshaw have engaged in contract negotiations.
The Colts reportedly "haven't closed the door" on a Bradshaw return. Both ESPN Colts reporter Mike Wells and the Star opined last month that it's unlikely Bradshaw re-signs, especially with Vick Ballard returning from a torn ACL and Bradshaw's own injury history. Bradshaw will turn 28 in two weeks and is coming off neck surgery. He likely won't sign until the second or third wave of free agency.

Mon Feb 10 201414:38Ahmad Bradshaw unlikely to be re-signed
The Indianapolis Star agrees with ESPN Colts blogger Mike Wells that free agent Ahmad Bradshaw is unlikely to be re-signed.
Indy Star beat writer Stephen Holder believes Bradshaw was the Colts' best back when healthy in 2013, but Bradshaw's lack of durability has made him a poor investment for NFL clubs. "If he does return, it will be an attempt to add depth, at most," writes Holder. Bradshaw turns 28 in March. He's missed 19 games over the past three seasons and underwent neck surgery in October.

Thu Dec 5 201322:06Ahmad Bradshaw planning to play in 2014
Impending free agent Ahmad Bradshaw (neck, injured reserve) plans to play in 2014.
"That's the plan," Bradshaw said. "Get ready for next season." According to Bradshaw, there's a chance he could have already been back on the field had he not been placed on injured reserve. Bradshaw is still only 27, and boasts a career 4.6 yards per carry. However, he has serious foot and neck issues to his name, and is going to have trouble landing guaranteed money in free agency, just like he did in 2013.

Tue Oct 8 201315:53Bradshaw opts for surgery, done for the year
Profootballtalk reports Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) has decided to undergo surgery, and will miss the rest of the season.
Bradshaw tried rest and rehab for two weeks, but wasn't progressing at the necessary rate. Coupled with his chronic foot issues, Bradshaw's latest neck injury has his career in doubt even though he's only 27. Bradshaw was running well before going down, averaging 4.5 yards on 41 carries. His injury underscores why the Colts acquired Trent Richardson, and leaves T-Rich as Indy's clear lead back. Donald Brown is Richardson's handcuff. For his career, Bradshaw has averaged 4.6 yards per carry, and caught 139 passes in 87 games.

Fri Oct 4 201312:48Bradshaw (neck) to take a couple weeks off
Coach Chuck Pagano says Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) will "take the next couple of weeks to sit back and decide what to do."
Bradshaw is out for the immediate future and may undergo season-ending neck surgery within the month. He's "seen several specialists" and will likely attempt rehab before going under the knife. Trent Richardson is locked in as a true bell-cow back. He's a top-ten running back play this week against the Seahawks.

Thu Oct 3 201315:20Report: Bradshaw 'undecided' on surgery
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) is "undecided" on surgery after receiving a second opinion on Thursday.
It sounds like Bradshaw will attempt rest and rehab before going under the knife. Either way, he appears unlikely to suit up any time soon. Bradshaw's absence leaves Trent Richardson as the Colts' obvious bell-cow, and Donald Brown as his backup. It's doubtful you'll regret dropping Bradshaw in your 12-team re-draft league.

Wed Oct 2 201312:30Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) remains sidelined
Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) is not practicing Wednesday.
Bradshaw's neck injury appears to be more serious than the Colts originally let on. We've marked him as "week to week" instead of "day to day." If Bradshaw can't go in Week 5, Trent Richardson is going to carry the mail against the Seahawks' dominant front seven on Sunday. Donald Brown will be mixed in as well.

Thu Sep 26 201314:18Ahmad Bradshaw still not practicing Thursday
Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) remained out of Colts practice Thursday.
Bradshaw had his neck examined during Sunday's win, but stayed in the game. His absence is likely just a matter of the Colts managing a creaky veteran's reps. We expect Bradshaw to be active against the Jags' league worst run defense.

Wed Sep 25 201316:25Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) not practicing Wed.
Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) did not participate in Colts practice Wednesday.
Coming off a 22-touch, 111-yard, one-touchdown effort against the 49ers last week, Bradshaw and Trent Richardson are expected to split the load against the Jaguars again in Week 4. Bradshaw will on the flex radar if he suits up.

Wed Sep 18 201318:28Bradshaw tumbles to second on depth chart
Ahmad Bradshaw is the Colts' No. 2 running back following the Wednesday acquisition of Trent Richardson.
Where there was once low-end RB2 appeal, there is now just a handcuff. Bradshaw showed well in Week 2, averaging 4.3 yards on his 15 carries while catching three passes, but the Colts clearly had no faith his troublesome feet would hold up over the grind of a 16-game season. Although he's still likely to be mixed in for 5-6 weekly touches, Bradshaw is a pure bench option, and an end-of-roster one at that. The dream is over.

Tue Sep 17 201309:51Ahmad Bradshaw runs well in start
The Indy Star says Ahmad Bradshaw "had a lot more pop" than they expected.
Now 27 years old and coming off another foot procedure, there was some question as to whether Bradshaw would have the same juice he had in New York. He answered those questions by showing good explosion against the very good Dolphins front seven in Week 2, rushing 16 times for 65 yards with a touchdowns. Bradshaw has an absolutely brutal matchup at San Francisco in Week 3, but he's a solid hold with Vick Ballard out for the year. The Colts play at Jacksonville in Week 4.
