Thu Jan 15 201516:13Kevin Martin: (Wrist) Practices Pain-Free Thursday, Could Return Any Day
Martin (wrist) had a pain-free practice Thursday and could return any day now, but he also said it's unlikely he will return for their next game Friday, the Star Tribune reports. "I think I'm getting close, I think I impressed them today," Martin said. "I was back to K-Mart today. Today was a big step."
Martin's return is imminent, but he was non-committal whether or not he'd be able to return during their current road trip that has them playing the Suns on Friday, Nuggets on Saturday, and Hornets on Monday. If Martin is still sitting on the wire, it's probably time to add him. While there doesn't seem to be a guarantee of minutes with the team focused on developing their youth, Martin could find increased value if he gets traded to a contender before the trade deadline.
Tue Jan 13 201517:58Martin (wrist) upgraded to doubtful
Martin (wrist) has been upgraded to doubtful, but it is "still gonna be a while" before he returns to game action, according to coach Flip Saunders, T-Wolves announcer Alan Horton reports.
Saunders said all the doubtful tag means is that Martin is practicing but is still out. It sounds like Martin is closer to week-to-week than day-to-day at this point. Andrew Wiggins will likely remain the T-Wolves' starting shooting guard for the rest of the season, so it remains to be seen how big of a role Martin will have when he does return, and it might make sense for Minnesota to explore trade options if and when Martin can show that he is healthy.

Martin (wrist) remains out for Saturday's game against the Spurs.
Martin has only played in nine games for the Timberwolves this season and will likely be eased back into action when he makes his eventual return to the hardwood. He's at the point where he should be considered day-to-day with his next opportunity to play coming against the Pacers on Tuesday.

Martin (wrist) did some individual work in Wednesday's practice and may be close to returning, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "For some reason, he woke up today and said his hand just felt great and didn't have a lot of pain or anything," head coach Flip Saunders said. "We'll just have to wait and see."
It's not clear if he'll need to play a game in the D-League first. If not, it sounds like he could return in a week or so.

Martin's injured wrist is healing well and will be evaluated again in two weeks, the Minneapolis Star Tribune's Jerry Zgoda reports.
We're nearly six weeks from when Martin was given his original six-week timetable, so he's not going to hit that mark, but it does appear that a January return could be possible pending the results of his next evaluation.

Martin's broken wrist is making progress after surgery but he said it will be a "a slow process" that could take at least another six weeks, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Martin had a checkup with doctors this week and told the media that the injury is healing well, but reports appear to indicate he'll return later than the initial six weeks when he was hurt Nov. 20. Still, it's early in his recovery so a timetable isn't definitive at this point.
Mon Nov 24 201420:26Kevin Martin: (Wrist) Out Six Weeks
Martin will undergo surgery on his wrist, with an initial recovery timetable of six weeks, the Minneapolis Star Tribunereports.
The procedure chosen for Martin includes insertion of a screw, and the hope is that six weeks will suffice to get him back on the floor. Such a time line all but assures he won't play until after 2015 arrives, but in his place, Corey Brewer is poised to start at shooting guard.
Mon Nov 24 201414:25Martin (wrist) will visit with specialist Monday
Martin (wrist) will visit with a specialist Monday, Andy Greder of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Martin suffered a fractured wrist Wednesday against the Knicks and is currently without a firm return recovery timetable. Monday's visit should offer some clarity, but at this point it seems likely the shooting guard misses a significant chunk of time.
Fri Nov 21 201413:33Kevin Martin: Out Indefinitely With Fractured Wrist
Martin (wrist) has fractured his wrist and will be out indefinitely, ESPN reports.
Martin apparently suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Wednesday's game against the Knicks. There has yet to be a timetable for return set, so he's considered to be out indefinitely. In the coming few days, we should know more about the length of time Martin could be held out for.

Martin scored a season-high 37 points (14-20 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 2-6 FT) in the win Wednesday over the Knicks. He played 35 minutes and added four rebounds, two assists, and two steals while turning the ball over twice.
Martin has proven to be a prolific scorer his entire career. If he is still available in your fantasy league, go pick him up right now. Clearly, he is the go-to-guy in Minnesota.

Martin (illness) is expected to be available off the bench Wednesday against the Knicks.
Martin, along with a few teammates, is feeling a bit under the weather in advance of the Wednesday evening tilt, but will likely play barring any setbacks. Corey Brewer is also expected to be available off the bench, but fantasy owners should temper their expectations for both players considering their condition.
Wed Nov 19 201418:58Kevin Martin: (Illness) Questionable
Martin is questionable Wednesday due to an illness.
If he is unable to play, Andrew Wiggins and Chase Budinger would stand to see some more playing time.

Martin had his best scoring night of the young season, dropping 34 points (12-17 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT) with three rebounds, and one assist in 29 minutes.
Martin has been his usual, high-scoring self this season, averaging 18.6 points through his first eight games. His performance hasn't seemed to have been affected by the departure of Kevin Love, nor the injury to Ricky Rubio (ankle).

Martin scored just eight points on 2-of-9 shooting in Saturday's loss to Miami.
It was likely just an off night for Martin, but it's worth monitoring to see if his performance declines with Ricky Rubio out multiple weeks with an ankle injury.

Martin scored 26 points (8-20 FG, 4-9 3P, 6-6 FT) with seven rebounds and three assists in 38 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Nets.
That's back-to-back big games for Martin, who looks to be fully recovered from the ankle injury that caused him to miss the T-Wolves' opener. With Kevin Love no longer around, Martin could see enough shots this season to return to the 20+ PPG range.

Martin (ankle) played 20 minutes off the Minnesota bench and scored 12 points (3-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT) in the win over Detroit on Thursday.
Martin did not play in the opener against Memphis due to the ankle injury. Once he proves to be healthy, the veteran shooting guard should lead the Timberwolves in scoring.

Martin (ankle) will be available for Thursday's game against the Pistons.
Martin missed Wednesday's season opener after turning an ankle earlier in the week, but is expected to make his season debut Thursday versus Detroit. While Corey Brewer will start in Martin's usual shooting guard spot Thursday, Martin should still see a significant chunk of minutes off the Timberwolves' bench.

Martin (ankle) is inactive for Wednesday's season opener.
He twisted his ankle in Tuesday's practice, and should be considered day-to-day.

Martin is testing his ankle prior to Wednesday's game and will be a game-time decision.
He twisted the ankle in Tuesday's practice and if he doesn't play, Corey Brewer will get the start at shooting guard.

Martin (groin) scored 13 points in 21 minutes and was 4-of-10 from the field in Sunday's preseason win over Oklahoma City.
It was Martin's preseason debut as he had been held out with a sore groin muscle. He'll likely be given plenty of rest during the preseason, but should be fine for the start of the regular season.
