With the three-hit performance, Montero is 5-for-15 in August. After batting .230 in July, Montero's hot start in August has pushed his average to .260 on the year. He has hit safely in six of his last eight.

He's done a nice job holding down the four-spot in Arizona's lineup. The All Star catcher now has 58 RBI on the season and is slashing .263/.344/.412.
