Sun Sep 15 201317:32Bradshaw runs for 65 yards, scores touchdown
Ahmad Bradshaw rushed 16 times for 65 yards and a touchdown, and caught three passes for 19 yards in the Colts' Week 2 loss to Miami.
It's solid production considering the matchup; Bradshaw really buoyed his fantasy scoring with a one-yard goal-line score in the second quarter. Although the Colts' offensive line gave Bradshaw minimal running room, he fought for yardage as he did throughout his New York tenure. Consider Bradshaw a low-end RB2/flex in another rough Week 3 matchup at San Francisco. Donald Brown saw seven change-of-pace carries against the Dolphins, and didn't catch a pass.

Fri Sep 13 201315:16Ahmad Bradshaw to receive most Colts carries
ESPN Colts reporter Mike Wells confirms Ahmad Bradshaw will "get the bulk of the carries" in Indy's backfield with Vick Ballard lost for the year.
"I'm ready," Bradshaw said. "That's just what happens when this happens. I've been working hard for this. You never know what can happen. Next man up." Donald Brown will be No. 2, and practice squad signee Kerwynn Williams will be No. 3. While Bradshaw has a red-light Week 2 date with the stout Dolphins defense, he'll offer RB2 value in more forgiving matchups going forward.

Fri Sep 13 201313:13Ahmad Bradshaw now clear lead back for Colts
Ahmad Bradshaw is the clear lead back for the Colts after Vick Ballard suffered a season-ending torn right ACL in Thursday's practice.
Bradshaw and Ballard were ticketed for closer to a 50-50 split this week after Ballard saw 13 carries to Bradshaw's seven in the opener. Now that Ballard is done for the year, Bradshaw will shoulder as much of the load his surgically-repaired feet can handle. Donald Brown is the new No. 2, but he shouldn't play much. Bradshaw has a tough Week 2 matchup against the Dolphins in Miami. However, he should hover around 20 touches per game moving forward. Bradshaw is on the RB2/flex radar this week. Ideally, we'd like to see how he plays before plugging him right into our fantasy lineups. You could do worse, though.

Thu Sep 12 201312:33Colts eventually want even carry split at RB
OC Pep Hamilton said he ideally wants there to be a 50-50 split of the carries between Vick Ballard and Ahmad Bradshaw.

Wed Sep 11 201312:28Colts will 'try' to get Ahmad Bradshaw snaps
Coach Chuck Pagano said he's still going to "try" to get Ahmad Bradshaw touches even with Vick Ballard playing so well.
Bradshaw had eight touches in his Colts debut, but played on just 26.3 percent of the snaps. Ballard was dominant in pass protection and averaged 4.84 YPC on his 13 rushes. Ballard will continue to start and Bradshaw hasn't shown signs of closing the gap just yet. Regardless, we wouldn't expect either back to find many holes against a stout Dolphins front this week. Look for a pass-heavy gameplan.

Mon Sep 9 201309:35Ahmad Bradshaw plays just 15 snaps
Ahmad Bradshaw played on just 15-of-57 offensive snaps in Sunday's Week 1 win over the Colts.
Bradshaw managed eight touches for 33 total yards while starter Vick Ballard had 58 total yards on his 14 touches. Considering the ex-Giant's creaky wheels and how much practice time he missed, it's not a major surprise. Bradshaw's role projects to grow slowly as the season moves along.

Sun Sep 8 201316:26Ahmad Bradshaw gets 8 touches in Week 1
Ahmad Bradshaw rushed seven times for 26 yards and caught one pass for seven yards in the Colts' Week 1 win over the Raiders.
Bradshaw is still working into game shape after missing the entire preseason, so the Colts eased him in. Vick Ballard started and received 14 touches. Expect Bradshaw's role to grow in Week 2 against the Dolphins, but that won't be a favorable matchup and Bradshaw can't be trusted as anything more than a roll-of-the-dice flex player until we see him establish bigger workloads.

Sun Sep 8 201312:35Ahmad Bradshaw listed as backup
Vick Ballard is listed as the Colts starting running back for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
These gameday "flip card" listings sometimes don't mean anything at all. For example, the Patriots are still listing Zach Sudfeld as their No. 4 tight end. Still, the workload split between Ahmad Bradshaw and Ballard remains very murky. Bradshaw is clearly the far superior talent, but he missed a lot of camp as he recovered from another foot surgery and Ballard is the reliable incumbent. One thing we know for sure is that the Colts won't struggle to run the ball against the talent-depraved Raiders.

Sun Sep 8 201311:48Ahmad Bradshaw active for Week 1
Ahmad Bradshaw is active for Week 1 against the Raiders.
As expected. Indy's Week 1 inactives are S Delano Howell, LB Pat Angerer, LB Kavell Conner, C Khaled Holmes, TE Jack Doyle, WR/KR David Reed, and DL Montori Hughes. With Angerer and Conner out of the lineup, the Colts are down to No. 4 inside linebacker Kelvin Sheppard next to Jerrell Freeman.

Fri Sep 6 201315:28Ahmad Bradshaw listed as probable for Wk 1
Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) is listed as probable for Week 1 after a full practice week.
Bradshaw's workload against the Raiders will be much less affected by his feet than his limited practice time in OC Pep Hamilton's offense. He'll be a high-upside, somewhat high-risk RB2/flex option in Sunday's favorable matchup.

Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) got in his second straight full practice Thursday.

Wed Sep 4 201318:46Ahmad Bradshaw gets in a full practice
Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) was a full participant in Colts practice Wednesday.
Bradshaw is working his way back into game shape, and it appears he's set to be all systems go for the opener against the Raiders. Vick Ballard has been running with the first-team offense this week. Bradshaw isn't a recommended flex play. We'd expect him to take over No. 1 duties in the very near future.

Mon Sep 2 201315:39Ahmad Bradshaw works with Colts 2nd-team O
Though Ahmad Bradshaw is expected to become the Colts' starter "at some point," he revealed Monday he's practicing with the second-team offense.
Vick Ballard, an inferior talent, is currently working as the starting tailback, probably primarily because he carried the mail in the preseason. "There's probably a certain amount of plays we'd like to get him," coach Chuck Pagano said of Bradshaw. "What that is, I don't know. He was out there [at practice Monday] and running around and looked pretty good out there." Despite the incredibly favorable matchup versus Oakland, Bradshaw will be a somewhat dicey Week 1 flex play. Ballard isn't on the fantasy radar.

Mon Sep 2 201313:26Colts confirm Bradshaw will play vs. Raiders
Colts coach Chuck Pagano confirmed Monday that Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) will play in Week 1 against the Raiders.
Pagano was less committal on Bradshaw's workload, saying only "we'll work him in there" and the Colts have a "number of plays" in mind for their new feature back. Pagano said Bradshaw has "looked pretty good" in practice, but the coaching staff is "not sure how heavy a load" he'll receive in his first game as a Colt. Bradshaw didn't play a down in the preseason. We still like his chances of reaching 14-17 touches in a juicy fantasy matchup.

Wed Aug 21 201308:39Ahmad Bradshaw practices in full pads
Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) practiced in full pads Tuesday for the first time all camp.
Bradshaw still isn't participating completely in team work and isn't expected to play in the Colts' third preseason game, but it's clear he's making progress. With more than two weeks to go until Week 1, he appears on pace to be peaking in terms of health in early September. Coach Chuck Pagano seems pleased with Bradshaw, saying he "understands" what it takes to be ready and it's only a "bonus" if he plays in a preseason game.

Tue Aug 20 201312:42Ahmad Bradshaw won't play this week
Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) is not expected to play in the Colts' third preseason game.
Bradshaw is still limited to positional drills and a little team work at practice. Pushing him to play in an exhibition game wouldn't make much sense. Bradshaw appears to be trending toward 100 percent closer to Week 1. He'll quickly overtake Vick Ballard as the Colts' starter once that happens.

Tue Aug 13 201320:34Bradshaw says he 'definitely' feels 100 %
Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) says he "definitely" feels 100 percent.
"I guess that was part of the misinterpretation last week and I'm just ready to go," Bradshaw said, referring to his forced activation from the PUP list. "We just want to take it slow, make it last the whole season." The Indianapolis Star believes Bradshaw might suit up for the Colts' third preseason game, but we wouldn't be surprised if he sat out the entire exhibition season.
