Tue Jan 14 201400:53Belinelli posts mild line in 30 minutes
Marco Belinelli scored 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting (including two threes) with two rebounds, two assists and a steal in 30 minutes off the bench on Monday.
This isn't the line owners were hoping for after acquiring Bello, but the minutes look good and he should be better than this on most nights.

Wed Jan 8 201421:53Marco Belinelli scores 17 off Spurs bench
Marco Belinelli hit 6-of-9 shots and two 3-pointers for 17 points, one rebound and three assists off the bench in Tuesday's easy win over the Mavericks.
Danny Green got the start over Belinelli with Manu Ginobili out, but Belinelli still found a way to have a nice game. He's been guilty of the occasional quiet night, but in most cases, he's a lot more trustworthy than guys like Green. Even with a five- and 10-point line over the last five games, he's averaging 16.6 points, 3.8 assists and 2.6 3-pointers over that stretch, making him worth a close look in any fantasy league.

Wed Jan 8 201401:02Marco Belinelli scores 19 in OT win
Marco Belinelli started and played 30 minutes on Tuesday, hitting 8-of-15 shots and two 3-pointers for 19 points, four rebounds and four assists.
Belinelli has become an all-or-nothing player for Gregg Popovich, scoring 19, 5, 32, 10 and 4 points in each of his last five games. He's a good source of threes and can be counted on for at least one big line each week, but the rest of his games might be duds. The good news for Bello is that Manu Ginobili suffered a hamstring injury tonight, making him sound doubtful for Wednesday against Dallas. And if Manu's out, Belinelli looks like a must-start player.

Sat Jan 4 201423:49Marco Belinelli quiet in win over Clippers
A game after he scored 32 points, Marco Belinelli hit just 2-of-5 shots and one 3-pointer for five points, two rebounds and seven assists in 25 minutes of Saturday's easy win over the Clippers.
Trying to figure out when Bello is going to get hot is not easy, as his game log proves. Over his last nine games, he's scored 28, 17, 4, 9, 4, 4, 10, 32 and 5 points, meaning that sticking him your fantasy lineup is sort of like playing the lottery.

Tue Dec 24 201303:03Marco Belinelli comes back to Earth in win
Marco Belinelli made his fourth start of the season on Monday vs. the Raptors with four points, one board, one assist and one steal in 19 minutes.
In Belinelli's previous three starts, he's averaged 11.0 points, 4.3 boards, 2.3 assists, 0.7 steals and 2.3 triples in 29.0 minutes. Coach Gregg Popovich's rotation at shooting guard has been messy and unpredictable, so it might be best to just avoid this situation entirely in standard leagues.

Sun Dec 22 201300:29Marco Belinelli stays hot in start for Spurs
Marco Belinelli was in the starting lineup on Saturday and had 17 points, four rebounds, a steal and five 3-pointers on 6-of-13 shooting.
He blew up off the bench on Thursday with a career-high 28 points and four 3-pointers, and started tonight due to Kawhi Leonard being out due to a dental procedure. Belinelli is hot and is worth a look by anyone in need of 3-pointers, but all it would take to quiet him down is a return to form from Danny Green. But since Green really hasn't shown signs of making that happen, Belinelli looks like a solid player to hold in fantasy right now.

Fri Dec 20 201301:33Marco Belinelli scores career-high 28 points
Marco Belinelli carried the Spurs on offense in the second half during a surprising 104-102 win at ORACLE Arena on Thursday, scoring a career-high 28 points with two rebounds, one assist and four 3-pointers on 10-of-16 shooting in 29 minutes.
He is cooking in his first year with the Spurs thanks to a blistering 53.5 percent from the field from 3-point range. His minutes have been slowly creeping upward from his 21 minutes per game in November to 24 in December. Over his last five the trend is even more exaggerated with 26.4 minutes per game, averaging 13.0 points, 2.8 boards and 2.4 triples. It's still tough to pick him up in standard leagues given Gregg Popovich's unpredictable rotations.

Sat Nov 30 201323:30Marco Belinelli stays hot in loss to Rockets
Marco Belinelli hit 7-of-13 shots and four 3-pointers for 18 points, three rebounds and one assist in 27 minutes off the Spurs bench on Saturday.
Belinelli is averaging 13.4 points, 2.2 assists and 2.8 3-pointers over his last five games while shooting a blistering 53 percent during the stretch. He'll be somewhat unreliable coming off the bench for Gregg Popovich, but is in enough of a groove that he could be picked up and started in many leagues right now. Belinelli and the Spurs play three games next week.

Fri Nov 29 201322:45Marco Belinelli scores 19 points vs. Orlando
Marco Belinelli scored 19 points against the Magic on Friday, adding two boards, two assists, one steal and four 3-pointers on 6-of-8 shooting.
He has been playing well this season, entering tonight shooting 50 percent from downtown and scoring 7.9 points per game in 20.3 minutes. Belinelli tends to have a good game out of nowhere, so his unpredictable production has been more of a thorn in the side of Danny Green's value than anything else.

Sun Nov 3 201301:15Marco Belinelli gets hot in the fourth
Marco Bellinelli scored 15 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter on Saturday to go with three rebounds, four assists, two steals and three 3-pointers on 8-of-12 shooting.
He was on fire and almost helped the Spurs pull off a miracle comeback. Great quarter aside, Belinelli has just 11 points in the other 11 quarters this season. The Spurs are a fairly deep team, so it'll be tough to count on him in fantasy unless coach Gregg Popovich sits some of his guys.

Tue Oct 22 201323:25Marco Belinelli scores 16 points off bench
Marco Belinelli hit 6-of-10 shots and two 3-pointers for 16 points, two rebounds, two assists and a steal in Tuesday's preseason win.
Belinelli is going to split time with Manu Ginobili off the bench, meaning it may be tough for either player to get too hot. But we could see Belinelli getting more regular-season minutes than Ginobili, as Gregg Popovich probably has more interest in preserving Manu for the playoffs, despite last season's Finals disaster. If you need a 3-point shooter late, Belinelli could be your guy.

Thu Oct 3 201310:40Belinelli to be in Spurs' plans significantly
Head coach Gregg Popovich said that Marco Belinelli will be in the Spurs' plans "significantly."
"He's going to enter in our plans significantly, and quickly," Popovich said. It's no secret that Manu Ginobili is getting older, and the addition of Belinelli figures to alleviate Manu. Despite Pop's comment, it's going to be hard to see Bello put up stats since he'll be the team's sixth scoring option at best.

Mon Sep 16 201323:53Marco Belinelli scores 16 in victory
Marco Belinelli scored 16 points in 35 minutes with six rebounds and two 3-pointers in Italy's 86-81 victory over Spain on Monday.
He has averaged 14.1 points and 1.5 3-pointers per game in the tournament and is one of the leaders for the Italian team. Belinelli will help fill the role of the departed Gary Neal for the Spurs as a scorer off the bench that can stretch the defense. As a reserve last year, Belinelli averaged 7.6 points and a mere 0.8 3-pointers per game, and he should not be on fantasy radars.

Sat Jul 13 201310:54Belinelli hopes Spurs let him play for Italy
Marco Belinelli hopes to play for Italy during September's EuroBasket tournament.
He's awaiting permission from the Spurs, who aren't fans of their veterans playing overseas during the summer. It's possible that they'll view Belinelli's participation more kindly, though, since he's still 27 years old and has never averaged 30 minutes per game during his six-year NBA career.

Thu Jul 11 201315:22Marco Belinelli officially signs with Spurs
Spurs officially announce Marco Belinelli contract.
The Spurs didn't announce terms, but Belinelli's deal is believed to be for two years and $6 million. He won't be worth drafting in most formats, but Belinelli should be a nice piece for the Spurs behind Manu Ginobili.

Thu Jul 4 201315:42Marco Belinelli agrees to terms with Spurs
Marco Belinelli has agreed to terms with the Spurs on a two-year, $6 million contract.
He won't be starting and his minutes are likely going to be inconsistent with the Spurs. Belinelli will basically serve as an insurance policy for Manu Ginobili and he's expected to resume a similar role that Gary Neal played last season. Bello won't be worth drafting in fantasy leagues.

Thu Jul 4 201315:28Spurs pursuing UFA Marco Belinelli
The Spurs are discussing a contract with unrestricted free agent Marco Belinelli.
The Bulls won't be bringing Belinelli back after their agreement with Mike Dunleavy and the Nets are reportedly no longer in pursuit of the Italian. He wouldn't have much playing go his way with Danny Green breaking out last season and Manu Ginobili coming off the bench.

Wed Jul 3 201316:11Report: Nets out, Pacers in on Belinelli
The Nets are not longer pursuing Marco Belinelli, but the Pacers are talking to the Italian shooting guard, according to an Italian media outlet.
The Nets, who also chased Kyle Korver, are clearly searching for a perimeter threat. Belinelli proved to be a reliable perimeter threat for the Bulls last season but may have been too rich for Brooklyn's limited resources. The Pacers are an intriguing option considering how dreadful their bench was last season, particularly from beyond the 3-point line. Belinelli averaged 9.6 points, 2.0 assists, 1.9 rebounds and 1.1 3-pointers in 25 minutes per game last season.

Fri May 17 201308:49Report: Belinelli not expected to return
The Chicago Sun-Times believes Marco Belinelli will be with another team next season.
Belinelli showed his worth as an option on the perimeter next season and filled in admirably while playing a larger role than he should have in Chicago, and it's possible he's played his way into a multi-year deal with another team as a result. The Bulls will likely have to remake their bench once again.
