Mon Dec 8 201418:20Kenneth Faried: (Back) Out Monday
Faried (back) won't suit up Monday in Toronto, TSN Sports reports.
Faried is missing back-to-back games due to a strained lower back, but because he was seemingly a game-time call Monday, a similar situation could come to pass for the Nuggets' next tilt Wednesday against the Heat. In his place, J.J. Hickson should garner another start at power forward.
Sun Dec 7 201419:30Faried (back) questionable to play Monday
Faried (back) is questionable to play Monday, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports.
Faried, who is not playing Sunday against Atlanta, strained his lower back during a fall in practice Saturday. When queried about his status for Monday's matchup with Toronto, Faried said, "we'll see tomorrow." The forward will likely go through shootaround, at which point a decision on his status will be made. If he's held out again, expect J.J. Hickson to make another spot start.
Sun Dec 7 201414:22Kenneth Faried: (Back) Out Against Hawks
Faried (back) will not play Sunday against the Hawks.
Faried recently strained his lower back and should be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's game against the Raptors. In his absence, J.J. Hickson and Darrell Arthur could see more time on the court.
Sun Dec 7 201412:13Kenneth Faried: (Back) Questionable For Sunday
Faried is dealing with a lower-back strain and is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Hawks, the Denver Post reports.
With Faried's availability in question for Sunday, J.J. Hickson and Darrell Arthur would likely benefit from Faried's absence. If Faried does in fact sit out, his next opportunity to get on the court will be against the Raptors on Monday.

Faried ended the night with 8 points and one rebound in the Nuggets overtime victory against the Lakers on Sunday.
This may only add fuel to the fire about Faried's ongoing issue with the front office, but from a basketball perspective, Faried just hasn't been able to log enough minutes to generate any consistent production. Owners should treat this situation as an opportunity to buy low. His averages this year have been 11.9 points and 7.5 rebounds, which is not as big of a drop off as it seems from last year at 13.7 points and 8.6 rebounds. On the brightside, it seems as though his production is the result of a lack of minutes more than anything.

Faried played with a lot of energy on Sunday, finishing with 16 points (7-9 FG, 2-5 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, and two steals in 32 minutes.
Faried has seen his rebounding numbers take a hit this season, as he's averaging only 6.8 rebounds per game thus far in the month of November. Since his 17 rebound outburst to begin the season, he has only reached double figures in boards one other time this season, while his blocks and steals have also taken a dip as well. With the Nuggets playing themselves into a hole to begin the year this may be only an attitude thing and hopefully something Faried can correct, for his team as well as his fantasy owners.

Faried scored just four points (1-5 FG, 2-2 FT), with five rebounds, one assist and one block in 21 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Kings.
Faried had been having a solid year to this point, but the Nuggets' rotation seems to make him a tough decision for fantasy owners. This game got ugly quick though, and Faried spent the bulk of the game watching from the sidelines. He'll be worth watching moving forward, but in most situations you'll want to give him a go.

Faried (ankle) practiced Sunday and is no longer dealing with an ankle injury, the Denver Post's Chris Dempsey reports.
Faried sat out Friday's exhibition matchup after suffering a sprained ankle in practice last week. However, coach Brian Shaw indicated Sunday that Faried is fine and shouldn't be hampered by the injury going forward.
Fri Oct 10 201422:08Kenneth Faried: (Ankle) Held Out Friday
Faried (ankle) will not play in Friday's exhibition game, the Arizona Republic reports.
The Nuggets will hold Faried out for precautionary reasons to prevent his injury from becoming any worse. It remains to be seen if he will be able to give it a go for the Nuggets' next preseason game Monday.
Fri Oct 10 201415:50Kenneth Faried: Has Sprained Ankle
Faried is dealing with a sprained ankle and he is questionable for Friday's exhibition game, NBA.com's Matt Petersen reports.
He was sporting socks and sandals at the end of Friday's shootaround, but his status for the game is up in the air. It doesn't sound like a major sprain, but it's a situation worth following in the coming weeks.
Tue Oct 7 201419:50Faried will sign four-year
Faried will sign a four-year, $50 million deal with the Nuggets, Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
It was first reported to be a five-year deal, but Wojnarowski has now learned that it will instead be for four years. Faried will be a free agent at the age of 28, but this has very little to do with his fantasy value, which could be trending up after a summer with Team USA.
Mon Oct 6 201410:22Faried has agreed to five-year
Faried has agreed to a five-year, $60 million extension with the Nuggets, Yahoo! Sports reports.
Faried's extension comes before the Oct. 31 deadline for eligible members of the 2011 Draft class to sign long-term deals. The 22nd overall pick out of Morehead State, Faried's scoring average has improved every season, topped by 13.7 points last term. Additionally, Faried has emerged into one of the league's most aggressive rebounds, averaging 8.6 boards both last season and for his three-year career thus far. The 24-year-old was an instrumental part of the United States' recent gold medal finish at the FIBA World Cup and will now start at power forward for the Nuggets for years to come.
Fri Jun 27 201420:52Nuggets looking to negotiate with Faried
General manager Tim Connelly said the Nuggets are scheduled to meet with Kenneth Faried's agent next week and are hoping to sign him to an extension.
The Nuggets will have until October 31st to sign him or else he would become a restricted free agent next summer. The team would be paying Faried at his peak value after he easily put up the best stretch of his career after the break, averaging 18.8 points, 10.1 boards, 1.1 steals, 0.7 blocks and 2.4 turnovers on 54.6 percent from the field in that span. His big second half could carry over into next season, but fantasy owners probably shouldn't reach too much.

Thu Jun 19 201400:17Denver making a decent offer for Love
In addition to Wilson Chandler and Kenneth Faried, the Nuggets are offering the Wolves Arron Afflalo after they would acquire him from the Magic.
The Nuggets also have the 11th pick to play with, but that may be needed to bring in Afflalo. If the Nuggets unload all of those players, they're not really going to be the much of a contender. As for the Wolves side, this would be one of their better offers yet. Love will be gone soon and it's just a matter of getting the right deal.

Tue Jun 10 201415:12Kenneth Faried aims to be an NBA 'superstar'
Kenneth Faried wants to be known as an All-Star and a superstar in the NBA, rather than "the energy guy."
"As a superstar, you're supposed to have everything," he said. "You're supposed to work on everything and get better at everything, and that's what I plan on doing." Nuggets GM Tim Connelly confirmed in May that he hopes to extend Faried's contract this summer. Faried is scheduled to earn $2.3 million next season, a relative pittance compared to his production, so he may be inclined to lock up a more lucrative long-term deal.

Sun May 11 201414:04GM Tim Connelly: 'we are open for business'
Nuggets GM Tim Connelly implied in a recent interview that the Nuggets are looking to be active trade partners this offseason.
"This summer, we're going to go all-in and try to take the next step," Connelly said. "I've already let all the other guys in different front offices around the league know that we're open for business." JaVale McGee and Kenneth Faried are likely to be popular names to swirl around the rumor mill this offseason, however, with how low McGee's perceived value is now, Faried is a much more likely trade candidate.

Sat May 10 201411:51Nuggets hope to extend Kenneth Faried
Nuggets GM Tim Connelly hopes to extend Kenneth Faried's contract this season, saying, "Kenneth's energy and toughness ... embodies who we're trying to be."
If the two sides can't reach an agreement, Faried will make $2.3 million in the final guaranteed year of his rookie-scale contract, before heading into restricted free agency in 2015. Faried got off to a slow start last season, but he returned top-50 fantasy value over the final two months with averages of 18.8 points on 54.6 percent shooting, 10.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.7 blocks.

The Nuggets plan to discuss a long-term extension with Kenneth Faried this summer.

Fri Apr 18 201411:56Nuggets can negotiate with Faried this summer
The Nuggets can begin extension negotiations with Kenneth Faried in July.
Faried is entering the final year of his rookie contract in 2014-15. He's coming off a spectacular second half of the season that saw him average 18.8 points, 10.1 rebounds and 1.1 steals while shooting 54.6 percent after the All-Star break. If Faried believes he can sustain that level of play -- and there's little reason to think he can't -- then he'd be better off playing out his contract and hitting unrestricted free agency in the summer of 2015.

Wed Apr 16 201401:20Kenneth Faried with 21 & 6 in loss
Kenneth Faried had 21 points and six rebounds on 7-of-12 shooting in Tuesday's loss to the Clippers.
The Nuggets have nothing to play for, but Faried is hot and may want to go out on a high note against the Warriors on Wednesday.
