Tue Jul 9 201323:42Viciedo homers twice, drives in four in win
Dayan Viciedo went 3-for-4 with two home runs as the White Sox beat the Tigers on Tuesday.
After hitting 25 homers last year, Viciedo had struggled to just five home runs before Tuesday's power surge. He's bound to have some better luck at some point, so it might be a good opportunity to get in on the ground floor before more fly balls start to find the seats for the 24-year-old.

Tue Jun 18 201300:33Dayan Viciedo leads White Sox to win
Dayan Viciedo tripled with the bases loaded in the sixth to lead the White Sox to a 4-2 win over the Astros on Monday.
Viciedo saved the White Sox from what might have been a four-game sweep in Houston. The Astros got all of their runs in the sixth off Bud Norris. The triple was Vicedeo's third in 261 major league games, and it gave him his first multi-RBI game since May 15. That was also the day on which he last homered.

Wed May 29 201317:38Dayan Viciedo goes hitless, makes error
Dayan Viciedo went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and committed an error in left field in Wednesday's loss.
Viciedo got turned around on David Dejesus's fly to deep left to start the game and was charged with an error when it went off his glove. Viciedo's defense is easy enough to shrug off when he's hitting, but his OPS is down 100 points over the last two weeks and he's gone seven straight games without driving in a run. More consistency would be nice.

Wed May 15 201316:48Dayan Viciedo hits fourth homer
Dayan Viciedo went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI Wednesday versus the Twins.
Viciedo has been hot since coming off the DL, going 8-for-18 with two homers and six RBI in six games. The real oddity, though, is that he has five walks during that span. He had a 16/0 K/BB ratio in 13 games before getting hurt. Last year, he had a 120/28 K/BB ratio in 505 at-bats.

Dayan Viciedo will undergo treatment on his left oblique strain Friday and is considered day-to-day.
Viciedo is hopeful of avoiding a stint on the disabled list, and just the fact that he wasn't placed on it immediately, which is often the case with oblique strains, is a good sign. At the very least, though, he should be sidelined for a handful of games.

It was Viciedo's only hit in the game, but it was obviously a big one. The 24-year-old outfielder has two home runs in 19 at-bats this season and should be a reliable source of power numbers throughout the 2013 season.

Tue Mar 26 201321:28Dayan Viciedo could eventually move to 1B
White Sox general manager Rick Hahn said that Dayan Viciedo could eventually move to first base.
It won't happen this season, obviously, but it's an option if Paul Konerko decides to retire after the season or sign elsewhere. "He certainly has the ability to play first if we needed that at some point down the road," said Hahn. "Again, given that we do have some outfield depth coming that hopefully continues to develop the way it has been developing, that could be an option." Hahn indicated that a move back to third base, where Viciedo began his career, probably wouldn't happen.
