Martin (groin) will not play in Friday's preseason game but could play Sunday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Martin has been participating in practice, but there's no reason to rush his return. It doesn't sound like this is an injury that will impact his availability for the start of the regular season.

Martin (groin) participated fully in Wednesday's practice and could play in Friday's preseason game, the Star Tribune's Jerry Zgoda reports.
This is the second day in a row that Martin has been a full participant in practice, which bodes well. Coach Flip Saunders said the team will evaluate Martin on Thursday before determining if he will play Friday.

Martin (groin) participated in parts of Tuesday's practice and is expected to return no later than Sunday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune's Jerry Zgoda reports.
Martin is yet to play in the preseason due to an adductor strain, but he's getting close to returning to the court. There's a chance he could play Friday against Milwaukee, though Sunday in Tulsa against Oklahoma City is the most likely scenario.

Martin (groin) did not practice Monday, Kent Youngblood of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Martin continues to nurse an adductor strain, but the team expects him to return to practice at some point this week. The Wolves don't play again until Friday, so consider Martin questionable for that contest.

Martin (groin) is expected to return to practice at some point this week, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
The injury, which has been classified as an adductor strain, kept Martin from the Wolves' first two preseason games, but coach Flip Saunders is optimistic he'll return to practice in relatively short order. Minnesota doesn't play again until next Friday.

Martin (groin) will not play Friday against Philadelphia, Andy Greder of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Martin (groin) is dealing with an adductor strain and will not play in Tuesday's preseason opener against Indiana, Jerry Zgoda of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Martin tweaked the groin during Saturday's intrasquad scrimmage and did not take part in Sunday's session. At this point, a firm timetable has not been provided, but he'll miss at least Tuesday's game, and his status is up in the air for Friday's matchup with the Sixers.
Sat Oct 4 201417:59Martin tweaked groin muscle during Saturday's scrimmage
Martin tweaked his groin muscle during Saturday's scrimmage, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Martin's status for Tuesday's preseason opener is up in the air, but there's been nothing to suggest this could endanger his regular-season availability. Bouncing back from a down year in 2012-13, Martin started 68 games for the Timberwolves and averaging 19.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 32.0 minutes last season.
Wed Jul 23 201409:24Wolves may package Kevin Martin w/ Kevin Love
The Timberwolves may try to include Kevin Martin and J.J. Barea in any trade that involves Kevin Love.
Dealing away Martin and Barea would clear about $24.7 in guaranteed salary off the Wolves' books, while clearing more minutes in the backcourt for No. 13 pick Zach LaVine. The Bulls and Nuggets may still be in the mix for Love, but the Cavaliers appear to be the favorites if they consent to packaging Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, a future first-round pick, and enough spare parts to make the salaries match.

Thu Jun 19 201420:52Kevin Martin included in latest Love offer?
The Nuggets are offering Kenneth Faried, Wilson Chandler and the 11th pick in the 2014 draft for Kevin Love and Kevin Martin, according to Chris Broussard of ESPN.com.
This doesn't really make much sense for the Wolves at all. While Faried had a career year, he can't get his own shot and most of his production comes off the glass. As for Martin, the Wolves aren't too attached to him after giving him a four-year, $28 million. This deal probably isn't going to be accepted.

Wed Apr 16 201423:51Kevin Martin ends season on a high note
Kevin Martin scored a season-high 36 points during a 136-130 loss to the Jazz on Wednesday, adding two boards, one assist, two steals and three 3-pointers in 40 minutes.
He made 12-of-24 from the field and had a big improvement from his 8.0 points per game in his previous two games. Martin missed six games before this stretch due to a foot injury and he's said he's fought some plantar fasciitis this season and the offseason should help him. He'll be considered as an injury risk heading into next season based on his injury-plagued career.

Mon Apr 14 201410:02Kevin Martin may have had plantar fasciitis
Kevin Martin thinks that "a touch of plantar fasciitis" caused the sore right foot that sidelined him five games before his return on Sunday.
Martin played poorly with two points in 18 minutes on Sunday, and with nothing to play for the Wolves may opt to rest him in one or both of their final games. At the very least, fantasy owners should keep a close eye on the Wolves' injury report.

Sun Apr 13 201423:42Kevin Martin (heel) shoots 0-of-8 in return
Kevin Martin struggled in his return from a heel injury on Sunday, missing all eight of his field goals to score two points with one rebound in a loss vs. the Kings.
The Wolves have won four of their past seven games despite myriad injuries, but their 40-40 record puts them six full games out of the playoff picture. Martin obviously wasn't his usual efficient self, and he only got to the free throw line two times, so owners should continue to monitor his status for the Wolves' final two games.

Sun Apr 13 201420:04Kevin Martin (heel) back in action Sunday
Kevin Martin (heel) will start Sunday's game vs. the Kings.
Martin had sharp pain in his foot last week and it's not entirely clear what the issue was, but he feels well enough to suit up for the Wolves' third-to-last game. His return should send Corey Brewer to SF and rookie Robbie Hummel to the bench.

Fri Apr 11 201419:16Kevin Martin will not play on Friday
Kevin Martin will not play against the Rockets on Friday due to his foot injury.
He won't get to play against his former team and is likely out for the season. Martin is still fighting pain in his foot and the oft-injured guard should just shut it down. This late injury will likely cause him to slide in fantasy drafts next season, and rightfully so.

Fri Apr 11 201410:53Kevin Martin, Pekovic are listed as doubtful
Kevin Martin (foot) and Nikola Pekovic (ankle) are doubtful for Friday's game against the Wolves.
We'd be surprised to see either player again this season. This will be Martin's fifth straight game on the sideline as he fights sharp pain in his foot. Look for a starting five of Ricky Rubio, Robbie Hummel, Corey Brewer, Kevin Love and Gorgui Dieng. Chase Budinger (ankle) and Shabazz Muhammad (knee) are out. JJ Barea (back) is questionable.

He's dealing with some sharp pain in his foot and it looks like he'll be out for the season. Martin has dealt with several injuries in his career and will have another injury red flag on his draft value next season.

Mon Apr 7 201413:50Kevin Martin (heel) expected to sit out Tues.
Kevin Martin will sit out Tuesday's game due to sharp pain in his right heel.
Martin said he felt as though there as "a knife" stabbing him with each step following Wednesday's game, and it's unclear when or if he might return this season. Chase Budinger (ankle) and Shabazz Muhammad (knee) are also expected to sit out, forcing bigger roles onto probable starter Robbie Hummel, Corey Brewer, J.J. Barea and Luc Mbah a Moute.

Mon Apr 7 201410:47Kevin Martin out with stabbing pain in heel
Kevin Martin said that he's missed the past two games because of a stabbing pain in his right heel which began after Wednesday's game vs. Memphis.
"The next day it felt like a knife in the bottom of my damn heel with every step," he said. "I'm just trying to get that pain out. I don't know what it is, I don't need to know. It might just be an old man injury." The Wolves are limping to the finish line with Martin, Nikola Pekovic (ankle), Kevin Love (back), Chase Budinger (ankle) and Shabazz Muhammad (knee) all banged up and questionable to play on Tuesday.

Sun Mar 23 201418:33Kevin Martin bounces back w/ 25-point game
Kevin Martin quickly recovered from Thursday's single-digit scoring game, dropping 25 points on 6-of-16 FGs and 11-of-12 FTs in Sunday's loss.
He chipped in two 3-pointers with one assist and one steal, which is about all that his fantasy owners can expect from the veteran scoring guard. K-Mart has missed nine games this season, well below his career average for DNPs, and on a cumulative basis he's returning solid top-75 value with a predictable emphasis on scoring, 3s and FT percentage.
