Mon Jan 27 201422:30Kevin Martin scores just eight in win
Kevin Martin cooled off from his two-game hot streak on Monday, scoring eight points with six boards, one assist and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes.
He was coming off 26- and 30-point games and just didn't have it tonight. Martin has five single-digit scoring games this season, so the dud isn't really a surprise. As long as he's able to stay healthy, his fantasy owners should be happy with his output with coach Rick Adelman.

Sun Jan 26 201401:18Kevin Martin scores 30 in loss to Blazers
Kevin Martin hit 11-of-22 shots and six 3-pointers on his way to 30 points, four rebounds, three assists and a block in Saturday's loss.
Martin's as hot as he's been this season, averaging 22.4 points and 2.8 3-pointers on 47 percent shooting over his last five games. It would be nice if he did more than just score and hit threes, but he's averaging just 2.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.6 steals over that stretch, as well.

Kevin Martin (finger) played in Friday's road win over the Warriors, scoring 26 points on 10-of-17 shooting (3-of-3 from deep) with four rebounds, two assists and a steal in 34 minutes.
Everything looks fine for Martin and owners can get him right back into lineups, if he wasn't there already.

Thu Jan 23 201418:12Kevin Martin (finger) ready to play on Friday
Kevin Martin (finger) practiced on Thursday and said that he'll be ready to go for Friday's game vs. the Warriors.
K-Mart lacerated his right pinkie finger and needed a few stitches, but avoided any long-term damage. Continue to use him as you were prior to the injury.

Wed Jan 22 201400:52Kevin Martin's pinkie finger not broken
Kevin Martin's right pinkie finger is not broken, according to Dave Benz, the television voice of the Wolves.
This is fantastic news, but it's worth noting that his finger was bleeding badly and he needed stitches. The fact it's on his shooting hand doesn't help, but the news could have been much, much worse. Martin should be considered day-to-day and questionable for Friday's game against the Warriors. J.J. Barea will pick up the slack if Martin misses that one.

Tue Jan 21 201422:40Kevin Martin suffers finger injury vs. Jazz
Kevin Martin suffered a laceration to his right pinkie finger in the third quarter of Tuesday's game and has gone to the locker room for treatment.
The finger was bleeding profusely and he will be getting stitches, along with an X-ray. With the Wolves blowing out the Jazz tonight, it's safe to say Martin's night is over. This injury could affect his shooting for some time, and he could miss a lot of time if the X-rays reveal a break. We should know more later tonight. The Wolves have lost two shooting guards tonight, as Alexey Shved left with a broken nose, meaning Chase Budinger should see a big boost in minutes if they miss time.

Sun Jan 19 201401:17Kevin Martin scores 20 points vs. Jazz
Kevin Martin scored 20 points against the Jazz on Saturday in just 25 minutes to go with one board, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.
He's been somewhat boring and isn't going to the line nearly as much these days. Over his last five, he's attempted just 2.4 free throws per game to go with averages of 15.4 points, 2.2 boards, 2.0 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.8 triples. He's a bit of a buy-low guy as long as you're cognizant of his injury issues.

Sun Jan 5 201400:14Kevin Martin plays 40 minutes in loss
Kevin Martin played 40 minutes during Saturday's 115-111 loss to the Thunder, scoring 17 points with six boards, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer on 7-of-14 shooting.
He was playing just 30.3 minutes per game over OKC's last 10 games, so this is a major bump in minutes for Martin. His knee issues seem to have subsided, but his owners might want to at least entertain the idea of selling high considering how often he's been hurt in his career.

Mon Dec 30 201322:51Kevin Martin scores 19 with little else
Kevin Martin scored 19 points in Monday's 100-98 loss to the Mavericks with three rebounds, one assist, one block and one 3-pointer on 6-of-15 shooting.
His production in stats has been floundering for a while and he's only had one game with multiple 3-pointers since Dec. 14. Martin's knee issues might still be a problem, but his 36-minute game tonight was his second-highest total since Dec. 2. He's worth a look as a buy-low target only if it's for a player your team won't miss too badly.

Sun Dec 29 201300:04Kevin Martin scores 20 points vs. Bucks
Kevin Martin scored 20 points with two boards, two assists, one steal and four 3-pointers in 29 minutes against the Bucks.
It was a much-needed productive game for Martin, who was stuck in a slump over his previous seven. In that span, he averaged just 14.0 points, 3.0 boards, 2.0 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.1 triples on 43.7 percent shooting. Martin has been dealing with some injuries, but his stats should certainly be better than that have been this month.

Mon Dec 23 201300:52Kevin Martin posts 16/7/4 with six turnovers
Kevin Martin had 16 points, seven rebounds, four assists and six turnovers vs. the Clippers, while shooting 7-of-12 from the field with one 3-pointer.
One of his turnovers was a horrible pass which led to a breakaway layup for L.A. late in the fourth quarter, and the loss dropped the Wolves to an abysmal 0-7 in games decided by four points or less. He fouled out after 32 minutes and it's worth noting that his knee, which bothered him recently, didn't seem like an issue.

Kevin Martin hit 8-of-15 shots for 22 points, five rebounds, zero assists, a steal and a 3-pointer in 37 minutes in his return from a knee injury.
Martin was pretty iffy heading into this one but looked good. As long as he doesn't wake up with any issues on Thursday, he should be ready to roll going forward.

Kevin Martin (knee) went through shootaround on Wednesday, but his status vs. the Blazers is uncertain.

Mon Dec 16 201319:42Update: Kevin Martin will not play Monday
Updating a previous item, Kevin Martin (knee) will not play against the Celtics on Monday.
Ouch. There were was a report from one of the league's most credible reporters that Martin was going to start, but either something changed or he got some bad information. Robbie Hummel will start at shooting guard while Alexey Shved and J.J. Barea should see more playing time.

Mon Dec 16 201318:50Kevin Martin (knee) will start vs. Boston
Kevin Martin (knee) will start against the Celtics on Monday.
The news of him starting should be enough for fantasy owners to put him back into their lineups. Martin has really been struggling over his last five, shooting 30.8 percent from the field for 11.2 points per game. He has a decent chance to bounce back against Avery Bradley and the Celtics on the road.

Mon Dec 16 201318:32Kevin Martin (knee) up in the air for Monday
Coach Rick Adelman said he doesn't know if Kevin Martin (knee) will be available to play on Monday night.
He suffered a knee injury on Sunday and had been icing his knee during the game. Martin has some knee injuries in his past and has been bitten by the injury bug quite a bit in his career, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him miss this game against the Celtics. J.J. Barea and Alexey Shved should get most of the minutes at shooting guard with Martin out.

Sun Dec 15 201321:37Kevin Martin (knee) scoreless in 19 minutes
Kevin Martin was scoreless in 19 minutes on Sunday and appeared to aggravate his knee during the game.
K-Mart was seen icing his knee, which Rick Adelman said has bothered him in recent days, so until we have an update we're listing him as questionable for Monday's road game in Boston. J.J. Barea, Robbie Hummel and Alexey Shved all played more minutes off the bench with Martin limited, and Hummel would likely start if K-Mart is forced to miss any games.
