Torii Hunter drove home a run with an RBI single in the first inning on Friday, which would prove to be the difference in the Tigers 1-0 victory over the Red Sox.
Hunter finished the night 2-for-4. It looked as though the Tigers were going to break things open against Jon Lester in the first inning, but had to settle for just the one run which Max Scherzer and company made sure was enough to stand up. Hunter is now slashing .305/.338/.461 with four homers and 21 RBI on the season.
