Brandon Beachy allowed two runs on seven hits in 6 1/3 innings of Wednesday's win over the Dodgers.
He struck out six, walked one and served up a solo home run to Matt Kemp (no shame in that) in taking a no-decision. The quality start was Beachy's third straight, while he's now gone at least 6 1/3 innings in each of his past three outings. He'll bring a 1.05 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 20/7 K/BB ratio into his Monday tilt with the Pirates.

Excellent. Beachy struck out five and walked just one in the easy victory. He has allowed just one earned run over 19 1/3 innings this season, good enough for a major-league best 0.47 ERA. He appears poised to build on his impressive performance from last season.

Beachy will begin the year as the Braves' No. 4 starter. He hasn't been his best this spring, as the 5.54 ERA demonstrates, but he did end up with a 16/2 K/BB ratio in his last four outings after walking seven batters in his first two.

Sat Mar 17 201215:49Brandon Beachy strikes out six in win
Brandon Beachy allowed one run and two hits in four innings and struck out six as the Braves beat a Blue Jays split-squad on Saturday.
Rajai Davis and Travis Snider were the only players in Toronto's lineup today with much chance of cracking the roster, so Beachy had it pretty easy. Still, it was nice to see him have a strong outing after two poor ones to start the spring. He walked just one today after issuing seven free passes in his first five innings of the month.

Brandon Beachy walked five while allowing one run in three innings Monday against the Cardinals.
Beachy managed to minimize the damage today, but seven walks in five innings to date is far too many. It'd be nice to see some progress from the 25-year-old next time out.

Wed Jun 22 201116:27Brandon Beachy fans 11 in return from DL
Brandon Beachy was stellar in his return from the DL, striking out 11 and allowing one run over six innings in a win ove the Blue Jays.
Beachy missed with a breaking ball to Jose Bautista that was deposited over the wall in left, but he was otherwise terrific in besting his previous high for strikeouts by two. It's come as a surprise to us, but he's looked like a solid mixed-league starter since day one this spring.

Wed Jun 22 201113:23Brandon Beachy activated
Braves activated RHP Brandon Beachy from the 15-day disabled list.
Beachy will get the ball Wednesday against the Blue Jays. The right-hander has been out since mid-May with a strained oblique and will return to a 3.45 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 46/12 K/BB ratio over 44 1/3 innings.

Mon Jun 20 201117:09Beachy (oblique) expected to start Monday
Brandon Beachy (oblique) will start Wednesday against the Blue Jays.
Beachy will replace Tommy Hanson, who was placed on the disabled list last week with right shoulder tendinitis. The 24-year-old right-hander had a 3.45 ERA and 46/12 K/BB ratio before going down with a strained left oblique in mid-May, so it would be wise to skim the waiver wire in mixed leagues to see if he's still available.

Sat Jun 18 201114:46Brandon Beachy likely to start Wednesday
Brandon Beachy (oblique) threw a successful side session Saturday and looks to be penciled in as the Braves' starter for Wednesday.
The Braves had wanted Beachy to make one more rehab starter, but that went out the window after Tommy Hanson (shoulder) landed on the disabled list. Beachy allowed just one run while striking out eight over five innings in his lone rehab start at Triple-A Gwinnett and will bring a 3.46 ERA and 1.08 WHIP back to the Braves rotation.
