Tue Mar 13 201221:26Ekpe Udoh traded to Milwaukee Bucks
Ekpe Udoh has been traded to the Bucks in a deal that included Monta Ellis going to Milwaukee, and Andrew Bogut and Stephen Jackson going to Golden State.
There is real potential for Udoh to take a fantasy hit in Milwaukee, where Ersan Ilyasova and Drew Gooden have been valiantly holding things down in the paint. While we don't recommend flat-out dumping Udoh, owners should expect a bench role initially, and he might become droppable quickly. Additionally, if he's currently in your lineup, he'll miss Tuesday's game for the Warriors, and doesn't appear likely to play for the Bucks on Wednesday, either. If you feel like you have to cut him to pick up a player with a better outlook, do it.

Mon Mar 12 201200:38Ekpe Udoh scores 14 pts for Warriors
Ekpe Udoh scored 14 points in Sunday's upset win over the Clippers, making 7-of-10 FGs while grabbing six rebounds and blocking two shots.
Udoh doesn't typically score much, but he hits 72 percent of his FTs and gets enough rebounds and blocks to have mid-round value in nine-cat leagues. Not bad for a center you plucked off the waiver wire.

Thu Mar 8 201202:53Udoh plays well in 34 minutes Wednesday
Ekpe Udoh had nine points, six rebounds, four assists and four blocks on 2-of-7 shooting in Wednesday's loss to the Grizzlies.
The minutes are the key here, and Udoh looks like a must-add by any owners needing a center. He had 17 points, six boards and a block on Monday, and the minutes should be there the rest of the way.

Mon Mar 5 201223:43Udoh scores 17 pts as W's new starting center
Ekpe Udoh scored 17 points on 5-of-10 shooting (7-of-7 from the foul line) with six rebounds, one assist, and one block in 27 minutes against the Wizards on Monday.
The Wizards are a ridiculous mess, but this is a good start for Udoh and he would have had a few more blocks if the stat-keeping was accurate. Owners in blocks formats that need a big man should have already added Udoh.

Mon Mar 5 201218:33Ekpe Udoh named starter for rest of season
Coach Mark Jackson said that Ekpe Udoh will start at center for the rest of the season, unless he "falls off completely."
Jackson has finally made the permanent move to the raw upside of Udoh instead of Andris Biedrins' maddening lack of production. Udoh's per-36 minute extrapolations this season are 8.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.9 blocks and 1.2 steals. Now locked in as the starter, look for him to hover around 30 minutes nightly. There's upside here for those in need of blocks.

Sun Mar 4 201220:36Ekpe Udoh starts at center in Warriors' loss
The Warriors lost Sunday's game with Ekpe Udoh at center, as Udoh posted seven points (2-of-7 FGs), three assists, one steal and one block in 31 minutes.
This wasn't a great line, but Udoh is averaging 1.7 blocks in just 20 minutes per game this season, numbers that make him worth grabbing if you need a big man. Just be aware that his offensive game is still very rough (43 percent FGs, 66 percent FTs).

Sun Mar 4 201218:12Ekpe Udoh starts, Biedrins benched for GSW
Ekpe Udoh will start at center for the Warriors on Sunday, moving Andris Biedrins to a bench role.
It's about time Mark Jackson yanked Biedrins, who has done nothing to justify his starting gig. Udoh has tremendous upside for his rebounds and blocks, and is worth grabbing if you're in need of a center.

Sat Mar 3 201201:50Udoh plays just 19 minutes on Friday
Ekpe Udoh played just 19 minutes on Friday, scoring six points on 3-of-6 shooting with two rebounds, a steal, and a block.
Udoh knocked knees once again but it apparently wasn't a big deal, as members of the Golden State media asked openly why Udoh wasn't playing. We'll have to see how things unfold over the next 24 hours, but it appears as if Udoh was simply overlooked by Jackson, who tends to do that sort of thing.

Wed Feb 29 201223:59Ekpe Udoh posts big line in win over Hawks
Ekpe Udoh played 31 minutes and had 12 points, eight rebounds, three steals and three blocks in Wednesday's win over the Heat.
Udoh's minutes were limited on Tuesday as the Warriors were blown out by the Pacers, but he should be in line for as much run as he can handle the rest of the way. If you need a center, this is your sign.

Wed Feb 29 201201:50Ekpe Udoh plays 17 minutes in blowout
Ekpe Udoh played 17 minutes and had eight points, two rebounds and a block in Tuesday's blowout loss to the Pacers.
He's dealing with some knee soreness and the score allowed him to get an extended rest tonight. He is worth owning in many leagues, especially by owners in need of blocks. Just expect plenty of inconsistency along the way.

Thu Feb 23 201202:05Ekpe Udoh aggravates knee injury in win
Ekpe Udoh banged his already sore left knee with Sebastian Telfair's knee on Wednesday, and while he was able to finish the game, he failed to score and had just four rebounds and a block in the win.
He banged knees with another player on Monday and was clearly in pain after doing it again tonight. However, it doesn't appear that there's anything structurally wrong with his knee and Mark Jackson is still thinking about starting him at center over Andris Biedrins. If you picked up Udoh, we'd recommend holding him despite tonight's poor line. He was in pain, but also had 19 points, eight boards and two blocks in his last one, and could have a nice second half if he lands the starting job. We're also guessing he'll be ready for Tuesday's game at Indy.

Tue Feb 21 201215:35Ekpe Udoh misses practice with knee sprain
Ekpe Udoh (knee) did not practice Tuesday.
Udoh's sprained left knee is not considered serious, but it is really bad timing for the second-year shot-blocker. If healthy, it sounded like coach Mark Jackson was seriously contemplating starting Udoh over incumbent Andris Biedrins. Now beat writer Marcus Thompson is predicting that Biedrins (probable, flu) will start Wednesday's game against the Suns.

Tue Feb 21 201201:57Udoh has career-best night with 19 and eight
Ekpe Udoh had a career-best night with 19 points, eight rebounds, a steal, and two blocks in his start for Andris Biedrins (stomach), but he hurt his knee late and though it doesn't sound serious his status is day-to-day.
Udoh was a big reason the Warriors won tonight and Mark Jackson was conflicted when asked if he would start going forward. We don't foresee Udoh playing full-time starter's minutes because the Warriors would get destroyed by any team with a reasonable big man, so 30 minutes per game is the target here for owners. Consider him a speculative add in 12-team leagues with an emphasis on blocks, keeping in mind that right now the knee injury doesn't sound serious.

Mon Feb 20 201222:01Ekpe Udoh to start over Biedrins on Monday
Ekpe Udoh will replace Andris Biedrins (flu) in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Clippers.
Udoh has blocked 1.7 shots per game in just 19 minutes per contest, and that's really the only draw here. His 4.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 38.2 percent field goal shooting aren't doing owners any favors, and it's going to be near impossible for Udoh to get big minutes playing out of position at center.

Sat Feb 18 201200:42Ekpe Udoh blocks four more shots in loss
Ekpe Udoh failed to scored and had four rebounds, but also blocked four more shots in Friday's loss.
He has now blocked 13 shots over his last four games. The offense is frightenly non-existent, but if you're desperate for blocks, he could fill a fantasy need in some roto leagues.

Wed Feb 15 201207:18Ekpe Udoh turning into block machine
Ekpe Udoh has nine blocks over his last three games and is averaging 4.01 blocks per 48 minutes.
Udoh joins Serge Ibaka, JaVale McGee, DeAndre Jordan, Samuel Dalembert and Bismack Biyombo as the only players to average more than four blocks per 48 minutes this season. Udoh has played more than 20 minutes in each of his last three games and seems to be earning an increased role under Mark Jackson. If he can log that time consistently, he would become a real source of blocks for owners, and his playing time is worth monitoring. Udoh is averaging 1.6 blocks per game this season in just 19 minutes per game.

Tue Feb 14 201202:21Udoh plays well down the stretch for Warriors
Ekpe Udoh scored nine points on 3-of-6 shooting with four rebounds, one steal, and three blocks in 22 minutes off the bench on Monday against the Suns.
Udoh played well down the stretch and probably secured more minutes, but unfortunately he's not big enough to unseat starter Andris Biedrins. But if Udoh can carve out a 25-30 minute role with his play, he could become a more viable source of blocks for owners.
