Taillon (elbow) is expected to throw his first live batting practice session since undergoing Tommy John Surgery next Friday, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
The first-round pick threw Friday and will throw another bullpen session before facing live batters late next week. Taillon (elbow) will throw bullpens for two more weeks before progressing to live batting practice, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Bill Brink reports.

Taillon (elbow) will resume throwing off a mound next week, Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
Taillon still has a way to go in his recovery from Tommy John surgery, but he will take a big step when he gets back on a mound. Expect him to be assigned to Triple-A Indianapolis when the Pirates determine he is ready for game action -- likely sometime during the summer.

Taillon (elbow) is not expected back until late in the second half of 2015, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
The Pirates are expected to be ultra conservative with Taillon, who underwent Tommy John surgery in April. His recovery continues to progress well -- he's throwing from 120 feet and pitching off flat ground -- but GM Neal Huntington has repeatedly stated that the organization is more concerned with his long-term future than rushing him back for 2015.
