Mon Dec 2 201319:55Jerome Williams non-tendered by Angels
Angels non-tendered RHP Jerome Williams.
Williams was slated to earn around $4 million in his final year of arbitration, and the Halos thought that was too much since he'd likely be their long man. The right-hander posted a 4.46 ERA and 1.34 WHIP over the last three seasons for the Angels and could be able to land on his feet as a No. 5 starter somewhere.

Sat Nov 30 201301:13Jerome Williams hopes to be non-tendered
Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish reports that Larry O'Brien, the agent for Jerome Williams, hopes that his client is non-tendered by the Angels.
O'Brien believes that there are many teams that he could be an effective starting pitcher for, and that there would be plenty of interest in Williams on the open market. The 31-year-old hurler went 9-10 with a 4.57 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 107/55 K/BB ratio over 169 1/3 innings this season. He remains nothing but a middling option in most fantasy formats.

Jerome Williams allowed six runs over five innings but backed into a win against the Blue Jays on Tuesday.
Williams became Brian Kenny's latest talking point on Tuesday, as he stuck around just long enough to earn his seventh win of the season. The majority of the damage was done on an Anthony Gose grand slam in the second inning, but Williams gave up nine hits in total. He remains an afterthought for fantasy purposes.

Wed Aug 21 201322:27Jerome Williams gets tough-luck loss
Jerome Williams was dealt a tough-luck loss Thursday, holding the Indians to two runs over six innings.
The right-hander struck out six while giving up six hits and two walks, with the lone blemish against him coming in the form of a Nick Swisher two-run homer in the third inning. The outing ends a rough three-game stretch for Williams that saw him surrender 12 runs over 15 1/3 frames. The Angels are expected to skip him following the off day, so Williams' next start probably won't come until next weekend in Milwaukee.

Jerome Williams lasted just 4 1/3 innings against the Astros on Friday and allowed three runs and four walks.
The Angels picked Williams over Tommy Hanson earlier this week, but Williams hasn't done anything to justify much faith lately. He's lost eight straight decisions since June 12, and he has an 8.34 ERA in nine starts since the beginning of July. He'll probably spend September back in the bullpen.

Jerome Williams will make his next start on Saturday against the Red Sox.
Williams was destroyed by the Cardinals on Wednesday, surrendering seven runs in just 1 2/3 innings. The short outing and limited pitch count however, allow him to come back on short rest to fill-in on Saturday. He remains a weak mixed league option against the potent Red Sox lineup.

Jerome Williams held the Astros to one run in 6 1/3 innings in a no-decision Friday.

The veteran right-hander holds a 3.21 ERA and 53/23 K/BB ratio over 84 innings this season and should continue to hold a spot in the Angels' rotation with Tommy Hanson on the mend. He has a tough matchup against the Cardinals next week, so steer clear outside of AL-only leagues.
