Nate Schierholtz went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a walk against the Phillies on Tuesday.
Schierholtz found himself on the bench at the beginning of the season after a poor spring, but it's going to be hard to sit him now with the start he's off to (.360, 2 HR, 6 RBI in 25 AB). That's bad news for Brandon Belt fans.

Sat Aug 27 201108:29Nate Schierholtz likely DL-bound
Nate Schierholtz (foot) is likely to be placed on the disabled list Saturday.
Not surprising, as the Giants need to clear a spot on the roster for Eric Surkamp, and Schierholtz was likely headed to the DL on Sunday when Andres Torres came back, anyway. He'll be back at some point after the rosters expand.

Nate Schierholtz (foot) could be placed on the 15-day disabled list this weekend.

Just when you think the injury bug couldn't get any worse for the Giants, here's this. While the Giants are busy crossing their fingers, Aubrey Huff will play left field and Brandon Belt will play right on Tuesday night.
