Wed Jul 21 201015:04Red Sox, Giants and Padres in on DeJesus
A source tells Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Red Sox, Giants and Padres are among five teams interested in David DeJesus.
We have heard the Red Sox and Giants for well over a month now, but the Padres are a relatively new suitor. DeJesus, 30, is batting .320/.386/.446 with five homers and 37 RBI in 350 at-bats with the Royals this season. With his fantastic defense, he would be a nice fit in PETCO. Keep in mind that DeJesus's contract contains a very affordable $6 million club option for next season, so it would cost them.

Tue Jul 13 201016:15Red Sox have talked to Royals about DeJesus
The Red Sox have spoken with the Royals about David DeJesus, according to Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com.
According to the report, the clubs talked about 10 days ago and agreed to stay in contact. We first learned of the club's interest in DeJesus via Scott Lauber of the Boston Globe late last month. While he would be a nice insurance policy for the Red Sox outfield, the Royals would like a generous return. DeJesus, 30, has an affordable $6 million club option for 2011.

Fri Jul 2 201016:57Braves yet to show interest in DeJesus
The Braves haven't displayed any interest in picking up David DeJesus or Jose Guillen from the Royals, according to FOXSports.com's Jon Paul Morosi.
DeJesus would help a bunch, but the price would be high. Guillen probably isn't worth the defensive downgrade.

Mon Jun 28 201021:38Reds aren't talking with Royals about DeJesus
A team insider tells John Fay of the Cincinnati Enquirer that the Reds aren't talking with the Royals about acquiring outfielder David DeJesus.
Fay writes that the Reds "don't have a need for an outfielder" because they have Jay Bruce in right, Jonny Gomes in left and Drew Stubbs in center field. The Giants and Red Sox have also been connected in rumors with DeJesus over the past week.

Sat Jun 26 201016:54DeJesus has three hits in loss
David DeJesus was 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored in a loss to the Cardinals on Saturday afternoon.
Stay hot. DeJesus is batting .404 (36-for-89) with one home run, 14 RBI and 11 runs scored this month. He's an obvious candidate to be traded next month, but the Royals aren't about to give him away for a pittance.
Mon Jun 21 201019:42Giants have interest in David DeJesus
Two major league sources tell Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com that the Giants have interest in acquiring David DeJesus from the Royals.
It doesn't appear that the clubs are engaged in serious talks, however. Still, the Giants remain in the market for an outfield as Aaron Rowand continues to struggle in center field. DeJesus would be attractive for any team, especially with a team-friendly $6 million option for next season, but that's exactly why prying him away from the Royals won't be so easy.

Mon Jun 21 201016:08DeJesus playing in center field on Monday
David DeJesus is starting in center field for the fourth time in the past five games on Monday night against the Nationals.
It's nice to see the Royals are finally doing it right, as he is their best defensive outfielder by far, but the showcase could benefit his trade value, as well. There's no shortage of teams looking for a center fielder right now -- the Braves and Red Sox, just to name two possible destinations -- and DeJesus has a very affordable $6 million club option for next season.

Sun Jun 20 201017:23DeJesus struggles as Royals fall to Braves
David DeJesus went 1-for-5 with a double against the Braves on Sunday, but the Royals lost the game 8-5 after leaving 11 men on base.
Individually that left on base figure is even worse at 25 runners, five of which were attributed to DeJesus. The worst of the Royals' offensive struggles came when they loaded the bases with nobody out in the eighth, only to see DeJesus, Mike Aviles, and Billy Butler all record outs without scoring a run. DeJesus, Aviles, and Butler have all played well overall this season, but today's game is one they'll want to forget.
Thu Jun 17 201000:18DeJesus goes 4-for-4 against Astros
David DeJesus went 4-for-4 on Wednesday to raise his average to .329.
He has 10 hits in his last four games. DeJesus could be on his way to his best season at age 30. He's always been consistent, if injury-prone earlier in his career, but this year he had an 891 OPS that tops his career mark by 100 points.
Tue Jun 15 201009:32DeJesus on the trade block this summer?
Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star believes that Royals outfielder David DeJesus will be floated in trade talks this summer.
It does make some sense. DeJesus, 30, would draw a fair amount of interest as a versatile and talented outfielder. He's batting .314 this season with a .392 on-base percentage, five home runs, 30 RBI and three stolen bases. Set to make $6 million in 2011, he has priced himself out of Kansas City.

Sun Jun 13 201015:51DeJesus reaches five times, scores four
David DeJesus reached base five times, scoring on four of those occasions, against the Reds on Sunday.
Talk about filling up a box score. DeJesus hit a solo homer, doubled, singled, and walked twice. He also kicked in his third steal of the season. DeJesus is on pace to post a career-year, but it's not much different than a typical, albeit more healthy, DeJesus campaign. He's still more of an AL-only format option, but can be used in deeper mixed leagues as a fifth outfielder.
Tue Jun 1 201022:55DeJesus powers Royals to win over Angels
David DeJesus was 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Angels.
DeJesus is enjoying a fine season with a .290/.372/.451 line heading into Tuesday's win. He doesn't have a ton of fantasy upside, but deserves to be owned in most formats.
Fri May 28 201004:23David DeJesus returned to action on Thursday May 27
David DeJesus returned to action on Thursday May 27.
Tue May 25 201017:25DeJesus leaves Royals for birth of child
David DeJesus has left the team on Tuesday to attend the birth of his first child.
He should be back sometime later this week. Willie Bloomquist will start in his place on Tuesday.

Sat Apr 24 201000:08DeJesus has big night for Royals in loss
David DeJesus went 2-for-3 with an inside-the-park home run and two RBI in Friday's loss to the Twins.
DeJesus is locked in as the Royals' leadoff hitter, but predictably has attempted just one steal all season. He's a solid major leaguer and plus athlete, but with limited RBI opportunities and below average baserunning skills, his fantasy upside is capped.
