Valencia has seen regular action at third base the last few weeks, but he will get a day off Tuesday. Brett Lawrie will move over from the keystone and man the hot corner in Valencia's absence.

While he does much of his damage against lefties, Valencia gets the start against the right-handed Matt Andriese regardless. While his batting average is more than 100 points higher against lefties, he's actually got a higher slugging percentage against righties and has hit all three of his home runs this season against right handers.
