Braves placed RHP Brandon Beachy on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 22, with a right elbow injury.
Beachy had Tommy John surgery last June and has been throwing bullpen sessions in Braves' camp this spring. If all goes well, he should be ready to join the Braves' rotation around midseason. He could make for a useful DL-stash in certain fantasy formats.

Brandon Beachy (elbow) has been throwing long-toss from 120 feet but is expecting to increase the distance to 150 within the next week as he continues his rehab from Tommy John surgery.
Beachy had the surgery last June and is hoping to return to the rotation sometime in late June. Brandon Beachy (elbow) is shooting for a mid-June return next season.

I feel somewhat like an athlete again, for a little bit, three times a week."
