Sat Mar 26 201104:39Udoh posts decent line, Biedrins back soon
Ekpe Udoh posted a decent line in the Warriors' blowout win on Friday, scoring 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting with five rebounds, three assists, one steal, and four blocks in 29 minutes.
It's hard to evaluate a blowout that almost reached a 50-point difference at one stretch, and with Andris Biedrins possibly coming back soon there is some spoilage at the party, but Udoh's recent solid play should make him worth a look to anybody needing blocks or a big man.

Thu Mar 24 201101:15Ekpe Udoh playing better for Warriors
Ekpe Udoh had nine points, five boards and two more blocks in Wednesday's loss.
He's starting to play better and should be a decent center options in league's with limited resources on the waiver wire. He had 15 points, seven boards and two blocks on Monday, and eight points and three blocks on Sunday.

Tue Mar 22 201103:23Udoh posts first decent game as center
Ekpe Udoh scored 15 points on 7-of-14 shooting with seven rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two blocks in 38 minutes of action on Monday against the Spurs.
This one of his best 2-3 games as a pro, and while he'll have every opportunity to post lines like these, the reality is that he should be playing PF for the Warriors -- and David Lee probably never should have been signed. Regardless, playing center for the Warriors isn't helping Udoh at all, and he's no more than a blocks specialist right now.

Mon Mar 21 201110:28Udoh starting at center for rest of season
The Golden State Warriors intend to start Ekpe Udoh at center going forward regardless of whether Andris Biedrins (ankle) is playing.
Udoh's a one trick pony and the pony's name is blocks. He won't get you much else but if that's all you're looking for he's probably available and should get plenty of run for the remainder of the season.

Sun Mar 20 201122:42Ekpe Udoh swats three more shots
Ekpe Udoh had eight points, one rebound and three blocks in Sunday's loss to the Mavericks.
With Andris Biedrins (ankle) likely done for the season, Udoh is a good bet to start the rest of the way. However, he's a poor bet to put up serviceable offensive numbers at any point. Consider him a strict shot-blocking specialist.

Wed Mar 9 201101:55Udoh getting blocks, but not much more
Ekpe Udoh blocked two shots on Tuesday, but added just four points on 2-of-4 shooting wit two rebounds in 20 minutes.
He's splitting time with Andris Biedrins (two points, two boards, one block, 20 minutes), and neither are appealing options unless you're desperate for blocks.

Tue Mar 8 201118:53Udoh starting again for Warriors
Ekpe Udoh will start for the Warriors again on Tuesday, joined by Stephen Curry, Monta Ellis, Dorell Wright and David Lee.
Udoh is due for a breakout game and it could happen against the Cavs, who will start Ramon Sessions, Alonzo Gee, Anthony Parker, Samardo Samuels and J.J. Hickson.

Fri Mar 4 201122:50Starter Udoh plays just 13 minutes vs. Boston
New starter Ekpe Udoh played just 13 minutes on Friday with just three rebounds, a steal, and two missed shots to his credit.
He's going to have nights when Keith Smart decides he is in over his head, and tonight was one of them. Keep watching him if you need blocks, but realize he has a ways to go before he's a safe fantasy asset.

Wed Mar 2 201123:07Ekpe Udoh struggles in start at center
Ekpe Udoh started at center over Andris Biedrins on Wednesday and had six points, two rebounds and three blocks in 30 minutes.
He was in some foul trouble and still got 30 minutes, while Andris Biedrins played 13 useless minutes off the bench. Udoh is only going to get better and dumping Biedrins (or another struggling player) for him is advisable.

Wed Mar 2 201118:41Ekpe Udoh to start for Warriors
Ekpe Udoh is listed as the starting center for the Warriors on Wednesday, replacing Andris Biedrins in the lineup.
We've been hinting at this being a possibility and it comes to fruition tonight. Udoh is a shot-blocking specialist and is worth a look in most leagues with this news. And there's a decent chance he keeps the job the rest of the season, likely rendering Biedrins useless. Of course, as his owners will attest, he was already there anyway.

Wed Mar 2 201100:22Udoh could be close to starting for Biedrins
Ekpe Udoh scored four points on 2-of-3 shooting with four rebounds, one assist, and three blocks in 18 minutes off the bench on Tuesday.
NBC/Comcast's Matt Steinmetz, who is plugged into the Warriors scene about as well as anybody, thinks it's time to make the switch and after Andris Biedrins' recent struggles he may be predicting the future. Udoh has averaged a block a game in just 14 mpg, and has a surprisingly effective post game. If he starts, he'll be worth a look for his blocks, with anything else he adds being a bonus.

Sun Feb 13 201122:43Ekpe Udoh logs 27 minutes, fails to do much
Warriors rookie Ekpe Udoh logged 27 minutes on Sunday, more than starter Andris Biedrins (seven rebounds in 20 minutes).
That's the good news, but Udoh was scoreless (0-of-4 shooting) with four rebounds, one steal, and one block. He's very intriguing but (for now) should be avoided outside of deep leagues.
Sat Feb 12 201119:38Ekpe Udoh could be getting some starts
Ekpe Udoh appears to be in line for more minutes and could start at center over Andris Biedrins, or get more minutes at power forward.
Either way, it appears that Udoh's stock is on the rise. If you're in a deep league and need a big man, keep a close eye on him.

Thu Jan 27 201114:48Udoh to get more minutes over Biedrins?
Owner Joe Lacob has told Keith Smart that he would like to see Ekpe Udoh get more minutes.
Smart hasn't really listened to Lacob so far, but the coach's patience with Andris Biedrins has to be wearing thin. Biedrins isn't rebounding or defending well and we all know he can't score. Udoh, the No. 6 overall pick, should start eating into the starter's minutes more and more as the season moves on.

Wed Jan 12 201110:12Udoh won't be a starter anytime soon
Coach Keith Smart said he needs to "slow down" the expectations on rookie Ekpe Udoh.
Some media and fans in the Bay Area are clamoring for Udoh to start at center over Andris Biedrins. Smart quickly brushed that idea off, citing Udoh's preseason wrist injury. "We're trying to make this guy become a great player right now who had no training camp, no preseason." Udoh, a poor bet for more than 12-15 minutes a night, belongs on waivers.

Fri Dec 31 201017:49Ekpe Udoh quiet in 18 minutes off bench
Warriors rookie Ekpe Udoh logged 18 minutes off the Warriors bench on Friday but compiled just four points and three rebounds.
Udoh did block a shot, but he's very raw offensively and doesn't figure to be more than a deep-league option this season.
Tue Dec 28 201013:19Udoh will stick in rotation
Warriors coach Keith Smart said that Ekpe Udoh will stick in the regular rotation even when Andris Biedrins (ankle) returns.
Udoh, the No. 6 overall pick in the draft, has been a defensive force off the bench for Smart. Biedrins won't lose his starting job due to injury, but it looks like he is going to lose minutes. There is no timetable for Biedrins return yet.

Warriors rookie Ekpe Udoh is "moving up the rotation fast," according to coach Keith Smart.
Udoh's conditioning is a work in progress, after he missed the first two months of the season with a wrist injury. He blocks shots and has a versatile, fantasy-friendly game, so keep a close watch on him over the next few weeks.

Wed Dec 22 201001:38Udoh gets another three blocks vs. SAC
Ekpe Udoh got another three blocks on Tuesday, and also chipped in with five rebounds, one assist, and one steal, but did not score any points and did not attempt a shot in 23 minutes.
Aside from his first three games in which he played just a total of eight minutes, he has a pair of games with three blocks in about 24 minutes per game. His minutes will get hit as guys get healthy, but keep an eye on him if you need a blocks specialist.
Tue Dec 21 201001:29Udoh posts nice line in backup duty
Ekpe Udoh posted a nice line off the bench on Monday, scoring five points on 2-of-4 shooting with seven rebounds, four assists, and three blocks in 25 minutes.
There are a few things working against him, namely the fact that the Warriors are banged up and the fact that David Lee isn't going anywhere, but he has shown enough ability that we'll be watching to see if he can carve out some value as a blocks specialist.
