Tue Oct 22 2013 | 23:47 | Dodgers don't rule out Mark Ellis return |
Dodgers general manager Ned Colleti indicated Tuesday that it's possible Mark Ellis could return in 2014 even after the signing of Alexander Guerrero. |
The Dodgers inked Guerrero to a four-year deal with the intention of him taking over at second base, but if it turns out that he's not ready, they could pick up Ellis' $5.75 million option rather than give him a $1 million buyout. "We'll see," Colletti said. "I think Mark Ellis did a tremendous job here. I think Mark Ellis has value to this organization, with or without Guerrero." |
