Parsons was "pretty swollen and sore behind the knee" following Thursday's game after exiting the contest in the third quarter, ESPN Dallas reports.

Parsons' injury cost him the remainder of Thursday's contest, and it will likely require rest and icing to bring down the swelling over the next couple days. The Mavs' next game comes Saturday against the Warriors, and he looks to be questionable for the contest at this point.

Parsons went to the locker room during the third quarter of Thursday's game against the Rockets and will not return due to right knee soreness, Earl K. Sneed of the Mavs' official site reports.

Parsons's soreness will keep him out of the remainder of Thursday's game at a minimum, and he'll have a day of rest before the club takes the floor Saturday against the Warriors. It's unclear what exactly the soreness entails, but his status for Saturday's contest should clear up within the next couple days.

Parsons scored 22 points (10-15 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT) with four rebounds, six assists and one steal in 37 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Thunder.

Parson's field goal efficiency has increased by three percent since the All-star break and thus his scoring to 16.1 points per game. He has not quite lived up to his average draft position this season, but has given solid mid-round value.

Parsons recorded his first double-double since Feb. 9 Sunday in a loss to the Pacers. He had 27 points (11-20 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-5 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and a block in 37 minutes.

Parson's scoring as really picked up this month. He's averaging 17.2 points per game in March, up from 14.1 in February and 14.6 in January.

Parsons scored 18 points in his second game back from injury Tuesday. He finished 7-of-12 from the field, including 3-of-4 from behind the arc in the loss to Cleveland.

Parsons looked much more aggressive in his second game back and remains a solid play in all formats.
